An easy adult coloring book, an essential oil diffuser and an outlet shelf

Amazon_MagnesiumSpray
I got the magnesium oil spray and I can’t believe how calm it made me feel. I started using it Friday. On Saturday, before I meditated, I thought “wow I feel so chill today, what is happening?” and realized it was the magnesium spray! I know this is anecdotal, but it was amazing. It did make me itchy when I applied a lot of it, which the instructions say can happen as it has natural salts. The itchiness wasn’t bad though. I recommend only using it before bed as it makes you very calm. I noticed I wanted to sleep right after I applied it in the afternoon and then didn’t want to go to bed until later that night. It also seemed to help my sore neck and back. I’m going to switch to using it every few days when I need to treat muscle soreness or am anxious. Here are some more things I’m looking at or already own.

Six long-lasting matte lipsticks for under $10
Amazon_DarkMatteLipsticks
I keep buying individual lipsticks, I really like the Maybelline Matte Ink lipstick and the Matte Ink crayons are great too, but they’re around $7 each (there’s a coupon now so the price is decent). For $10 you can get a set of six matte lipsticks in sets of darker red and mauve tones or more neutral pinks and nudes. These have 4.2 stars, 557 ratings and an A on Fakespot. Women say these lipsticks work great and do last a long time. They write “I put 2 different colors on and I still felt like nothing was on my lips,” “The colors are absolutely stunning. The matte finish is super flattering, it dries fairly quickly and it does last a long time on lips.” and “Long lasting formula, smudge proof. Formula smells like bubble gum, easy application.” Some recommend that you use lip balm first to make sure your lips aren’t too dry.

Shampoo for your makeup brushes because you know you need to do that
Amazon_MakeupBrushShampoo
I have cleaned my makeup brushes about one or two times and didn’t get great results with regular soap so I gave up. This makeup brush shampoo by ecotools is paraben, phthalate, and petroleum-free and specially formulated to remove oils and pigment from your makeup brushes. It’s under $6 for 6 ounces, which should last a long time. It’s the number one best seller in makeup brush cleansers and has almost 17,000 ratings, 4.7 stars and an A on Fakespot. Reviewers say it works better than anything else they’ve tried, that it leaves their makeup brushes looking like new and that it doesn’t damage or fray them at all. It even gets all the makeup off foundation brushes. The write “I was able to clean my brushes much faster than normal, and I feel more confident that I got all the makeup off the bristles,” “This takes the cake for the best brush cleanser I’ve ever used. I didn’t have to do any scrubbing or anything, each brush took about 1 second each and suddenly my hundreds of brushes were clean in the blink of an eye!”

A vitamin C serum for clearer, smoother skin
Amazon_VitaminCSerum
This vitamin C revitalizing concentrate by Noche Y Dia also has bitter orange, lemon, and kiwi seed oil to smooth and brighten skin. It’s $10 off and is currently $19.99 for an ounce. This has 4.4 stars, over 3,700 ratings and a B on Fakespot. Women share before and after photos showing that it seems to reduce fine lines and tighten skin. They write that it works for both older skin and acne and seems to reduce sun damage. “I have seen a marked improvement in my skin’s appearance with less wrinkles and smoother complexion.” “This has greatly diminished sun spots and I love how my skin feels after only 4 weeks of use.” and “My skin is acne prone and I was super broken out when I started using it. I have been using it twice a day for almost a month and it’s cleared my skin up.”

An easy adult coloring book with salty motivating quotes
Amazon_MakeLifeColoringBook
If you’re into adult coloring books this may be too easy for you, but I have never done one before and this looks like a great starter book with some much-needed advice. I don’t want to work on anything too intricate. This adult coloring book is a bargain at only $5. It has over 2,800 ratings, 4.5 stars and the same score on ReviewMeta. It has a kind of 70s vibe and includes bold sayings like “Trust no man, fear no bitch,” “Inhale the good sh-t, exhale the bullsh-t,” and “Life is kicking ass not kissing it.” Amateur artists like that there are only designs on one side of the pages so the color won’t bleed through and that there are blackout background pages. Reviewers write “It’s fun, witty, and a great way to relieve stress. Unlike other adult coloring books, the designs are EASY” and “Sit down with it and the stress melts away as I am laughing [and] can not help it.”

An essential oil diffuser that changes color and doubles as a nightlight
Amazon_EssentialOilDiffuser
We’ve been asked to find one of these essential oil diffusers but it slipped my mind as I only use essential oils a little bit for my homemade cleaner. (1 part white vinegar, 1 part water, drop of mint essential oil.) This is a essential oil diffuser with an adjustable light that changes color and a timer so you can set it and forget it. It comes in 2 different wood finishes to match your decor and has over 4,800 ratings and 4.5 stars on ReviewMeta. People say it’s a great decorative piece and that visitors (when we had those) ask about it. They write “Amazing product. I use it every day. My baby is sick and it helped his congestion clear up, besides making the house smell amazing.” It’s said to “work flawlessly” and be “sleek, classy looking and long lasting.”

A shelf that sits right on top of your outlet to hold your devices & hide cords
Amazon_WallE
I have an Echo dot and an electric toothbrush taking up space on my bathroom counter along with so many other things (although I got this lovely bamboo organizer and it works great). An outlet shelf would be perfect for that. This outlet shelf by Walli has almost 900 ratings, 4.5 stars and the same score on ReviewMeta. I’ve already ordered it and it’s coming tomorrow! It comes in black or white and you can get one for $7.99 or two for $13.99. There’s a little compartment inside where you can hide cords and a lot of people use it as a charging station. It’s said to be easy to install and to work really well. Reviewers write “This stand was extremely easy to install and I love that the long echo cord is hidden,” “It super easy to assemble and it has saved me spending money on a side table.”

A cozy long cardigan that comes in so many colors
Amazon_CozyCardigan
It’s that time of year when you want to wear a long cardigan around the house over leggings. (No hard pants.) This Amazon brand cardigan comes in 8 colors and in sizes x-small to xx-large. It’s $42.50, which is a little pricey but not bad for a versatile piece like this. It has 244 ratings, 4.5 stars and the same score on ReviewMeta. Women write that it’s comfortable, warm and well-made. “I wore this every day (besides laundry days) for A WHILE after I got it! It goes with everything and is good quality.” “So imagine sitting in an oversized chair with a stack of romance novels, box of chocolates, pot of tea, and purring cat. That is what wearing this sweater feels like.” Several people got it in different colors. It’s said to run a little large and some reviewers recommend sizing down. BRB I’m breaking out a cardigan to wear today.

Magnesium is amazing – I use straight up supplement pills now but I used to like magnesium oil before bed (I found that the supplement pills are more effective for me). When I’m really anxious and not sleeping well I pour a cup of magnesium flakes in a hot hot bath and it helps so much.

I’ve been using magnesium supplements for close to a year now to help my hair (my hairdresser said he noticed I’d been losing more than usual, though thankfully I still had a lot of it on my head.) After about 4-5 months I saw a definite difference – not that I had more hair but rather that it was stronger. Heck, my eyelashes even grew a tiny bit!

That said, I’ve never heard of magnesium spray and now I want to try it…I get frequent headaches thanks to glasses + computers and it seems like it really could help.

      • Celebitchy says:

I like it and think it made me super calm however I am going to try to only use it every few days as I am worried it will build up in my system, etc. You need to be careful with it I think, especially if you are already taking magnesium.

      • Mabs A'Mabbin says:

I’m liking the spray so much, I might order some supplements too lol.

  2. LaUnicaAngelina says:

I can vouch for the brush soap. It’s great!

How did I miss the magnesium spray?! I definitely want to try it.

    • Lady2Lazy says:

@ LaUnicaAngelinam, yes! That brush soap is incredible!! As for that diffuser, I have had mine for close to 2 years and I love mine!! The water chamber is generous and it will run for hours!! That is a definite GREAT buy!!!

  3. Good Morning says:

If you don’t like the itching, spray the magnesium spray on the bottoms of your feet and put socks on. I know it sounds strange but it works.

    Thank you!!

  5. Giddy says:

I love my outlet shelf. I have it in my bathroom and use it as a charging station, and watch news on it in the morning while I do my makeup.

I’m going to buy the mag spray! Sounds great and is so useful at this point in the lockdown.

If anyone is looking for a vit c serum I suggest you look at Timeless Vit C +E +Ferulic Acid. This is a very popular vitamin C that uses L-Ascorbic Acid. This is the most effective form of vitamin C. This serum is 20% Vit C so it may be too strong for some, but I started using it with no issues.

It is not the only form of vit C, but it is supported by a ton of studies to be highly effective.

I also use their Coenzyme Q10 Serum which is an antioxidant and also has a peptide in there.

Great skincare and their stuff is made in Cali!

I adore these posts, Celebitchy, and have made quite of few purchases. Thank you, girl!

@ Jessica, my daughter uses The Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum and she has seen some wonderful results, plus it’s organic. The Mad Hippie has excellent reviews on the Vitamin C and a majority of their serums are sublime!! She has very sensitive skin so she has to careful. But her skin does tolerate Drunk Elephant well.

      • Jessica says:

I use their Vit A serum on my neck and chest since those areas don’t tolerate tretinoin very well for me. It’s great!

Right now I’m trying out the C’s the Day Vit C serum by Good (Skin) Days from Sokoglam. I was looking for a something different from the usual formulation. I’m really liking it, but will keep the Mad Hippie in mind too. Great brand!

  7. LBB says:

Ugh, I love that sweater but most of the sizes are sold out!

  8. Amy Too says:

I bought that sweater two weeks ago. I’m in between a medium and large on clothes so I bought the large for the sweater and it’s quite big on me. Like I wear it as a coat over other sweaters. So I would suggest if you’re between sizes to pick the smaller size if you want it to be more like a cardigan and less like an oversized sweater/coat. I’m 5’3” so it’s nice and long on me, nearly knee length. It’s also quite thick and soft and heavy and comforting. I wear it around the house like a robe sometimes. It came with a little note saying that it could pill if you washed it too much. I washed it when I got it because it smelled like a weird Amazon factory and it held up well.

    • Jessica says:

I ordered it on Prime Wardrobe and returned. I ordered a large since I’m 5’10, 180. It looked too bulky on me so I sent it back. I also ordered this one and really love it:

      https://amzn.to/34fG3O9

I got a large. it also run’s big, but I wear it over my uniform at work so need the extra room. Otherwise I would get the M.

This thing I LOVE as is and wear constantly:
