Angelina Jolie steps out with 16-year-old daughter Zahara for a Target run

For much of the past year, Angelina Jolie has been in lockdown in LA. Jolie is famously infected with wanderlust, so I imagine it’s been difficult for her to stay in one place for months on end, without even being able to visit refugee camps. She’s been home-schooling her younger kids, doing Zoom calls with Time Magazine and writing. As it turns out, she’s also been shopping with some regularity. Perhaps supporting the local economy in LA. These photos are of Angelina and Zahara, who just turned 16 years old on January 8th. I can’t believe it! I remember when all of Angelina’s kids were babies and now she’s got one kid in college (Maddox) and Zahara is 16! And Pax is 17! Crazy.

Anyway, Angelina loves to take her kids shopping and it’s not like they’re regulars on Rodeo Drive or anything. She’s always taken the kids shopping at art supply stores and regular shops. She and Zahara were seen exiting a Target, for goodness sake. Also: I’ve always thought that Zahara was more fashionable than her mom, but it looks like Angelina has been doing some online shopping or something. Her outfit is pretty chic, while Zahara is just in regular old athleisure.

I also missed these photos of Angelina out shopping at an Ethiopian boutique in LA on the 8th. Many believe that she was picking up some stuff for Zahara for her birthday. Zahara was on that shopping excursion too, as was… Shiloh? Is that Shiloh or is that Vivienne? When they’re wearing masks, I can’t tell. I think it’s Shiloh, maybe.

yes, that’s Shiloh. Taller than Zahara now.

    • K-Peace says:

That just doesn’t look like Shiloh to me and doesn’t look like her type of hairstyle or clothing. (But i could be wrong of course.) Could Vivienne have had a big growth spurt? My daughter is only 11 (a year younger than Vivienne) and she is 5’5”. I reached my full height (5’8”) at 12. So it’s possible that it’s Vivienne.

      • Lotoya says:

That is Shiloh I wonder why people find it difficult to believe children outgrown certain stage of their lives now she’s acting all girlie and people are doubting she’s the one

      • Sierra says:

That’s Shiloh 100% – the body shape and eyes are her.

      • A says:

Well it definitely seems like it’s her style now as Shiloh looked like this in all the photos for a while now. People usually don’t keep the style hey have as children through their entire life

      • Jess says:

Lotoya, I thought it was Vivienne at first too, definitely more feminine than Shiloh has looked in years, so I think it’s ok that some of us were second guessing it. Of course she’s free to dress however she likes and have her hair any style, it’s just different that’s all:) I love that Angelina and Brad have always let their children express themselves like that!

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

That looks like Viv 100%. I don’t see Shiloh at all. Other outlets have ID her as Shiloh though so idk…
I just don’t see the same shape in the face.

    • Nestaw says:

I taught it was Vivienne at first sight.

  2. Lotoya says:

Yep that’s Shiloh she’s growing into her own. The kids look happy and well adjusted and Angie seems to be at peace her self

    • Joan Rivers says:

In the top photo I thought she looked like, “Help, I’m being abducted by this white lady!”

  3. Lily P says:

I really appreciate seeing a celebrity that has seemingly followed all COVID guidance and been responsible from the get go. Limited travel, social distancing, and consistently wearing a mask. Makes a nice change from those gallivanting to the Caribbean or Dubai

    • whatWHAT? says:

      totally this.

PS I think it’s so sweet that Z will still hold her mother’s hand.

      • Mignionette says:

I think Z still does not like the camera’s. She has almost been the most camera shy even as a child. I think this is also why her eldest son left the country for college.

I think Angelina is sensitive of that and will likely seek a career behind the camera as time passes.

    • Monika says:

You are right!! Angelina is a good person and good mom!! No wonder her kids love her!! Angelina don’t deserve all the attacks she always gets, especially the ones that come from her coward ex!! 😒 it’s really nice seeing new pics of Angie!!

  4. Sierra says:

Angelina looks amazing and wow, the children are all grown up.

Can already see Shiloh turning into a real beauty. Zahara beautiful as well and a born model.

  5. Esmeralda says:

It’s comforting to see that even La Jolie can’t do much with straight brown hair in lockdown – I’ve been despairing of my boring hair lately, but her down to earth approach makes me feel a little better about myself.
The kids are soooo grown up – and they look so good in a relaxed, simple way. Lovely.

  6. Esmom says:

I like seeing AJ wearing pants and boots. The fancy white dress is so far removed from pandemic reality that it feels surreal. To me at least, who was gazing at my closet last week realizing I haven’t worn 95% of the stuff in it for nearly a year.

    • BeanieBean says:

I love how chic Angelina is, no matter how mundane her activity. Super expensive clothing & accessories, but not ‘fashion-ey’, just chic, classic, and oh-so-perfect. She’s going to be my style guru for the year (but with a different budget!).

    • Anne Call says:

It was close to 90 degrees this weekend (starting around Thursday) in SoCal so that coat picture confuses me.

  7. Jilly. says:

It’s Shiloh. There other pictures and you can tell. She’s going to be so tall! I love that they shop at target. Honestly what kid doesn’t love it? (Especially teens)

  8. Zut alors says:

I’ve always liked that her kids are not kitted out in designer wear head to toe. They seem comfortable with who they are.

    • Myra says:

That’s true. They seem fairly down to earth. Even for their ages, you don’t really see them on social media, at least I don’t think so.

  9. Gruey says:

Random aside I HATE when my jeans bunch up at the bottom over boots like that. It takes a lot of heming/boot circumference calculation to fix. I guess Angelina isn’t immune!

    • Ang says:

Me too! Unruly clothing is one of my biggest pet peeves. The ankle situation in winter being one of the conundrums I stress over lol

  10. Mina_Esq says:

I love when we see photos of Angelina out and about, looking like a normal person. She is obviously a stunning woman, but these photos show that she also has flat hair and dull complexion days like the rest of us 🙂 And I think that’s V.

  11. Jayna says:

That’s not Shiloh. IMO that’s Vivienne. Back in July she had a growth spurt, and now over six months later probably even more of one.

Here she is back in July with mom.

    • Jojo says:

That’s Shiloh.I saw some pics a couple of weeks ago of Shiloh with this same hairstyle.Vivienne is shorter and her hair is longer. If you go to Jolie Pitt fan pages you can see pics of Vivienne taken this month.

  12. Joanna says:

I love Target. Went shopping there on Saturday and it made me so happy. Idk why 🙃

  13. M Narang says:

This is a big improvement. I love Angelina in casual clothes. When she’s taking the kids shopping and wearing designer stuff, it feels too “Grey Gardens & eccentric” to me. Clearly she doesn’t care that much about clothes in general but I would love to see her in a pair of blue jeans. Come on Angie. You can do it. Just borrow a pair from one of your girls.

For the record, I do think that’s Shiloh.

    • Zut alors says:

I’ve noticed that every time she’s papped in designer wear in casual situations, she also is debuting a new designer handbag. Makes me wonder why if she’s got some kind of contract with with whichever designer has that V logo on their bags.

      • Kebbie says:

The V is Valentino. I think they’d announce a deal with her if they had one.

Also she’s carrying a Christian Dior bag and wearing Fendi slides at the Ethiopian shop, so I doubt she’s got a deal with Valentino.

    • BeanieBean says:

I have no doubt that every item of clothing she’s wearing is designer & expensive. That black top, jeans, boots, & bag outfit at Target? Certainly not purchased at Target! Really expensive stuff is stealthy like that. Ditto the all-white outfit. That dress is just as designer as the Fendi slides & the Christian Dior bag, we’re just not able to identify it due to lack of logos. And she looks fab! I’m heading to Target at the end of the month & hope to look 1/4 as chic as Angelina.

  14. aggie says:

I wonder if Angelina is cutting her own hair.

  15. Jessica says:

This is Vivienne. It may seem shocking but this is the age for girls to have this kind of a growth spurt. My daughter is a year younger, also a twin, and all of a sudden has shot up, leaving her twin brother 4 inches in the dust. It’s crazy.

I take my daughter to Target or the grocery store occasionally. She has been in virtual school since last March so it’s one of the few ways to get her out a bit. She is great about wearing a mask and washing her hands/using sanitizer. I’m nervous about the new strain mucking things up even worse than they are now, but right now we are shopping cautiously.

  16. Kebbie says:

There are photos from September of them in Target with both Vivienne and Shiloh for people who want comparisons as to how they look in masks. Shiloh’s hair is the same as it is in these photos (if these are of her, I think they are.)

Four months ago Zahara and Vivienne were around the same height. I’m 5’1 so I know nothing about growth spurts, can you grow four inches in as many months? They look about four inches apart to me at the Ethiopian shop.

    • Jojo says:

Yes my little cousin (13 y.o. boy) grew 5 inches over the summer break a couple of years ago.He was 5’6″ and he jumped to almost 6 feet tall in 2-3 months.

    • BeanieBean says:

Yes, you can grow that fast. My brother did the same thing, over the summer break from 4th to 5th grade, shot up 5″, 5’6″ to 5’11”. It was painful & tiring for him. That was pretty much the end of his growing, he topped out at 5’11 1/2″.
That said, I agree with everyone else–that’s Shiloh in these photos. Her style is changing, that’s all.

  17. Maria says:

    She is Shiloh. Period.
By the way, I want to remark one very significant phrase, at least to me: “all of Angelina’s kids”, because this is exactly what they are.
Mother and daughter look so lovely holding hands.

  18. Lively says:

Beautiful woman, her kids appear to be raised.
I’m sick of seeing all these celebs kids that are now models. With all they privilege life you would think they would go to college and contribute to society, but no they all modelling ugh

  19. Peaches says:

I don’t care which kid it is. I just love seeing them bc it’s so rare.
    They’re all awesome.

  20. Samanthalous says:

Angie dedication to monochrome is amazing

  21. coolspray says:

So nice to see that Zahara will still hold Angie’s hand at 16! Wow!
My kids are 8 and 11 and stopped a long time ago. I miss that little hand in mine.

  22. Tilewa says:

Grateful that my 25 year old son will hold my hand sometimes when we go for a walk!

    • Mumzy says:

That is so wonderful to hear! My son, an 18 year old college freshman, also loves to hold my hand, anytime and anywhere. He has always been super affectionate and I love it. He went to boarding high school and is now away in college so I cherish every touch I get!

  23. Tilewa says:

Grateful that my 25 year old son will hold my hand sometimes when we go for a walk!

  24. Char76 says:

Still no Brad Pitt seen with any of the six kids. Yet we see him plenty with his friends partying and holidaying. Left all the heavy lifting of looking after six kids to Angelina Jolie. At least those kids have one parent whose unconditionally dedicated to them . Unlike Brad Pitt whose acted like he never had six children. Also shame on him not wishing Zahara a sweet sixteenth birthday wish

Why buy clothes that are produced by sweatshop labour when you can afford ethically produced clothing?
