Red carpets are back, people. Premiere events are back! Last night, The Suicide Squad premiered in LA and I don’t see anyone with a mask. I would hope that everyone has been vaccinated, and that people had to show their vaccination cards to walk the carpet. Ordinarily, I would have made Margot Robbie the “star” of this post since she is the star of the film. But Taika Waititi and Rita Ora made their “red carpet couple debut” at this premiere, so now they’re getting all of the attention. Taika and Rita got together several months ago in Australia. Taika was hard at work on Thor: Love and Thunder and Rita was in town for The Voice: Australia. Love blossomed as most people were just stuck in Australia indefinitely because of the pandemic. And so here we are: Taika and Rita, love and thunder. I hate her outfit! He looks nice though.
Margot Robbie in Chanel. The pants are so unflattering! It’s bonkers to see this trouser cut come back into style, it’s so dated and fug. Margot manages to look lovely despite a bad Chanel look.
John Cena dressed up for the red carpet. I guess I don’t get it, but sure.
Storm Reid had one of the best looks of the red carpet. She looked so cool!
Kate Beckinsale should have checked out the carpet/poster color scheme ahead of time because she’s blending into both.

Lol this reminds me of some comment I read/heard somewhere where it felt like Rita Ora has been “up and coming” for the last ten years. Always up and coming and never established. I couldn’t name or sing a single song of hers.
Storm Reid is the only one who actually looks good, imo–although I do kind of dig the mini dress on Cena’s date. I don’t like the fit of Taika Waititi’s suit.

Whenever I see Margot’s outfits all I can think is her stylist absolutely hates her. How else would you justify dressing a drop dead gorgeous woman in the ugliest ensembles. OBJECTIVELY hideous! She needs a stylist that doesn’t ruin her. it’s become the norm & it’s clearly being done on PURPOSE

I loved Thor Ragnarok so much (and I am really not the target for those kinds of franchise) and Jojo Rabbit, so I prefer not to know much more about Taika Waititi’s messy private life.
If Taika’s personal assistant he left his wife for, then fired, files her rumored wrongful termination suit it’ll be hard to ignore his drama!
He’s wonderfully creative but a total fckboi & ass to his kids/their mother 😊 that is if he even sees them anymore. Most men in HW are awful.

The red carpet is representative of how bad I think the movie will be.
Margot Robbie’s outfit is so bad my eyes are refusing to focus on it. Storm Reid’s is better, but only by comparison. Taika Waititi’s would look better without Rita Ora (as would anyone). Regarding Kate Beckinsdale. Why is she (1) there? (2) Dressed like Mildred Roper?
I think Beckinsale would have been so happy in the late 50’s and 60’s. She is clearly in the market for a time machine.
She’s in a new movie with Jai Courtney who is in Suicide Squad. She was there as his guest and to promote their other film at the same time.
Margot’s outfit reminds me of princess jasmine costumes for little kids with “skin colored” parts attached for modesty/warmth. I wouldn’t exactly consider them a good inspiration for adult fashion…

Taika looks tired. Busy guy. Rita and I both have great calves and chubby thighs. I wonder how she sat down with the bow situation. Where is (ever) Margo’s husband? Did Idris attend? He seems like the guy who goes from job to job without a break.

Taika and Rita look great together. Beautiful couple, IMO. I have just gotten “messy” vibes from both of them separately for quite a while now and I feel like they may be messy together. But hey, I hope they’re having fun!

I wanted to write something about Taika’s hot mess of the midlife crisis, but then I saw Margot’s outfit. Her stylist must hate her. My dear God, on what planet does one put that on and thinks “this is good”. What exactly is going on her, isn’t she the main star of this mayor film and this is what she gets? She deserves better.
Unpopular opinion: I like how everyone looks here ( Margo looks great!), except Rita Ora.
