Audrina Patridge on Heidi Montag’s music career: ‘dissapointing’

Audrina Patridge is finishing off her run on “The Hills” this season. She’s going to be filming the last few episodes of her MTV faux-reality show and calling it quits to predictably star in her own spin off reality show. Along with Audrina’s pending departure comes some candid words. The 24 year-old brunette told People Magazine that she finds her co-star Heidi Montag’s attempts at a music career “dissapointing,” and that people with real talent work for years to achieve the kind of opportunities that are being handed to Heidi, which Audrina says Heidi doesn’t seem to take seriously:

“I feel like Heidi, you know, she’s doing it for fun, where a lot of singers and people, they work their ass off, and they actually have amazing voices and they can really sing and perform, and I feel like a lot of people don’t get to experience what Heidi has, going on in front of a billion people and perform on TV,” Patridge told PEOPLE while promoting her new movie Sorority Row over the weekend. “I just don’t think she’s taking it that serious, and that’s what’s kind of disappointing for me, for music lovers out there.”

But the 24-year-old beauty – who says Montag’s Miss Universe performance was “very Britney Spears-like” – has plenty of positive opinions about her own foray away from reality TV and into acting for the silver screen.

“On the movie, I went to my acting coach twice a week and I memorized all the lines,” she says of appearing with Rumer Willis in the slasher flick Sorority Row. “On The Hills, you show up for an hour and say what you want then leave.”

Of course, embracing the Hollywood life also means having to deal with some fairly outlandish rumors about herself.

“[They say] that I was pregnant. Another one, that I got a nose job, that I got a chin job, cheek implants, I mean my whole face,” she says of false reports about herself. “You know sometimes, when they stick a video camera in your face and they try to provoke you with questions that are just really … sometimes I get like, ‘What are you talking about?’ But I’m very lighthearted and I just try not to take things too serious.”

And it helps that Patridge is dating mellow Australian BMX rider Corey Bohan.

“It’s so refreshing to be around him because he’s so just laid-back and stress-free all the time,” she says.

This isn’t the first time Audrina has said something deservedly negative about Heidi’s foray into music. She told Hollyscoop in February, 2008 that she was surprised that Heidi had put out her first music video at the time, “Higher,” because Heidi had no interest in singing as far as she could tell. “I never thought she would ever be a singer since I’ve known her… she’s never really talked about music or anything… and all of a sudden she’s putting out this cd and this video.”

We usually try to avoid reporting on Heidi and Spencer, but we occasionally lift that ban to mock them. Heidi’s awful performance at the Miss Universe pageant was one of those times. She couldn’t even dance and lip sync at the same time and for someone so fit she had surprisingly little rhythm. Rumor had it that pageant owner Donald Trump knew that Montag would royally suck, and that he booked her for the publicity, not her entertainment value. Patridge realizes that she’ll get more coverage if she trashes her co-star, but she was very understated about Heidi’s music career, especially considering how God-awful she really is.

I have no idea who any of these blow up dolls are. hehe

  2. Mary Jones says:

Heidi does suck. But Audrina can’t act and is dumber than a rock, so she really shouldn’t be commenting. Neither one of them have anything to contribute and they should both go away.

  3. Melanie says:

That’s probably the first time I’ve ever heard of Audrina say anything in the slightest bit interesting.

  4. Melanie says:

    Which isn’t saying anything.

Anwho, I’m sure Audrina’s acting career will be just as disappointing.

  5. Beth says:

Wow, Audrina actually sounded a little smart in that interview. But she shouldn’t be throwing stones because she’s in the same boat concerning her acting career. She’s getting acting opportunities handed to her whereas there thousands of more talented people who are still waiting for a small break.

  6. Sassy says:

And this is the kettle calling the pot black. They are both known for being on a SCRIPTED reality show. All of them need to get a life, not a re-hearsed one.

  7. wow says:

Ceiling Eyes shouldn’t even talk. I agree with the whole “pot meet kettle” advice. They All owe whatever noteriety they have to Lauren Conrad.

  8. Hieronymus Grex says:

How can you be disappointed by something that never happened? It’s impossible.

  9. piedlourde says:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: What the hell is wrong with Audrina’s eyes? They scare me.

  10. Persistent Cat says:

Really, she sounds smart? “I memorized all the lines.” Can’t say I’ve heard Julia Roberts or Denzel brag about that feat.

  11. Michelle says:

None of the Hills skanks have a shred of discernable talent. Audrina is only slightly less annoyingly offensive than Heidi and that thing she’s dating/married to. (Seriously, what is he, 12? He looks like a creepy ass Cabbage Patch doll.)

Anyway. Point being that none of them deserve the fame and crap they have now when none of them have any talent whatsoever.

  12. gaby says:

Sorry Audrina, Heidi hasn’t been able to work on projects as highly and critically esteemed as “Sorrority Row”

  13. nanster says:

The words “music” and “career” should never be used in the same sentence when Heidi Montag is being discussed. I am sincerely hoping that she’s nearing the end of her shelf life.

  14. Firestarter says:

Who? What? Do either of them HAVE careers?

  15. Emily says:

Does anyone else see a resemblence between Audrina and Rachael Zoe in the top pic? Wonder how many acting gigs she’ll get when she ages the way
Zoe has (or, you know, after her 15 is up).
