How dare Duchess Meghan have an illustration of a military man in her kids’ book!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will making their first joint official visit to Sussex at the University of Chichester Tech Park .Bognor Regis 3 October 2018

One of the illustrations for the Duchess of Sussex’s book, The Bench, is of a red-haired soldier in military gear holding his red-haired son, as mom watches from a window. As you can imagine, Salty White Folk Isle is beyond mad about this. They’re mad because Meghan… set boundaries with her toxic father. They’re mad because Meghan got paid. They’re mad because Meghan didn’t need their permission. And now they’re mad because Prince Harry served in the Army for a decade and his service cannot be taken away from him by the Queen. That’s what this amounts to. How dare Meghan represent military service and fatherhood when the Queen already punished Harry and took away his military titles? It’s a convoluted argument, hatched by an idiot:

Meghan Markle has penned a children’s book inspired by her husband Prince Harry, and their son, Archie. The book, which is due to be published on June 8, details the special bond between father and son, as seen through a mother’s eyes. A royal expert has claimed the Duchess is using the book to take a swipe at one of the terms of the Megxit agreement – something Harry has deeply upset about.

Commenting on this, royal author Philip Dampier said Meghan is clearly using the book to highlight how upset Harry was to lose his military titles. He told Fabulous: “The illustration of a red-haired soldier (obviously you know who) hugging his little boy, looks as though he has come home from war after many years and pulls at the heart-strings. Mum is in tears as she looks through the window, and sees her husband returning from battle to pick up family life once more.

“It’s a scenario familiar to so many military couples separated by conflicts. But of course it wasn’t a reality for Harry, who was in a different relationship when he served in Afghanistan. Rather Meghan is probably showing how much the army meant to Harry and how upset he is to lose his military titles. The Queen decided he could not be half in and half out of the royal family, and therefore he could no longer continue with his honorary associations, including being Captain General of the Royal Marines. For Harry, who put his life on the line and then founded the highly successful Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women, losing the titles was the bitterest part of ‘Megxit.’”

Mr Dampier added that Meghan’s inclusion of the military scene served to remind readers about Harry’s in the armed forces. He said: “The issue was so sensitive that the Queen decided no men at Prince Philip’s funeral would dress in military outfits as Harry could only wear a civilian morning suit. He would have stuck out like a sore thumb as if he was being punished. And Meghan is reminding readers that Harry did fight in the frontline.”

[From The Daily Express]

Again, Harry was not the one demanding to wear a military uniform at his grandfather’s funeral. Prince Andrew the pedophile rapist was the one who wanted to wear his admiral’s gear, and the Queen realized that if she allowed Andrew to wear his military dress uniform, Harry would be the only high-ranking royal man out of uniform at the funeral. And Harry was the only royal man in 38 years to serve in combat. I’ll say now what I said during the funeral/military dress issue: I really hope the royals and their sycophants continue to make this their core issue. All they’re doing is reminding everyone of how poorly the Windsors treated a combat veteran. Harry loved the Army, he loved serving in combat, and he still loves the men and women in uniform. Meghan wanted to represent that in her book. If the Queen has a guilty conscience for being cruel to her combat veteran grandson, that’s on her. And she should feel guilty.

    Sigh…..

    • PEARL GREY says:

Dampier is going to need a chiropractor after this reach. I’m sure the illustrations for this book were made months ago, so how can it be a swipe at the Queen for uniform-gate? These rat rota sycophants are the ones obsessed with stirring drama and manufacturing feuds, not Meghan. They did their interview and have moved on. They are only making the UK look more and more deranged by the day.

    • Xoxo says:

Phil Dampier is that same clown who wrote that Meghan owed the success of her capsule collection to Kate. He inspired the #KateMiddletonSuccessStory hashtag, clearly he wants more of that smoke. Is he trying to get people to mock that family some more?

      • BayTampaBay says:

How in the world did Phil Dampier come up with the theory that the the success of the Smart Works Capsule Collection was due to Kate. I know it is possible to add 1+1 and come up with “11” but it is a major chiropractic stretch to give Kate any credit for the Smart Works Capsule Collection, Does Kate even know what Smart Works is?

    • The Hench says:

Well, it’s a convoluted piece all right but actually what it serves to do is remind people that Harry served, that he “put his life on the line” and that he founded Invictus and then the Queen stripped him of everything. If this article is making anybody look bad it isn’t Meghan or Harry.

  2. Cecilia says:

Harry losing his honorary military titles doesn’t take away the fact that he served and that he is very much a military man. Does the UK even realize how unhinged they actually sound? Because this is just embarrassing

    • Becks1 says:

Right??? the military is a huge part of his life and I think it’s going to be a big part of Archie’s, even if he never serves. Archie is going to grow up with the Invictus Games. He’s going to grow up knowing his father served. They can’t take that away.

      • Cecilia says:

I also feel like that picture of a soldier father coming home and greeting his son will resonate a lot with military families. It’s simply sweet

      • Anners says:

Also…Meghan didn’t illustrate it??? I mean, she probably had some input, but those weren’t her drawings…maybe the artist just wanted to give a little nod towards her and her family and it’s not some giant conspiracy?! I am tired of the press getting all worked up over nothing. Let the poor woman breathe.

    • Merricat says:

Yes, and who do they actually think they’re fooling? Everyone knows about Harry’s military service. The servicemen love him.

    • Midnight@theOasis says:

The real kick would be if Archie grew up and enlisted in the U.S. military. Talk about heads exploding.😂

  3. MerlinsMom1018 says:

    How dare Meghan BREATHE!!!!
suppose the Duchess is throwing just a tiny bit of shade having a red haired soldier in military gear???? You know. Ok sure, take away his honors y’all but my man SERVED and y’all can’t take THAT, no matter what
    Cue Cambridge wailing in 3…2..

    • Carmen-JamRock says:

Yeah and how convenient that those piles of sh*t on plague island continue to ignore Harry’s military titles that he EARNED and STILL OWNS and just focus on the Honorary titles given then taken away by betty as if thats all that matters to H.

      – Prince Harry served in the Army for ten years, rising to the rank of Captain.

      – In June 2015, Prince Harry resigned from the army.

      – On 13th April 2008, Prince Harry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with The Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals).

      – On Wednesday, 12th April 2006, Prince Harry was commissioned as an Army officer.

      – In May 2005, Prince Harry entered The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to begin his training as an Officer Cadet. During the 44-week training course in Camberley, Surrey, Prince Harry was known as Officer Cadet Wales.

      – In September 2004. Prince Harry passed his Regular Commissions Board (RCB), the qualification necessary to train at Sandhurst.

      • MerlinsMom1018 says:

        But…but…but…Meghan!!! 🙄
On a serious note I had NO idea that Harry was in the Army for 10 years. It’s said the service will either make you or break you and in this case it looks like the service ground off the rough spots and between Harry putting in the effort and Meghan smoothing the rest he’s turned/turning out to be who he always was under that whole “spare” bullshit.
What the RF could have been if Harry was the heir.
So yeahhhhh, she can write as much about her red haired soldier as much as she wants and the rest can piss off

    • nutella toast says:

      Incandescent wailing….

  4. TheOriginalMia says:

These hot tales are a hot mess.

  5. Deering24 says:

So, essentially he’s saying that how dare Meghan remind folks that Harry served because the RF wants everyone to forget that? For cryin’ out loud. 🙄🙄🙄🤬

  6. Cessily says:

If my sons father had been military or my sons had lost a fathers in service to their country I would be getting this book for them just because of that. It is one of the reasons I bought it for my great nephews, their father may be deployed for long periods of time but that love is still there and those children sacrifice a lot also.
That just brings me to tears.

  7. (The OG) Jan90067 says:

I’m waiting for Keen to “write” a book about Baldilocks CO-PILOTING a heli. You *know* that’s coming.

    • Haylie says:

Only if it launches the Great Helicopter Children’s Book War between Kate and Fergie.

      • Jaded says:

Ha ha! Yes I remember “Budgie the Helicopter” – the Duchess of Grift would probably come after her for copyright infringement or something.

    • Eleanor says:

They’re definitely going to throw something in our faces. Most likely it’ll be in some form of gratitude towards air ambulance or other but something will definitely be coming up

      • tolly says:

Kate released a Zoom call with a midwife today, along with a press release touting her years (!) of work (!!) advocating for nurses and other front line medical professionals. In the still photos, her script is plainly visible in her lap. Very heartfelt and authentic, and not at all self-serving.

      • Eleanor says:

That was her script? Stupid me thought it might be facts or some research. Oh well

      • EllenOlenska says:

Well, she did salute nurses in 2020 and 2021 so you can go for a stretch and call it years…not sure what she did any other years…Pitiful effort for a grown woman.

    • equality says:

I think the Hold Still book is coming out in a couple of days. She can get all over that.

  8. Amelia says:

It’s actually so funny to see all these “articles” (they’re not really articles because so called commentators throwing in their own opinion is not authentic journalism) come out one by one. Just goes to show the ridiculousness of their opinions.
“How dare she write about fathers because blah blah blah “
“How dare she write about an army veteran because blah blah blah”
“How dare she write because blah blah blah”
“How dare she write about bench furniture because blah blah blah”
Meghan has every right to do so. She’s the wife of an army veteran. Like so many women.

Also cue an article either from Sarah Vile about how Meghan penning a children’s book will affect her personally or/and an article form Woootty how William can’t breathe properly from all the huffing and puffing he’s being doing lately because hE’s sO IncAndEsCent wiTh rAGe you Guys!!!!!!!”
(Also Camilla Tominey will probably pop up at some point as well with “shE stIll made Kate cRy you guys!!!!!”)

    • lanne says:

and that photographer dude will cry “Harry come back” and Moo-cow Levin will say “Meghan used witchcraft to steal Harry away” and Piers Morgan will just…keep breathing and continue his obsession? As far as I can tell, thinking about Meghan is the sole purpose of his existence.

  9. Lauren says:

The BM is exhausting. Really exhausting.

  10. Kiera says:

At this point Meghan could single handily end the pandemic, make peace in the Middle East, end world hunger, end child trafficking, and more and they would still be angry.

    • Eurydice says:

Well, how dare she? All those things could never make up for her many crimes – sinking the Titanic, the Bolshevik revolution, the volcano at Pompeii, the film version of Cats…

      • Kiera says:

Lets not forget the unforgivable sin of likely having partaken in the whale tail trend of the 2000’s. BURN THE WITCH!!

      • Jaded says:

I’ve heard rumours it was she who unleashed covid upon the planet!!

      • nutella toast says:

She put the tracking devices in the vaccines…one by one by hand.

    • booboocita says:

She single-handedly brought back stonewashed jeans and big feathered hair!

  11. Eurydice says:

Shocking News! A woman is proud of her husband and his service to his country.

  12. Amy Bee says:

Unhinged this is only word that comes to mind when I read what these royal commentators have to say. And the even crazier part is they get paid to spew this nonsense.

  13. Tiff says:

Do they have any idea as to unhinged they sound?!? I’m so glad they got out of that toxic place.

    • Deering24 says:

The RR do realize they are continually proving H&M were right, no? 🤣🤣

  14. LittlePenguin says:

When is Kate’s children’s book coming out? Is it something she is keen to do? That she has been working on for years but has been too busy to complete because The Early Years took too much of her time? There is tomorrow’s story!

    • JT says:

Well I did see someone say the early years are Kate’s thing…so maybe when William ends racism. But only in football.

  15. Lizzie says:

How dare she write about early years when keen has been learning and listening about it for almost a decade. I Love she ‘stepped on’ keens area in a bigger and better way than keen’s employees could ever come up with let alone execute.

    • swirlmamad says:

Oh, Keen’s staff could come up with an idea like this for her, I’m sure….but it’s actually getting her to DO it that continuously proves to be the tricky part.

    • keroppi says:

Katie Keen’s children’s book would be essentially mad libs. She just fills in a verb here, an adjective there, and presto she wrote a book!

  16. equality says:

Harry would not have been the only one not in uniform. Peter Philips has no honorary military titles. They actually looked good all dressed the same for the funeral instead of each individual wearing a different faux uniform. There were plenty of uniforms around with those actually now serving.

  17. Lori says:

Imagine, when some Duchess’ take an entire frigging decade to come up with 5 questions and 2 pie charts.

  18. Vanessa says:

Those Royal Reporters are not journalists They are Obsession unhinged Racist who spend their time . Ranting and obsession over everything Meghan and Harry does everything Meghan has done in and out of the royal family she a accused of Plagiarism disrespect the royal family crimes against humanity or she link to Terrorism . The only thing those crazy reporters haven’t accused Meghan of is being witch but I’m sure those reporters will be accusing her of that this coming October. How exactly is Meghan being disrespect towards the Queen Harry Service in the military fought in a war why is it ok for the other royals to talk about there achievements all the time . William and Kate spends decades pretending and being pretentious about being middle class people while living in millions dollar taxpayers property. I can Guarantee you that those royal reporters are upset because everything that Meghan and Harry does is newsworthy and does really well . Those unhinged reporters are stuck reporting on the boring stale royals who don’t bring in the revues and attention that Meghan and Harry does . The royal reporters are no longer the gatekeeper of the royals now especially the one royal couple who actually doing something positive it’s been three weeks since Philip Funeral and all you seen of the Cambridge’s is Kate unhinged laughing their weak pr attempts of the Cambridge’s marriage of the anniversary and William sad desperate attempts at being against racism in football and Kate uncle trashing talking Meghan and Harry .

    • ABritGuest says:

Vanessa they have accused her of bewitching Harry & him being under her spell.

British press are predictably unhinged about this book. Even though it’s not been released yet one writer has already said it lacks fun & will ruin a generation of kids’ reading habits.

  19. Over it says:

Well he did serve. And no amount of bitchy comments from the royal Rota rats will change that. If these people don’t like it, then lump it. She is proud of her husband so why the heck shouldn’t she show it.

  20. Nic919 says:

The obsession these gossipy court stenographers have with a couple they announced were irrelevant is actually quite astonishing. And trying to attack Harry’s service is disgusting. He actually was in a war zone and faced risks that none of the other men of his generation ever did. There was no part time anything. And they can never get over that.

  21. KW says:

These photos of Harry’s big smile in that handsome green beret, omg, it made my morning. I’ve read above how important this book will be to so many military families and I think it’s so beautiful. Well done Meghan! While others spend their energy trying to emulate her, obsess about her and try to knock her down, she keeps rising above and turning everything she touches to gold. Quite inspiring!

  22. A Guest says:

Well, I said in the previous post that the BM was going to have to come up with a new attack since the plagiarism charge fell flat. (For those who don’t know, the other author said she sees nothing the same)

This one is truly audacious and the mental gymnastics required to get there are quite something.

  23. What can I say…… the 🐀Rota and their “Meghan yada, yada, yada BS….” I don’t listen to any of it as the only important part (as in Seinfeld) is Meghan. Everything else out of their mouth about her —- other than their typing her name —- is just yada yada yada! I’ve preordered my copy for my niece for Christmas. I may invest in the audio too. I’m sure Meghan will use the proceeds to continue doing good in the world.

  24. Randie says:

    Excellent comment!!!!!!!
“All they’re doing is reminding everyone of how poorly the Windsors treated a combat veteran….If the Queen has a guilty conscience for being cruel to her combat veteran grandson, that’s on her. And she should feel guilty.”

  25. TeamAwesome says:

I just hope that means the clip of Harry dashing from an interview, throwing off the mic to RUN to his helicopter in Afghanistan starts trending again because mmph, that clip is so smoking hot.

  26. Marigold says:

I just preordered the book. I bet it is great!

  27. Victoria says:

Well, now that the Keenbridges have unveiled their new Youtube channel (lmao!) Bmbe prepared for more Kopying more Keening and more Komplaining.

  28. blunt talker says:

Since the Cambridges are doing YOUtube-watch out for other people making satirical skits relating to their videos. I am glad Harry and Meghan are not on social media and keep the world wondering what are they up to or doing.

  29. Well Wisher says:

The above screed is from a RR, an expert, represents ‘what earning a living as a journalist’. Clearly he had a seat at the table or is an excellent mind reader.
