Carrie Prejean could star on Celebrity Apprentice (Update)

If you thought you’d heard the last of Carrie Prejean, boy are you wrong. Turns out the former Miss California might be a contestant on the next season of Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice.” Trump’s people make it out like he’s really wishy washy and doesn’t care either way – but then why would he be bothering in the first place? Giving Carrie Prejean more national attention is bound to help ratings – and more importantly, give Donald’s flushed, rosy cheeks more attention too.

Donald Trump was the one who gave the Miss California directors the go-ahead to dethrone beauty queen Carrie Prejean earlier this year, but it looks like he may soon have the opportunity to say “you’re fired” himself.

Pop Tarts has learned that Prejean has been in talks with Trump over the past few weeks to star in the third installment of his hit NBC show “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“Carrie really wants to do it,” an insder told Tarts. “Trump keeps going back and forth over it, he doesn’t really care either way.”

A rep for Trump said that the casting process is ongoing and nothing has been determined, while a rep for the 22-year-old former pageant princess told us that they were “unaware” of the negotiations taking place. Prejean did not return emails requesting comment.

Tarts also hears that this isn’t the only reality show Prejean has had discussions with recently. According to another insider, the folks from “Dancing With the Stars” really wanted the blonde beauty to salsa her way into the Monday and Tuesday night time slots, but in the end, an agreement couldn’t be reached.

[From Pop Tarts]

If Carrie’s smart, she’s in discussions with any and everyone who’ll take her. She’s officially at the 14:30 mark on her 15 minutes of fame. It’s time to take whatever you can get and amass some cash while there are still a few people interested. I don’t completely believe that Donald Trump doesn’t care either way – am I really supposed to believe Donald Trump bothers with anything he doesn’t care about? – but he probably realizes her teeny star is fading. He can let her wander off into oblivion or be the reason she gets an extra five minutes.

Despite all the controversy, Carrie never struck me as stupid. For some unfathomable reason, I am genuinely interested to see what she ends up doing. If The Donald does put her on “Celebrity Apprentice,” I could see her doing well there but probably pissing off a lot of people. But hey, that’s the beating heart of reality television. “Dancing With the Stars,” however, would be a riot.

Update: Carrie’s lawyer just told Radar that she will not be appearing on “Celebrity Apprentice” because “They couldn’t work it out with her schedule.” Hmm… who knew cutting the big ribbon at the opening of new restaurants and car dealerships took up so much time?

So, I’ve TOTALLY been saying her name ‘Pray Jean’ in my head and cos I live overseas I never seen this bird on telly or anything. So I’m like watching The Insider or somesuch at stupid o’clock the other morning…oh wait, or was it Letterman or something…whatevs, don’t matter – anyway, this guy says her name ‘PreZohn’ all posh and French-like.

I fell off the couch larfing at myself. I love sh1t like that. Fact. Like I always used to say ‘segue’ as ‘seg yoo’ in my head even tho I knew how to pronounce it right – then I got busted saying it wrong out loud so I make myself say it right in my head all the time now.

Sheesh. The whole post is like the rantings of a drunkard. Soz.

I disagree with her “opinion” the same way I disagree with the “opinions” of white supremacists, or with the “opinions” of anyone that chooses to discriminate. Bigotry is bigotry, whether you dress it up in religion or not.

    Who is this chick, again?

    I like her hat.

Had this story featured the contrasting images of Prejean/Nazi Cruise like the Inglourious Bastards/Valkyrie post did, it would have been far more amusing. :-))

    1. Like I need your permission.

    2. So I guess hating gays is beautiful and loving if I follow your ‘thought’ to its conclusion ? Where can I subscribe to your newsletter?

    3. Her star is fading faster than expected if she’s already reality show bait. I thought Fox would have snapped her up in a heartbeat. She’s pretty, dumb as a brick, as says reactionary things that twitchy white middle-class males can agree with, because they think it’ll get them a shot at getting in her knickers.

  12. Marie says:

    Carrie who?

  13. barneslr says:

Oh, you are just so terribly predictable.

“So I guess hating gays is beautiful”

She didn’t say she hates gays. She said she doesn’t support gay marriage. It’s called READING COMPREHENSION. You might want to try practicing it sometime.

BTW, her position is the same exact position stated numerous times by the president. If you hate her for feeling that way, then I can only assume that you hate Obama for that same reason, since they agree 100% on the issue (he said it again just a few days ago, in fact).

  14. Tia says:

barneslr, do you realize this is the same thought over and over?? OMG!! Get something original. She is a hypocritical bigot, President Obama is not. She is a joke, a pathetic moron. You sticking up for her only reminds me of the phrase, birds of a feather stick together.. lol. Also, don’t you realize how bible thumping freaks (not true good hearted christians) are viewed as being uneducated, creepy wierdos, that is why you are in the minority of supporting her. THINK ABOUT IT.. helllllooo. We will pray for you though.

  15. Praise St. Angie! says:

“her position is the same exact position stated numerous times by the president.”

actually, it’s not EXACTLY the same, as has been covered here over and over.

Barack Obama and Gay Marriage/ Civil Unions:
Although Barack Obama has said that he supports civil unions, he is against gay marriage. In an interview with the Chicago Daily Tribune, Obama said, “I’m a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman.”

Barack Obama did vote against a Federal Marriage Amendment and opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996.

He said he would support civil unions between gay and lesbian couples, as well as letting individual states determine if marriage between gay and lesbian couples should be legalized.

From the White House Web site: President Obama supports full civil unions that give same-sex couples legal rights and privileges equal to those of married couples. Obama also believes we need to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and enact legislation that would ensure that the 1,100+ federal legal rights and benefits currently provided on the basis of marital status are extended to same-sex couples in civil unions and other legally-recognized unions. These rights and benefits include the right to assist a loved one in times of emergency, the right to equal health insurance and other employment benefits, and property rights.”

    http://lesbianlife.about.com/od/lesbianactivism/p/BarackObama.htm

from what I’ve read about her, she does NOT support civil unions for gay couples, and she is IN support of a federal ban on gay marriage.

so, no, not exactly the same.

  16. barneslr says:

“She is a hypocritical bigot, President Obama is not”

Okay, Tia. Let’s try this again. You say she is a “hypocritical bigot” because she is anti-gay marriage.

President Obama says the EXACT same thing, but you say “Obama is not.”

Please, enlighten me. How do you figure that? Why is the POTUS held to a lower standard than the beauty pageant contestant? Seems to me the reverse should be true. After all, she has no power. She holds no office. She sets no policies, so really…who cares what she thinks?

He, however, is arguably the most powerful person on the planet…yet you find it easy to look away and say it’s just fine that he says the EXACT same thing she does…and there’s no outrage and no condemnation for his beliefs.

The fact is, either something is right or it is wrong, regardless of who says it. If you hate and revile her for being against gay marriage, unless you are intellectually dishonest, you MUST hate everyone who agrees with her, INCLUDING Obama. It’s not wrong when she says it but right when he says it. That makes no sense.

  17. Wresa says:

Ugh. PLEASE no more stories about her. She is not a star and she is not intelligent enough to be interesting.

  18. Hieronymus Grex says:

Go away Barnes, you strain on a gnat and swallow a camel. Racca. Thou fool. I’d explain humor to you, but I don’t want to read six paragraphs of text back from you about your Obama/Carrie Prejean/Bigfoot conspiracy triangles to prove how right you are bullsh*t.

  19. Magsy says:

Trumps gotta do something to boost the ratings. You know he’ll have her work for a gay charity or something to redeem herself.
