In our story yesterday about the way Britney Spears’s team controlled her spending, many of you mentioned her sister Jamie Lynn’s recent social media posts. Jamie Lynn had deleted several photos from a condo where she stays in in Destin, Florida, a property worth one million paid for by a trust owned by Britney. Jamie Lynn has spoken about the property in interviews, leading many people in the Free Britney movement to call her out for claiming to not have taken any money from Britney. Seemingly in response to that, Jamie Lynn has posted photos of her family vacation at the Ritz Carlton. She first included a caption with the slideshow defending herself and saying she stays at the Ritz, but she’s since replaced that caption with a more generic one about her vacation. It’s all very shady. I’m going to quote US here because they have Jamie Lynn’s original caption. The slideshow is below.
“I don’t own a condo, and I can assure you that no one has ever bought me a place at the beach, because I prefer my beach vacations’s [sic] at the Ritz anyway🌊,” [Jamie Lynn Spears], 30, captioned a series of Instagram pics on Monday, July 26, disabling comments on the post. “Simple FACTS. Y’all need to stop reachin’🤍🤍.”
Jamie Lynn documented her stay at the swanky hotel with husband Jamie Watson, including a personalized note from the staff and gift baskets in their room. “Thankful to get this time with my family in between our busy work and practice schedules with the kids lol,” she wrote.
[Jamie Lynn] shares 3-year-old daughter Ivey with Watson, 39, whom she wed in 2014. She is also the mother of 13-year-old daughter Maddie with ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge. In her post, Jamie Lynn blurred out her children’s faces.
Earlier this month, The Sun reported that [Britney], 39, allegedly bought a vacation home frequented by Jamie Lynn and her family in Destin, Florida, which has an estimated worth of more than $1 million. [Jamie Lynn] has mentioned the condo several times in the past, telling CMT News in 2016 that she felt “pretty blessed” to have the beachside property as a place to work on her music and relax.
“I host everyone at our condo. … It can sleep about 10 people,” she said at the time. “We all have breakfast together, I plan a big dinner, and we have a space at the beach. And when we write, there’s no pressure and no timeline, so the songs just kind of fall out. It’s hard to call that work.”
Jamie Lynn should have just kept her mouth shut and kept her family photos to herself. The more she posts, the more she seems like one of the people Britney referred to when she said her support system hurt her deeply. You would think she could pick up the junk in the background before taking photos for Instagram.
Britney’s new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, has filed a motion to request that her father be removed as conservator. They’re asking that an accountant named Jason Rubin take over as the estate conservator. The court documents state that Britney’s net worth is “shockingly low” and accuse her father, Jamie, of “dissipating” her fortune while personally profiting from it. I believe Brit bought the condo long before the conservatorship was put in place – apparently she used to go there all the time but hasn’t in the past 13 years. Seems like the family stopped her from going and took it to use for themselves.

@lucy2 — She is, but it was a pretty minor role, so I don’t see those checks covering very much. It was my impression that she was pretty big as a child star so I can’t pretend to know her bank account, but it would make sense to me if her income was *more than* supplemented by Brit’s exploitation.
She’s probably being comped for it by the hotel for posting about it on her Instagram page, or a reduced price.

Living in the huge multi-million dollar estate that Britney built for her in Louisiana. And I imagine Britney’s money is paying the upkeep and expenses of said estate since Lynne Spears doesn’t work.

Showing off your happy family vacation after everything that came to light… that is messed up. One could even assume JL wants to hurt her sister. Keep the family (vacation) photos to yourself – some of them aren’t even that good to begin with. Going through her Instagram, JL comes across like a 30 yo teenager… I wonder if she secretly hates Britney: she always lived in her shadow, she only has had some sort of career because of Britney, people are only interested in her because of Britney. But instead of going into therapy and dealing with the short comings of her awful parents, she directs her anger towards her sister.

Jason Rubin, the accountant they want to take over the conservatorship, is highly sought after for his forensic accounting skills. Britney‘s lawyer argued to the judge that if Britney was capable of choosing her own lawyer, she should also be considered capable of choosing a new conservator. Let the games begin.
It is sad because I remember the way Britney used to dote on this girl. I recall one time years ago, maybe during the “Oops I Did It Again” era, Britney hired a tutor so that Jamie Lynne could spend some weeks with her on tour. She said that she wanted Jamie Lynn with her because she felt like she was missing out on spending time with her and watching her grow up. And now this is how things end up.
Yes i remember jamie Lynn releasing her first single on country radio she performed live somewhere and got a luke warm response from the crowd and the pissed off look on her face! I think she grew up at britneys shows and just took for granted this is how careers go, not that britney was abnormally popular right out the gate with her first single. Um I live outside Destin FL and there’s no Ritz Carlton here. Anyone know the name of Britney’s condo complex? Lots of people have 2nd homes so the real estate market is real tight. It’s hard for locals to buy a home. Between nearby bases and people buying condos for rentals, it’s next to impossible to buy a place here unless you can afford at lease mid 200k.
It’s downtown near Jade East. It’s not a complex, only two buildings. They each have two condos per floor. And they are non rental buildings. My grandparents used to live there.
I don’t know much about Jamie Lynn but, from what she has been posting over the last month or so, she seems extremely unpleasant.
That recent filing to oust Dad Spears is 127 pages long! Rosengart isn’t playing. With each new statement, article, and filing, we get a clearer picture of just how much control that jackass exercised over every bit of her life. It is so disturbing that the court allowed this to go on for so long and in such a deeply inhumane way.

I have been saying that Britney Spears’ net worth seems shockingly low, $60M while her peers are reaching billionaire status? Makes no sense.
Yes. With all the touring she did and insane amount of endorsement deals at her professional peak, plus the Vegas residencies that number looks off. Some people have tried to say that it’s because Lutfi and others were stealing from her during that 2006-2007 phase and that she was spending recklessly, but that doesn’t quite sound right looking at the amount of money that would have been involved. I say her family has been draining as much of her money as the others did.
Someone is covering her ass as she is freaking out over the recent filings from Brit’s new lawyer – its obvious from those docs that Daddy (and the rest of the family) has been helping themselves to the estate which given ALL her deals, Vegas residency should be worth triple what it is. It’s also interesting that the bulk of the estate is in assets – Daddy has had 13 years to hide the money/evidence of his leeching and it will take a LOOOOONG time to unravel exactly where the money has gone. When Britney‘s lawyer spoke before the judge, he talked about the likelihood of Jamie being investigated for malfeasance in the future. He noted that as a conservator, Jamie taking a cut ($ 2.1 million or $2.5 million ) off of Britney‘s Las Vegas stint was a conflict of interest and unethical— at the very least. I’m sure that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Rosengart is gunning for Jamie.

The LV residency alone would have netted her her current net worth of $60 million. Where is all the money from years of selling out stadiums and endorsement deals? I think the conservatorship was initially good for Britney because she was obviously in a bad place and needed a lot of help and perhaps her father was well meaning in the beginning, but something changed. Greed is a terrible thing and it changes people and I think being in control of all that money, not to mention having so much control over someone’s life changed the father into something wrong and here we are. I feel so sick whenever I think of all this because how many people is this happening to? People not wealthy enough to be noticed, elderly, disabled. Truly, I hope all will be revealed and those who are guilty are punished.

I have assumed Britney includes her sister when she talks about her horrible family. She often calls out her dad because he’s the worst, but she never says “my family is terrible except for my sister” or whatever.
There will be books written, shows/movies made about the Spears family (or based on them) and what they did to Britney, and how they benefitted. They saw an opportunity when she was struggling 13 years ago and instead of getting her real help, they took advantage like the grifters they are.
