Princess Eugenie & Beatrice went to a private nightclub in the middle of a pandemic

The British Royals Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice enjoy a night of fun at Annabels in London

Coronavirus cases are spiking in North America and Europe. Most European countries are being somewhat sensible-to-very sensible about it, all while Donald Trump hosts superspreader Nazi rallies across the US. Yesterday, Boris Johnson announced some new measures to curb the corona spike in the UK – the UK won’t do another big lockdown, but they’re trying to limit nightlife and large gatherings, obviously, and they’re definitely trying to put big limitations on pubs and bars. I would assume that means private nightclubs too? Or not.

Last night, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie stepped out in London. They went partying at Annabels, a very exclusive private club popular with royals and celebrities. They made a big show of wearing masks, but… this is a horrible look. Two work-shy princesses running out to a nightclub with security on the same day the prime minister introduces new pandemic/lockdown measures? The optics are terrible. Nevermind the fact that Beatrice and Eugenie’s security also had to play with umbrellas to “shield” them from the paparazzi, because what looks worse: lazy princesses nightclubbing during a pandemic, or lazy princesses trying to hide the fact that they’re partying during a pandemic?

The Daily Mail and Hello covered this as just a snazzy “girls night out” for the poor York sisters. It’s just… asinine. Drink at home. Dance at home. Invite two friends over, take their temperatures and party at home.

Losers. The rich think they can live by their own rules. Like those jerks in the Hamptons who crowded in for a Chainsmokers concert and DJ set by the chair of Goldman Sachs. And those protection officers are there to protect them from harm, not from bad publicity.

    • BayTampaBay says:

Well these two need to think about the safety of their personal protection officers IMPO.

If these two want to party then they just need to stay home and have a dinner party.

  2. Mignionette says:

LMFAO …. these Royals are just embarrassing themselves day by day !

  3. Becks1 says:

Do they get taxpayer funded security?

I feel we haven’t used this word in a while, so I guess its time to talk about the OPTICS. This is just bad optics. The rich princesses being whisked around town in what (looks like?) a range rover with their security team while the UK’s infection rates are spiking and Boris is introducing these new rules.

    • fluffy_bunny says:

Of course it’s a Range Rover. I think the RF has a sponsorship deal with them.

      • BayTampaBay says:

        The British Royal Family merching?

I have no pearls left to clutch as I have broken every strand!

      • cassandra says:

        @BayTampaBay
Out of pearls to clutch sounds like a fun way to say you’re out of fxxxs to give hahaha

I really hope The Windsors gets to do a season of The Royals in quarantine cause I bet it would be hysterical

      • Anners says:

Oooh – I *like* that! I’m totally stealing “out of pearls to clutch”

  4. Seraphina says:

Nothing surprises me any more. And they are just showing how the BRF only thinks of them selves and their God ordained right to do as they please, how they please, when they please regardless of the ramifications. PANDEMIC be damned, they need a night out! Silly Princesses of the realm.

  5. Noki says:

Work shy? Atleast these girls managed to somewhat form a professional career. They are still grifters but i think there are worse examples,i think Eugenie has some real world work ethic .

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Eugenie has had a stable job. Bea is the one that flits from place to place every year, lending only her “name/connections” (like entering at “VP” of that tech firm?? Experience for this?? please! This grifter does not “work”. She is an “In Name Only” hire. Let’s not forget, she’s the one that took SEVENTEEN “vacations” in ONE YEAR from her last “job”.

I have no patience for these two wastes of space. Why do THEY keep their HRHs? They do rep Petty Betty on occasion, and are allowed to hold “jobs” (again, for Bea, using that term VERY losely!).

    • Mtec says:

      @Noki
Eugenie co-founded an anti-human trafficking “collective”, she was supposed to start an anti-sex trafficking podcast just before the controversy with Andrew and Epstein blew up. Since then she hasn’t said a word on it. Seems her “ethics” go only as far as it doesn’t apply to her or her family. She has no integrity. It’s been evident for a while and this is just another example of her believing rules don’t apply to her and her family.

    • Wiglet Watcher says:

I’ve defended these girls a lot because their parents and family suck. They got heavily bullied by Kate. The press was always merciless to them as kids. But this? Ugh…
they’re old enough to know better. And this whole family was awful to Megan for existing near them.
Their work ethic is for show. Let them pay their own way like Harry.

      • Sofia says:

@WW: I also defended them a lot and if anyone tries to blame Andrew and Fergie’s behaviour on them then I’ll defend them then.

BUT they are 30 something year olds capable of making their own decisions. Just because they /can/ go out, doesn’t mean they should as @Sarah says below. At some point, people need to stop blaming ALL of their choices on their parents and start treating them as the adults that they are.

      • equality says:

I have never seen where Eugenie or Beatrice have snubbed Meghan, although, there are rumors out that they don’t get along with Kate. They both do their own charity work outside of the royals, on their own time and, at least, try to hold down serious jobs.

    • Nic919 says:

What adults in their 30s with actual jobs run off to party in the middle of the week ? Not any with serious work obligations.

    • Chris says:

What career? I don’t believe those 2 actually work, They always pictured clubbing, travelling, eternal wedding guess around the world! What career?? Those girls don’t have a job. They are living off Pedo Andrew’s money( tax payers)

  6. MaryContrary says:

Will the DM and Piers Morgan be outraged by this? Nah-let’s shade Meghan and Harry for encouraging people to vote and be kind.

  7. aquarius64 says:

The clubbing is bad enough but where are their husbands? Problems because of Daddy’s Epstein mess? The York sisters lost security years ago but no outrage from the press.

  8. TheOriginalMia says:

Cute dress, Bea. Those knees are ashy, though. Yeah, they could stay home and imbibe. Just so stupid.

  9. BlinkBanana says:

They haven’t done anything wrong. We can still go out in the UK, but from tomorrow all pubs, bars and restaurants will need to close at 10pm… I’m failing to understand what you’re upset about?!

    • Seraphina says:

BlinkBanana, are there restrictions on the amount of people allowed in a gathering? And are they supposed to wear masks?

For example, here in the state of Virginia, we wear masks at the restaurant but to go to the loo (I so prefer using that word instead of bathroom) we have to wear a mask from our table to the loo. I have no idea what the club scene or bar scene looks like since I am usually asleep by 10:00 PM.

      • Cheerful Londoner says:

Seraphina, as of couple of days ago, our government has imposed what they called, ‘the rule of six’, meaning that no more than six people can congregate either indoors or outdoors anywhere. In addition, you have to wear face covering – it doesn’t have to be a mask so long what you’re wearing covers your nose and mouth – when you’re in public places, such as supermarkets, pubs, clubs, train stations etc, unless you’re eating or are exempt for medical reasons. If you’re in an establishment that serves food, then you have to wear a face covering whilst you’re inside, unless you’re seated or are eating food, but if you’re standing or moving about, then you have to cover up.

Unfortunately, our govt seems to keep making up rules as they go along. For example, from tomorrow onwards, pubs, clubs, restaurants, must closet by 10pm – no specific reason given why 10, the same way no reason given for the limitation of six people – however, from 10pm onwards, you can go back to your or your friends place to continue drinking; provided of course, that there are no more than six people congregating. This can only lead out of control house parties. Mark my words.

    • If pubs and bars are going to be closed for public safety in 24 hours what makes you think they are a safe place to be now? Use some common sense!!!

    • Argus says:

Yeah I don’t get the outrage. They haven’t done anything unlawful. Even us peasants in the UK go out to our local pub occasionally when it becomes too much to be cooped up indoors all the time.

    • minx says:

      I don’t get the 10 o’clock closing time…you can get covid before 10.

      • Becks1 says:

I think its to discourage late night drunk crowds? So closing at 10 is probably to get the dinner crowds and then cut it off. But agreed, its not like covid understands curfews.

    • Sarah says:

I agree – its fine. Annabel’s has been redone, its more of a townhouse members club now with restaurants on certain floors. I imagine the dance floor is closed but the restaurant is open for dinner. In that way its actually safer than them going to the pub – much easier to stay socially distanced at a members club.

  10. lucy2 says:

Awful. Times like these require sacrifices, and these are relatively small – wear a mask, don’t gather in big groups, social distance. FFS it’s not that hard.

    • ME says:

From what I see on social media, it seems to be hard for many dumbasses. I don’t understand how a social life is more important than your health and the health of others. This is why the virus isn’t going anywhere. People refuse to act RESPONSIBLY.

  11. Sofia says:

Yeah no they should have just stayed at home and definitely NOT call the paps. And if they didn’t call them then I’m sure there were back entrances they could have used.

    • Sid says:

Yes. I was just thinking that any exclusive club would have a side or back entrance for those who do not want to be seen. This is a bad look.

  12. Smices says:

There was an article a few days ago saying Eugenie was pregnant. I’m now assuming that story was wrong/made up. Doubt she’d be out pandemic clubbing if it were true.

  13. Sarah says:

Just because you can (go out in groups of less than six) doesn’t mean you should. This looks terrible. Remember ‘stay home save lives’? The catchphrase might have changed but the pandemic has not gone away and we’re seeing a real surge in cases. How badly do you need to go out???

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Can’t be seen in your new £1000 dress at home! Can’t flout an “I am better than you!” attitude at home, in front of your TV. Can’t remind ANYONE you actually EXIST and deserve to get those £££££s when at home! Because remember, when they DO go out for Petty, they get it subsidized, and I’m sure Pedo Papa pads the bills that go back to Petty Betty.

And c’mon, let’s be really honest here… does ANYONE think there was a body count at the door of the “private club”?? Do you think ANYONE INSIDE was wearing a mask? That they were tested THAT VERY DAY *BEFORE* going out to make sure they weren’t asymptomatic and a potential spreader? If you do, I have a GREAT oceanfront property in Colorado to sell you!

  14. They likely got paid to be there. Which is fine, but not very royal for using their titles to make money. I am sure they earned their high salary jobs and would have them without the princess draw though… Lol!

  15. Lucylee says:

The old lady supposedly said you have to be seen to be believed.

  16. chicken tetrazzini! says:

maybe something is coming down the pipeline for Daddy and the girls are creating a “scandal” to distract from that

  17. Coco says:

Clearly they didn’t mean to go to a nightclub. Their driver got lost on the way to Pizza Express.

    • SomeChick says:

      HAHAHAHAHAHA! Comment of the Day!

    • Scorpion says:

Not just any Pizza Express darling, the one in Woking 😂

      • antipodean says:

Unfortunately, or not, The Pizza Express in Woking is in one of the dirtiest, scuzziest, areas in Woking. I went there many times when my daughter was small to other kids’ birthday parties. It really is not a place to skite about! It always made me howl that PA thought that would be a good alibi…in short, it is not! That having been said, the parties were always fun for the kids, and they loved it all, no mess, no fuss for Mum!

    • Liz says:

Bahahahaha @coco! There’s a funny, throw-away line in the last season of that satire sitcom about the BRF (I want to say The Windsors, but I’m second-guessing myself for some reason) about how they once went to the “Pizza Express in Woking with Dadd-ay” and it killed me 😂 That show has gotten to where it absolutely pulls no punches and I’m here for it.

  18. Harper says:

Does a pack of paparazzi gather outside Annabel”s every night? If not, then these two must be in heaven to have garnered this much attention. Eugenie has been looking preggers in some of her latest pap photos… she was photographed doing some shopping recently and her shape has definitely changed.

  19. Rea says:

    Is Eugenie pregnant?

    • TeamAwesome says:

So, there was an Australian outlet, I assume tabloid, that ran a recent story as such, but I think this is just the typical womb watch. In some pics from her shopping trip the other day, you could make that case, but in others you just as easily wouldn’t think that.

    • original penguin says:

Lets not judge women’s bodies and watch every single pound gained. I hate it when people do it to Meghan, and the same applies to all women in the public setting. There’s plenty of things to gossip about without resorting to that…. it’s far more interesting to talk about Daddy’s wrongdoings or partying in a pandemic or being paid for appearances.

  20. lunchcoma says:

Wow. Two big thumbs down for this. This sets a horrible example. If they want to socialize, they have all sorts of resources to do it at home in a way that couldn’t be used as an excuse by others. These are grown women in their 30s, not impulsive children.

  21. Jewell says:

They look very shocked an wide eyed. Were they not expecting paparazzi? And wow why do they let those photogs get so close.

    • jensays says:

I was going to say something similar. Bea has VERY intense eyes and wearing a mask really highlights that. wowza.

  22. Shannon Bullock says:

What is a “private” nightclub? Are large gatherings not banned in the UK?

    • Humbugged says:

Mostly private restaurants with drinking like Soho House . Someone else up thread was asking if people stake these places out and the answer in probably yesas these places are all within Mayfair and on public roads
