People that don't read about her regularly remember those stories & don't care about anything else that she does. She sued a magazine for false drug comments, she can't do cocaine because she has asthma, & she given a court order to keep the paparazzi away. She also said (on tape) that the tabloids are complete rubbish. Lily Allen is not nuts, or an alcoholic, and certainly not a drug abuser. She's rich, talented and successful in her 20s. Regular professional women have trouble finding guys who aren't intimidated, let alone a young successful singer. Women of that caliber just have to deal with the fact that they can't expect the John Wayne type in a partner -- that guy wants a non-threatening missy who will adore him 24-7 (see also: George Clooney). Lily and her ilk need a modern guy who will adore her 24-7. Lily is fab. She’s rich, talented and successful in her 20s.
