Humans are all flawed in their thinking, which has very little to do with religion and more to do with our limited views (each of us views ourselves as our own universe, which leads us to judge others harshly). We're all afraid of things that we don't understand. If some of you would quit your tirade for a few minutes and do some research, you'd understand why so many people (religious and otherwise) are pressing for traditional marriage to be the only recognized marital union in our country. The political and judicial replications are astounding, and it would mean that many relgions couldn't practice their beliefs. It IS persecution. It’s no longer “liberal” to be a liberal.
