  1. Lightpurple says:

Boebert lied about it but she did it. It is also important to remember that 5 or 6 other GOP House members did so as well, either personally or their staff members did. All such tours had to be approved by Kevin McCarthy or Steve Scalise and verified names and addresses had to be provided.

    • MyOpinion says:

@ Lightpurple, every single one of these members of Congress or the House must be investigated and charged for their participation. This isn’t the first GOP member that has been mentioned in regards to personal tours.

    • Moo says:

Can’t they look at security footage to verify this? She is so boldly lying if she brought people to the capital.

      • paranormalgirl says:

I believe it is on CCTV

      • LightPurple says:

More important than security footage are the log books. As I said above, tours had to be approved by the party leaders, either McCarthy or Scalise had to sign off after members submitted a request with the verified names and addresses of the people on the tour. The approved list was then given to the security at the doors to log people in. If you weren’t on the list, you don’t get in. The FBI knows this.

    • pottymouth pup says:

and they did so despite the fact they were all told that nobody was allowed to give tours – so it makes you wonder why they had to rush doing tours so early in the year

    • liz says:

I doubt that she was the only one or that she was the one leading the tours. She’s been there for two weeks. She still needs someone to point her to the Ladies Room. I’d be shocked if she knew more than one route to get to her office. (My sister used to work in the Senate Curator’s Office. It takes weeks, if not months, to learn your way around the complex.)

But yes, it is clear that she and others had visitors in the building in the days before the insurrection.

  2. josephine says:

I love Mindy’s dress, too, but I wonder what it looks like without her holding it close to her body under the bust line. But the color is fantastic and she looks wonderful in that profile pic.

    • Wiglet Watcher says:

I sort of thought the green looked a bit faded.
If it was richer it would have popped. That light green is fine for the model with very fair skin and hair.

      Her styling is perfection.

  3. Ang says:

Re Prada: why are all the models ugly? I guess now I see why someone like Brooklyn can be a model these days.

    • Pusspants says:

I think the models look ugly due to the styling, especially the hair styles. If you look at their faces and bone structure, they’re all quite striking. Altogether, the clothes are too much. But I can imagine them working mixed in as separates with other clothes. The patterns are beautiful!

    • Teresa says:

At least the models have some intrigue to their faces. Brooklyn still just looks blander than white bread.

    • whatWHAT? says:

man they really are not attractive. some of it, I’m sure, is the hair but yeah…

and Mike Lindell is BAT SH*T CRAZY. and he sounds it.

  4. Jaded says:

Lauren Boebert and her dickwad of a husband are both utter trash, he exposed his weenie to a group of women at a bar (she was one of them), but she married him anyway. They both have had brushes with the police and it doesn’t surprise me a bit that she could do something like this. https://nypost.com/2021/01/16/gop-rep-lauren-boebert-and-husband-have-racked-up-arrests/

    • Ang says:

She needs to be arrested immediately

      • Chrissy (The Original) says:

She needs to be expelled from Congress if this is found to be true.

      • GRUEY says:

Honestly I am going to be very skeptical of this whole process if she isn’t removed and arrested. I know there’s a lot of love for Pelosi here but I have misgivings (based on evidence, unfortunately) about her ability to meet this moment.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

I thought he exposed himself to a 16 year old while she was present?!?! I think he’s her high school ‘sweetheart’ who knocked her up causing her to drop out.

      • trashaddict says:

You know, my goal in life is to make sure 16 y/o girls know about birth control, how to steer clear of jerks like Jason Boebert, and that it takes 2 to get knocked up. Although it’s anyone’s guess what that guy thinks of consensual sex. Not to mention the number of women I know who “got knocked up” and didn’t drop out.

    • Josie Bean says:

My god how did this woman get elected. And her husband plead guilty to being a pervert??? They both sound disgusting.

      • Emm says:

They sound exactly like the sort of people that live in the area around me and I would never in a millions years trust them to walk my dog let alone represent me in Washington. These are the people that the GOP educated, are now electing and got to storm the capital for them. They are all ignorant pawns and it’s working out exactly how they planned. These people are loud and proud of their ignorance though and I can’t get out of here fast enough.

      • liz says:

She’s from the most rural part of Colorado (the western third of the state – it includes Aspen, but many of the property owners there don’t actually live/vote there).

If you have a “D” after your name, you aren’t getting elected to be dog catcher in that part of the state. No way they are sending a Democrat to Congress. The fact that the Democrat came within 10 points was nothing less than a damn miracle (and a testament to just how awful Boebert really is).

  5. Michael L Kelly says:

Armie Hammer; Johnny Depp and Shia Lebeouf should all star in a movie together called Radioactive or how I completely destroyed my career and reputation with stupidity. I know Armi and Depp have already starred together in the terrible Lone Ranger movie.

  6. NorthernGirl_20 says:

Why is this woman still allowed to go to work? She was tweeting Pelosi’s during the siege. She belongs in jail

  7. Pusspants says:

Had never heard of Harry Brant before, but this is sad. He looked so much like Stephanie, but also, oddly, Winona Ryder. He was just so pretty and delicate looking.

  8. JEM says:

Mindy looks so sexy in that picture! I love her and her lockdown fashion. It’s such a nice break!

  9. Busybody says:

I don’t doubt she gave a tour to some of the insurrectionists. I saw a photo of her in a large group of people on the Capitol steps and 3 or 4 of them were flashing white power hand signs. According to the article I read—I don’t remember where—the photo came from her Twitter. She’s racist and doesn’t deserve the office she holds.
ETA: I guess I saw it on Twitter, so not sure how reliable the source is: https://twitter.com/ialhusseini/status/1349401406801903620

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Busybody, I saw that picture, too, and somewhere om twitter it stated that it had been taken in 2019 or 2018. I think will be most interesting is to discover if any of these people were part of her tour (that she didn’t do). I don’t remember where I read this (I’ve been reading many sources to get as factual accounting as I can), but evidently there was no entries to the log for any of the people who took tours at least on the 5th–don’t know about the days before. If that’s true they won’t have names, but the CCTV will have them. I’m waiting for all of the behind the scenes maneuvering to be told. I think we’re going to be truly horrified.

  10. Other Renee says:

Let’s just hope she is NOT arrested prior to Biden taking over. I dread her getting a pardon from trump. (I’m deliberately not capitalizing his name because he’s such a small man.)

    • pottymouth pup says:

I’m pretty sure Trump’s being strongly advised against pardoning anyone for the insurrection as it would look really bad during the Senate hearing and force the issue leading some Republicans voting to convict

    • MaryContrary says:

Apparently there were several members of Congress were angling for pardons this weekend for their roles in the insurrection. But they got turned down-it would open t-rump to further liability. Bwahahahaha.

  11. Lucky Charm says:

Boebert denied the allegations in a text to USA Today reporter Christal Hayes, writing, “I did not give any tours between Jan 3rd and 6th.” In a full press release, Boebert later called Cohen’s allegations “100% false:” “I have never given a tour of the U.S. Capitol to anyone besides family members in town for my swearing in,” Boebert said.

That doesn’t mean her family members “in town for her swearing in” were not also part of the insurrection. Giving a tour to strangers vs giving a tour “to family in town” is just semantics, not a denial, Insurrection Barbie.

    • Marie says:

She was also the one giving a play-by-play on Twitter letting everyone know where Pence and Pelosi were as the riots were happening.

  12. Ange says:

I kind of feel sorry for Chrissy. It never occurred to me to be salty at someone just because they have more money than me, it’s not a reflection on me or a statement about who I am as a person it just is. Let the woman try to get back on track after a devastating loss, damn.

    • Veronica S. says:

Yeah, to be honest, I think people are just aiming their frustration at anyone right now, but liberals really need to learn to refine their aim a little at where they expend their ire. Frankly, people like Chrissy and John aren’t really the enemy of the people. They’re millionaires, yes, and likely well removed from the reality of the world outside their bubble, but they make their money by selling themselves as the product rather than revenue gains made off the backs of millions of severely underpaid employees. They’re openly supporting Democratic candidates, which is frankly better than a lot of their peers. There are frankly way worse people out there at whom you can aim your hatred – like politicians who actually have the power to change things and didn’t.

      • Ange says:

Yeah, if people want to rip the shit out of someone like Bezos have at it but as you said he’s an entirely different beast.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

Chrissy still hasn’t found that balance. Yes, she sells herself as a cultivated image and brand, but she doesn’t have to share everything. She can share without over sharing.

        Veronica S
Think people are blowing off steam. Not true ire.

      • Ann says:

Well, as people pointed out, a lot of people are out of work. The stable owners need to make a living too, and she is helping them do that, and helping them pay employees who might really need the work.

  13. JRenee says:

Several years back, when Harry was a teenager, there was an uproar over photos of him and his mom. I believe it was covered here.
Whatever troubled him, may he be freely at peace.

  14. JRenee says:

Definitely out of her element. Any one with ties to extremists groups should not be allowed to hold office.

  15. Rural Juror says:

Ugh, Lauren Boebert and her trash bag husband make the Palin family look classy
