Kimberly Guilfoyle is Don Trump Jr’s girlfriend. She’s a former Fox News personality and I’ve always believed that Donald Trump hand-picked her to be Don’s girlfriend. Don’s marriage crashed and burned a few years back and it seems like Kimberly is the “brains” behind everything to do with Don’s life these days. I can’t even imagine, but here we are. Kimberly and Don are inseparable and completely awful. And she just tested positive for the coronavirus:
Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of President Trump’s eldest son and a top fund-raising official for the Trump re-election campaign, tested positive for the coronavirus on Friday before a Fourth of July event at Mount Rushmore, a person familiar with her condition said.
Ms. Guilfoyle traveled to South Dakota with Mr. Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., in anticipation of attending a huge fireworks display where the president was set to speak. They did not travel aboard Air Force One, according to the person familiar with her condition, and she was the only person in the group who tested positive. As a routine precaution, people who come in close contact with Mr. Trump are screened for the virus.
Ms. Guilfoyle is the third person in possible proximity to Mr. Trump known to have contracted the virus. A personal valet who served Mr. Trump his food and the press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence tested positive for the virus in May.
Ms. Guilfoyle was not experiencing symptoms, the person familiar with her condition said. She and the younger Mr. Trump never met up with the president’s entourage, the person said. Out of caution, the couple plans to drive back from South Dakota to the East Coast, the person said. Still, that another person who was expected to be near Mr. Trump tested positive — and someone who most staff aides consider a member of the Trump family — is likely to renew attention around potential risks to the president.
Ms. Guilfoyle attended Mr. Trump’s indoor rally last month in Tulsa, Okla. Before and since then, some campaign staff and Secret Service personnel have tested positive for the coronavirus. Herman Cain, a former Republican presidential candidate who was also at the rally, said this week that he had been hospitalized with the virus.
The funniest part was “They did not travel aboard Air Force One…” LMAO. Trump’s son and his girlfriend weren’t even good enough to travel on the MAGA plane with daddy. Oh well. It’s so ridiculous to me that all of these people around Donald Trump and Mike Pence keep testing positive for the virus and yet… no one in the Trump or Pence family has tested positive. It’s weird. I can think of tons of reasons for why Bigly and Mother’s Husband would lie about it, but it’s weird that Don Jr or Ivanka or Jared have never “tested positive.”

I suspect Trump is a mask wearer behind the scenes, he is probably bathing in hand sanitizer at this point. But on camera they make sure to take his mask off.
I heard that they were tested twice a day at the White House but I’m not sure if I remembering that correctly.
I still think he already had it and that’s why he doesn’t wear masks. Being such a germaphobe I don’t see him being around people during a pandemic without one unless he thinks he is immune.

I think Trump has to be getting antibody injections. He is such a narcissist that he wouldn’t be able to avoid telling everyone if he had gotten it and beaten it.

Nah, you’d have to assume that he and people around him are smart enough to make science-based decisions.
First, we don’t even know if there’s a protective immune response generated by getting infected and mounting a good immune response is even harder amongst the elderly in general so no one in their right mind would think it’s safe to send an obese, unhealthy, 70-something person into crowds of people even if they had previously got the virus. Second, we can’t say that a second exposure wouldn’t lead to a higher risks of overwhelming the immune system and causing a cytokine storm so you wouldn’t want someone who had a mild form the 1st time to risk re-exposure until we know more.
I think they’re just dumb and 45 truly believes his money and whiteness protect him from pesant afflictions (to an extend, it does but not the way he believes it). He’s trying his luck a little too much and it’ll blow in his face at some point

@Arpeggi current data for COVID+ patients who were asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic shows that antibodies to the virus don’t last for > 2 months and that levels decrease over time up through 2 months post infection. It may be different for those who have moderate – severe cases but it appears as though other folks are not protected from re-infection. To make matters worse, lung CT-scans of asymptomatic COVID+ patients do show signs of significant pulmonary changes – while those changes don’t appear to cause any clinical symptoms, I didn’t see any reference to those patients also having pulmonary function testing (it’s possible they did have it but as they didn’t have underlying respiratory issues prior to infection there is no baseline data to compare to see if there is any significant decrease in pulmonary function). If junior or anyone is relying on a herd effect or prior COVID exposure w/mild or no symptoms to protect them, they may learn a very hard lesson with re-exposure to COVID or even any other respiratory infection. (and yes, I know it’s horrible to say but I hope that Trump’s adult children working in the administration/campaign are forced to learn that lesson the hard way)
That’s my theory too. He was MIA for a couple weeks, then started doing speeches to the press. He seemed barely alive. I hadn’t seen him speak in about a year at that point and I was impressed by his rapid decline, but then…he recovered to whatever he is now. In retrospect, I think he had it or some other illness
@Pottymouth, yes I know, some of my buddies are studying the antibody response against sars-cov-2. Though while Abs seems to decline, there seems to be also a good T cell response raised against the virus and that has potential to last longer (it’s hard to say cuz we only have about 6-8 months data to study it). There hasn’t seem to have been real cases of reinfection so far so that’s encouraging but again, we simply haven’t been studying this long enough to be able to know anything about long term protection or effects.
But my point still stands: we don’t need to go too deep to explain why 45 doesn’t wear a mask. He probably hasn’t got it already, he’s not given plasma transfusion weekly or any other prophylaxis, that’d take too much thinking and planning. He and his team are just too entitled and dumb (and being POTUS, those who meets with him regularly are likely tested more often). He’s likely gonna get it eventually though
I think someone on Celebitchy commented once that Trump pretends to be a germophobe because he worships Howard Hughs? That made a LOT of sense to me.
It’s his defense as to why he would never have participated in the, um, urinary defilement of the Russian presidential suite formerly occupied by President and Mrs. Obama. Not because “that’s awful and I would never do such a thing” or for any other reason that a rational person would use, but because ew, germs! Just like how he defends himself against sexual assault by disparaging the women accusing him, not by saying “sexual assault is reprehensible and I would never engage in such behavior.” Because he DID, and he DOES. I think Ivanka did test positive back in March. She did a series of photo ops with a delegation from Brazil and another from Australia with members of both groups announcing they had it just days later. She also attended the Mar A Lago covid festival that was Guilfoyle’s birthday party after which numerous attendees tested positive. She then disappeared for a few weeks, with the White House saying she was self-isolating and working from home. One of her staff (her illegal staff because we should not be paying for a single staff person for a nepotism hire) was announced as having it around the same time. She was silent for about two weeks and then started these ridiculous #TogetherApart tweets telling parents to have the nannies pitch tents in the living room and make smores for the kids, complete with very old pictures of her kids. And she started doing Monday morning video lectures. After about a month of this, she returned to work at the White House around the time it was announced Miller’s wife and the valet had it.
And Guilfoyle and Junior always look like neither of them ever showers. And sure, drive cross country from Montana to Washington DC with the virus. Be sure to pee on the side of the road so you don’t contaminate any restrooms.
That’s very interesting. On the news yesterday they said Junior tested negative. I find that hard to believe considering he’s been around his gf a lot and I assume they kiss. I just think the Trumps won’t admit it if any of them did test positive because we are supposed to believe the Trumps are a special kind of breed lol.
If he doesn’t have it yet, he will after that long drive together. And what hotel is going to want them as guests, now that she has tested positive?
My thoughts are with the Secret Service agents who have to travel with him. He could decline a detail but he won’t because it makes him feel important.

It grates on me to no end that they all have the best of the best in terms of protection, testing, and medical care. This while so many others (so much more worthwhile in my estimation – I know that’s a horrible thing to say) struggle to get tested and, in states that are surging now, struggle to get medical attention.

It was held in Custer State park, much of it indoors. There are photos of her hugging the Governor of South Dakota. The Governor then flew back to D.C. with the president on Airforce one.
