Jennifer has a small and long waist with ample “hips”, so that -is- pear shaped.

Pear Ass reads like an insult, but it was probably a comic’s way of expressing his admiration of her shape. Also, the tone of voice would be very telling here.

I wouldn’t get THAT upset @ “Pear Ass”. If I’m in bed with someone, obviously it means they were attracted to me in the first place. I think I would know it was an innocuous slip, unless he said it in an asshole-y way.
