Last week, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian made their first public outing as a couple after both of their marriages crashed and burned. It’s generally assumed that they had been having an affair since they filmed their Lifetime movie, and had continued to quietly see each other once the affair became public. Their first outing was to a golf course, and then, over the weekend, LeAnn and Eddie were photographed laughing and exiting a Kings of Leon concert in Los Angeles. They both look totally amused that they were “caught”. Because Eddie’s just a single guy, right? And we’re all pushing our unfair fishbowl perspective on him. Except that Eddie’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville is on the warpath. This woman is pissed, and I tend to think she has every right to be.
Brandi’s first statement, when she left Eddie, was: “I want to do what is best for our children. Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other.” Around the same time as Eddie and LeAnn’s little visit to the golf course, Brandi told Us Weekly: “Eddie is a compulsive liar, cheater and a home wrecker. And he has been an absentee father. Eddie’s displays of poor taste have hurt our two children. Eddie may just end up drowning himself in that ‘unfair fishbowl’.” Now Brandi has given another statement to People Magazine:
It’s official: LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are no longer hiding their relationship. On Saturday night, the couple stepped out to the Kings of Leon concert in Los Angeles, just two days after they hit the links – and openly flirted with each other – at Valencia Country Club.
The couple’s decision to go public prompted Cibrian’s estranged wife Brandi Glanville to tell PEOPLE: “He’s just somebody I don’t know.” In March, she had stood by her husband of eight years after allegations surfaced that Cibrian, 36, and Rimes, 26, were having affair.
“I don’t understand,” she says now. “You think you know one thing and you wake up and it’s all been a lie.”
Glanville, who is separated from the CSI: Miami star, says she is unable to completely explain to the couple’s sons Mason, 6, and Jake, 2, what is going on between mom and dad. (Rimes and her husband, Dean Sheremet, are also separated.)
“They know that daddy is at work all the time,” she says. “That’s what I tell them. When he does come home it is surprising for them and they are very happy.”
Glanville, on the other hand, has a different reaction: “I’m just like, ‘You know what? You’re not the man I married.’ ”
She adds that she has spoken with Rimes twice recently, and told her, “‘He’s all yours.’ ”
Glanville says she has no plans to reconcile with Cibrian, and hopes to file divorce papers soon. “There is one side of him that I absolutely love and always will,” she notes, “but that side of him is not the side I’m divorcing.”
Neither Cibrian’s nor Rimes’s rep was available for comment.

I really hope Brandi continues to make bitchy statements. This isn’t one of those cases where I would normally think that an estranged wife is playing the “victim” card too much. Brandi and Eddie have two children together, and Eddie was out screwing two other women that we know about. He’s a liar, a douche, a womanizer, and he’s just really gross, and LeAnn is gross if she thinks her sweet-as-pie image will be enough to gloss over this situation.

Leeann is prancing around as if she’s won some prize. She has gone way down (no pun intended) in my book. She’s probably thinking “I’m so hot I was able to make thisman leave his wife”. When in reality, that’s not an accomplishment. It’s a disgrace.
They both suck and his wife should be glad to be rid of him. These celebs look so foolish when they deny, deny,deny and then get together in the end. Why not just admit the truth and get on with it? They’d look some-what less shady.

to wow, you touched on an important point.
when a woman goes after a man she knows is “taken”, it’s almost always about power. it’s an ego boost for the woman that she is so pretty/talented/rich etc…that she can “pull” a man away from a woman he’s committed to. in her eyes, it means she’s “better” than his wife/girlfriend.
it’s usually not about the guy, but about the woman. for the man, it’s tempting, flattering, etc…but it’s not about him.
the other thing is that (yes, there are exceptions) guys who cheat WITH you will usually cheat ON you.

Ok Leeann did not MAKE him leave his wife. He left because he wanted OUT and the more I hear from his wife I can almost see why he wanted out.
He was wrong to cheat..but why was he cheating? We have no idea what that marriage was, I dont sleep in his bed do you?
She is using the kids to make her look good and him look bad .
No one can steal another persons spouse because they are NOT property. Leeann wasn’t his first nor will she be his last he is a cheater but why?

The TWO people in this affair will hopefully be wiping their smuggy smiles off their faces soon. Country folks tend to vote with their dollar. I hope LeAnn has a good accountant. She may depend on the money she has already made vs. income in the future, or lack thereof.

this may shock you, but not all men cheat because “they want out of their marriage”.
I know a guy who, though he loves his gf enormously and wants to marry her, will cheat on her whenever he gets the chance because he’s just horny all the time and loves variety. But the gf is the one he wants to “go home to”.

In any event, men cheat because they want to and because they can. It has nothing to do with you they love or don’t love or any of that. If they want to do it and the opportunity presents itself then they will cheat.
A woman on the other hand usually has to have a reason to cheat – usually a need not being met.
Eddie and Leann just have no scruples at all. I’m all with his wife on this one – let him have it.

Both of them were married and they both cheated for whatever reasons, so let them have each other and move on. Why keep bitching about him, she should be glad she got rid of him and can move on to maybe someone that will treat her right. It’s hard for me to judge. I’ve been on the other side of this fence. When I met my husband, we were both “taken.” But, we were both miserable. I was married to a bully, and his ex-wife only cared about his money. We both realized we were with the wrong people, we broke it off, waited until the divorce was final, then started a relationship. That was 12 yrs ago.

Yes, who knows what goes on in a marriage, but there still is room for integrity and honor. Fall out love, no problem, be an adult and talk to your spouse. Work out an arrangement that is best for your children. Brandi is angry and was played like a fool by her husband. The public comments are probably her way of venting. With her divorce settlement, get a good therapist and start dealing with daddy being gone from home for good. As far as EC, bet he never wanted to leave his family, just wanted to continue the illicit sexual affairs. Never ever thought his wife would leave him. Every picture of him with LR, he is hiding his face, turning away or frowning. The marriage ending part for both of these idiots is not the issue; the enormous amount of lies and resulting pain is the problem. Look in the mirror EC and LR and what do you see? It has nothing to do with beauty, but integrity!

Very well said. She has every right to talk about about her experience, especially when the SMIRK and LIAR are out making their affair public as if no one was hurt by this and magazines like People are parring them on the back for it. She doesn’t owe EC and LR a thing, so why should she sit back and take what they are dishing out? People magazine set a bad example when they wrote that piece about EC and LR “great chemistry”. So her comments to People are great way to show these magazines how they contribute to these affairs and to remind them that “great chemistry” means nothing when there are 4 people hurting in the background. As long as he keeps prancing around with his gloating mistress, she has every right to talk.
Just because EC shows up all over LA with LR or is spotted laughing or smiling with her it doesn’t mean that he is loves her or that everything is rosey. He did the same thing with his wife and was sleeping with LR the whole time, so what these public outtings tells the public/media is that EC is using the affair to boost his image and LR is just too afraid to let EC go out alone in public for fear that he might cheat.

Correction: EC didn’t want out, as evidenced by the fact that it was his wife who left him and it was his wife who told his mistress to take him. It appears that EC never intended on leaving his wife or for his affair to become anything more than a fling. When a woman shows up at a hotel with a married man she is helping him break up his marriage.It’s that simple, a woman who has no intentions of breaking up a marriage would decline a married man’s request for sex.

No not really. People cheat because they are selfish, it has nothing to do with what their spouse is and isn’t doing. In fact when people say that they cheated because they were unhappy or fell out of love, they are passing the buck. They are too much of coward to admit that they cheated because they wanted to cheat and that’s what it comes down to. Ec cheated because he wanted to cheat.

There are two issues here: free will and stealing. Isn’t the definition of stealing taking something that doesn’t belong to you? According to the courts when people get married they become one/joined, as evidenced by the marriage license. So heres the moment of truth: Was LR EC wife or EC LR husband? Therefore, she did steal him and vice versa. All those times he was at a motel with her/she was at motel with him, he/she could have been with his family and working on their selfish need to stray. Now there’s free will, the path one takes when they reach that fork in the road. EC and LR were wrong.

We rarely hear from the victims of affairs because magazines like People have said that they are afterthoughts. People magazine was wrong for how they glorified the affair and she did a good job at showing them this. Hopefully they don’t follow up her interview with a spread of EC and LR. If she was trying to get the sympathy vote she would be standing on a stage talking about God (ie-LR).In case you haven’t noticed, she is the victim here not LR or EC.
