Post Malone spent $1.6 million on diamond-encrusted veneers for his fangs

I have a weird affection for Post Malone. His music is, dare I say, very good. His persona is different than typical rap/pop stars too. He has a small entourage, but he mostly seems content with being by himself in his big Utah spread, where he drinks a lot and sees UFOs. Still, the dude knows how to party and he seems like he would be a lot of fun. The dude doesn’t know much about dental care though. He just spent $1.6 million to get diamond-encrusted fang veneers.

Congratulations are in order for Post Malone, who just spent $1.6 million on a brand-new smile. The 25-year-old rapper is no stranger to body modification; much of his skin, including his famous face, is covered in tattoos (almost 80 different designs, to be precise). Now, Malone has made over his mouth with help from “The Father of Diamond Dentistry,” Dr. Thomas Connelly.

“Post Malone completed his $1,600,000 smile reconstruction last weekend !!,” the dentist captioned a black-and-white portrait of Malone clenching a cigarette between his new pearly whites. “With a smile that shows off natural Porcelain Veneer work framed with 2 Diamond Fangs with a total weight of 12 Carats, Post Malone literally has $1 million smile!!!”

Dr. Connelly added that the project was a collaboration between himself and cosmetic dentist Naoki Hayashi, a team of gem cutters at Bichachi Diamonds and the bling experts at Angel City Jewelers.

“Post Malone’s epic ICE smile has set a new precedent in the music world of who has the most ‘Drip,’” he wrote.

Dr. Connelly is doing too much. And surely those diamonds are not big enough or high-quality enough to cost upwards of $1 million or $1.5 million. I wonder how much Dr. Connelly “charged” Post Malone for that mess. Besides all that, I just don’t get how anyone can stand to have diamonds in their mouth – wouldn’t you cut up the inside of your mouth? Ew. And what if you’re eating something messy? Imagine trying to clean brownie batter off of your diamond teeth.

I saw a post on a forum that shows the effects of these kind of grills and veneers and it is nausea inducing. I actually like Post and think he’s quite talented. I was especially glad when he dropped the blacknaccent.

  2. JanetDR says:

I really dislike when people do things to their teeth that make it look like they are dirty!

I don’t understand the kids today. I am officially old

    • Dierski says:

I’m old now right there with you, Annaloo. He seems like a nice enough guy, and his music is good, but he’s become the go-to example I give to my son: “please never get a tattoo (or 20) on your face”… I’ll add bedazzled veneers to the list of things I don’t understand.

I do realize it’s “his money, his choice” on how to spend it, but damn, next to MacKenzie’s charitable gifts… this is just disgusting.

    • Porsha says:

I agree with your point, who knows what his future holds, he may end up broke and homeless and have to sell his teeth

    • Annabel says:

Yeah, it’s hard not to judge this kind of thing. “I have an extra $1.6 million lying around. Should I create an endowment to fund the salary of a research scientist in a cancer research lab, or should I maybe create a fund to send disadvantaged kids to college, or should I decorate my teeth?”

Has no one learned from M.C. Hammer ??????

A very sweet and fashion forward gal at my beauty college commissioned a diamond and opal piece of jewelry she wore in a gum/dental piercing between/above her two front teeth. It was very pretty and mirrored her gorgeous eye color. She paid quite a lot for the piece. It caused her tooth problems so she can’t wear it. This is so expensive, and scary! I hope his chompers stay well. I’m too old for all of it.

All I could think was…if they robbed Kim at gunpoint in a busy city, what’s to stop someone from knocking his teeth out when he’s not with a body guard? Seems like a stupid thing to advertise.

this was 100% my thoughts in response to this.

i know he got it removed already but what was that rapper who tried to embed a jewel in his forehead recently –? same vibe

I thought I was alone having a weird affection for Post. He is very endearin. I saw him at jimmy kimmel and also in a ghost museum or something, i thought he is just as weird as me.

    • observer says:

i’ve never listened to a post malone song in my life and i like him. like, he’s clearly fucked up, but i think he knows it and he “tries” even though he’s led astray by the world of fame and celebrity. i have heard he has some deep mental issues/low self esteem (which might play into the subject of this post…he definitely said it was a motivating factor in getting his tattoos) and i believe it. also, unlike a lot of famous guys, i get very few creeper vibes from him in interviews and pics.

  9. KinChicago says:

I agree, stupid. That said, he likely wrote it all off on taxes as a business expense- performer, costume.

  10. Amanda says:

I kind of hate living in a world where people waste this kind of money on pointless crap while so many are struggling with food, shelter and childcare. I’m kind of hoping we as a society stop praising this wasteful consumerism and start asking why we allow people to be homeless while praising this kind of crap.

    • one of the marys says:

I hear you Amanda, obscene is the word that comes to mind.
I don’t pay enough attention to know how his vibe is different from other musicians/rappers except someone above noted he’s not a creep. But at a glance he seems like all the other rich, young and dumb musicians- – ugly, covered in crap, drinking and smoking and wasting his money.

  11. Leeloo says:

    “Am I important yet?”

    • Itteh Bitteh says:

Post doesn’t need diamond teeth to be important to some people. I, too, have a soft spot for him, and his HB album got me through probably the worst year of my life. I guess my question for people calling him dirty and stupid and unimportant is…do you even know anything about him?

  12. Jensies says:

All that money, that could definitely be used wisely elsewhere.

Those presumably good quality stones, in the mouth of a smoker, so you know they’ll get discolored and gnarly.

Rich people have too much money. Eat the rich.

  13. Willow says:

Advertising that you are carrying over 1.5 million dollars with you 24/7 is like putting a big neon sign over your head that says ‘rob me’.

  14. Normades says:

I like Post too and in his defense he does do a lot of charitable work and seems to have his heart in the right place.

His Nirvana cover session for Covid relief was really impressive. He’s really talented and I think he’s just trolling everyone with the rap stuff.
