I agree. Someone mentioned male nudity is never “pivotal” to the plot of a film, but female nudity can be and has been considered “important.” When I was a kid growing up in the 80s, I saw rated R films. My dad would make copies of them, and he’d play them after work. I saw womens vaginas or breasts… but never mens penises. That’s Unfair. : ) I also agree w/ a couple commenters of how she’ll never be taken seriously because she has famous parents. That is ashame. I know there will still be people to think negatively about her acting, but it would help a little to get a college degree in art/acting or what have you. Just an opinion. : ) I also think if she had a long hair style w/ sweeping bangs… that might be better for her face shape. That’s what I read in various hair styling articles.
One other thing, she is from generation Y. From what I’ve gathered, saying the word “WOW” these days means “That’s crazy.” (pretty much.) Maybe if it was 20 years ago, saying “wow” after seeing someone nude would have ment “God, that person is sexy,” but not these days. I think this writer is reaching or 40 something.
Plus, as a couple of commenters have “said,” sometimes it can be important for the film to have nudity (Titanic.) Just my two cents.

@shut her up: I’ve always wondered this myself!! Female nudity is always considered integral to the plot, but never male nudity! Good question!

I understand the significance of the nude scene in titanic as some have pointed out. But Kate Winslet actually having to be nude for that scene was in no way pivotal to the plot. The same scene could have taken place with implied nudity. I do think it’s better with the actually nudity but the plot would progress with or without it being seen.

In “The Break Up” the scene with Jen Annisten coming out naked in front of Vicne, it was a point for her to be naked to get his attention and shock him, and she seemed pretty naked but you still did not see any shots of her breast or other area.
I think movies can show nudity without having to actually show graaphic bady parts.
But guys want to see parts, boobs ect.. in movies.
