New rumors are swirling about Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. They’re pretty much the same old rumors that have been going on for months – sources telling the tabloids that Gerry and Jennifer were spotted snuggling up to each other, or walking into a hotel together, or that Jennifer was fondling Gerry’s moobs or whatever (I made that one up). The latest incarnation is this: Jennifer and Gerry were holding hands Saturday night in New York. Of course, Jennifer’s rep Stephen Huvane corrected People’s report, saying that definitely were not holding hands. However, Huvane didn’t say anything about Friday’s report on Radar that Jennifer and Gerry were kissing on set. In the past few months, Gerard has denied being romantically involved with Jennifer several times, in several interviews. Perhaps their status has changed?
Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler were seen “hand in hand” this weekend at The Jane Hotel in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, a source tells PEOPLE. The two are currently filming The Bounty in New York City.
“Jen and Gerry went out on Saturday night,” says the source, who, noting that the cozy couple were surrounded by such others as Kirsten Dunst, also said Aniston and Butler “had cocktails and … They were hand in hand.”
Aniston’s rep, however, says the pair were simply out with pals. “Jennifer was out with many others from the film and they were not holding hands,” says Stephen Huvane. “Gerry was one of many from the film there.”
The newest “in” spot, The Jane has been attracting the likes of Mischa Barton and Kate Winslet, among others.
According to another source, Aniston, 40, and Butler, 39, were also spotted dining on the Lower East Side at Freemans, another hot spot, before cozying up at the hotel lounge.

Yeah… they had “cocktails”. Except Gerard doesn’t drink anymore. Unless he was drinking a Shirley Temple. Which would be really cute.
In one Gerry-related note, he recently gave an interview to a Scottish newspaper where he talked about how disappointed he was in himself for forgoing his natural Scottish accent to achieve more success in Hollywood. The funniest part is that compared himself to Sheena Easton! Gerry said: “I hated anyone from Scotland who lost their accent in the slightest. When Sheena Easton made it in America and suddenly stared talking in an accent I swore and threw shoes at her on the television. I’m not comfortable enough [to] do American accents only when we film so I have to keep it up all the time. I really hate myself for doing that.” Oh, the self-loathing Scotsman. How sweet. I would nail him no matter the accent, although I do have affection for his natural Scottish brogue. I’m sure Aniston feels the same way.

Well I like Gerard Butler, but I wouldn’t say Jen is his usual type. He’s usually into women who are darker than her. But being that he has gone on record as to deny dating her, it probably mean he truly is dating her. You know how those celebs deny everything at first (i.e. Leann Rimes and that other couple who shall remain nameless
) and then in the following weeks they are out and about as couple.

I am sorry but I really don’t like her. SHe has milked her divorce for all the attention she could get. She has used Brad and Angie to stay in the limelight and to help promote her look a like rom coms over and over again. Her PR team is so evil that they do whatever they can to make Angie look bad but Karma is a bi..h. Angie has positive karma. Aniston not so much.

Oh, this is too obvious a pr ploy. After Cooper picked Renee, Aniston has to come out with a new defense. Why didn’t Huvane deny her connection with Coop? Hmmmm . . . I really don’t get the antipathy to Jen Aniston. People really love to hate her and assign all sorts of ulterior motives to every single thing she does. Why? Is it because she’s a woman? Heaven, give me a break, her friend asked her the question not a reporter! After 5 yrs . . . that’s sad. She has no one to blame about her image but herself. I can think of so many other actresses who dealt with their divorces with little fanfare (Reese, Uma, Nicole, Mary Louise Parker). Shark attack victims have a faster recovery than Aniston.

Hello, actually it was the tabloids that keep pushing the triangle and posters are quick to respond – just look at the number of comments on this site on a story related to Aniston, Jolie and Pitt..they out number the others by a wide margin. It is the consumer that pushes the product and in this case the three players in this saga. The stakes have changed now it’s Renee and Jennifer, Brad Cooper instead of Pitt and anyone who really believes these stories needs to buy a parcel of land I have available…and I need financial help to move my millions from Nigeria.

I think that Angelina has a better image today than during her BBT period and before that. I think that Jennifer has a worse image today that she had before.
It’s ironic cause Jolie 34, was a wild child, the bad girl, the controversial one and end up in a more stable relationship and usually put some very conservative clothes on, more mother type or matron type in her everyday behaviour.
Jennifer 6 and a half years older was America Sweetheart, used to be more elegant, raffined, poised and lady like than she is today. And her choices in men have gone straight up downhill (not even refering to their physique) culminating with a douche like Mayer, all this as she is aging and hitting 40 already.
It’s like reversal image perception of what they used to be. One is maturing compared to her past, the other one is regressing compared to her own past.
