Adele’s 73 Questions for Vogue: She chose Prince Harry over Prince William

Tennis: Wimbledon

Adele is the November cover star of both American Vogue and British Vogue. She did two separate photoshoots and two separate interviews. American Vogue got Adele at home and the gym, British Vogue got Adele in New York and a visit to a museum. As it turns out, both magazines got Adele to do separate cool videos. American Vogue got Adele to do their “73 Questions” feature, which brings out the best in many cover subjects. Adele is no different – she’s so funny in this video, and we get to see her house!! At long last. The beautiful blue cabinets in her kitchen! The nice rugs! The slightly overgrown garden!

Some quickies: Cate Blanchett is her style icon, she thinks John Mayer is very sweet (because he was nice and supportive to her personally), she thinks Jonathan Major or Idris Elba should be the next James Bond, she prefers Blur to Oasis, and the Spice Girls over The Beatles (sacrilege!). She owns a piece of gum chewed by Celine Dion (she had it framed) and her top three Beyonce albums are, in order, I Am Sasha Fierce, Lemonade and B’Day. She was also given a choice of who she prefers, Prince William or Prince Harry. She chose HARRY!

Meanwhile, Adele’s British Vogue video was a “blind taste test” of British food. She was ready to fight about some of these dishes! It’s pretty good, and I love that she doesn’t f–k with blood sausages in the Full English Breakfast. Also love that she taught herself to cook from reading Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks.

We like Adele, so we’re going to just ignore the Beyonce album picks, because ma’am. Madame! Ooh, chile.

  2. Moderatelywealthy says:

Adele seems more comfortable doing press- not that she was bad, but it does take time to really own it I guess…

Interesting that now ” Harry or William ” became a thing literally on par with ” Beatles or RS (spice girls in this case)

The Other Brother moniker was the first stab in the heart, now this ?

    Lol

  3. MellyMel says:

Love her and that kitchen! I too prefer Spice Girls over The Beatles, but Adele and I are the same age so that just might be our generation.

  4. Cessily says:

I watched the entire YouTube video, she has a beautiful home and answered more than the 73 questions. I really enjoyed it, I love her even more💐

  5. Case says:

Can I just say she’s REALLY good at answering the questions? It’s scripted (or at least a bit rehearsed in advance) and most people sound so flat and awkward when speaking with this interviewer. She’s in motion the entire time and comes across so natural!

  6. Bookie says:

    Cute sweater!

  7. Seraphina says:

I love Adele’s sense of humor. And DUH! Of course she would choose Henry over William.

  8. Anyone normal would just brush this off, but you know Willy is having an absolute tantrum. Once again he loses and Harry wins.

  9. Levans says:

Would anyone pick TOB? Keen Kween wouldn’t even pick William.

    • JT says:

I saw another video going around of British stars being asked to choose their favorite royal. Most of them chose Harry. Nobody chose William.

    • Alexandria says:

It’s a tale as old as time. Lots of women (and men) would choose him for economic reasons because he is heir. Maybe not the aristocrats.

      • Levans says:

@Alexandra Harry is just as an attractive choice from a purely economics stand point, probably more so because you can have the wealth without the need to be keen about things you don’t care about, Harry’s earning potential is higher with book deals and other opportunities. All without being on the public dole and the public scrutiny of how the money is used.

Once again TOB is a poor choice.

      • Alexandria says:

@Levans yeah Harry is a rich guy so he wouldn’t have trouble attracting. William has more to inherit and don’t forget the power trip of being the Queen Consort and producing the next heir.

But of course William, despite having the future estates, the undisclosed private wealth and the titles, is still a poor choice for someone who is sane and has a soul.

  10. Watson says:

She is so charming and gorgeous. Love how you can see her natural smile lines, and how her eyes are so expressive. You can see she does not go nuts with the cosmetic surgery despite what so many have said on this site!

  11. MaryJo says:

    Who world not?

  12. Sofia says:

Didn’t she say in an interview about how nice she found H&M? And I think she was their neighbour when they were at Tyler Perry’s house so it makes sense why she prefer Harry over William

  13. Gk says:

IMO most people prefer the underdog hence Harry over William. Plus Harry does come across as more engaging. I have nothing against William but he does what he does because it gives him a life of privilege, power and what eventually inheriting 1/2 to a billion dollars? The duchy make like 30-40 million a year? Who would walk away? Harry did but he wasn’t going to get all that he was going to get Andrew/ Edward on the edges, still rich but not able to afford a 20 million chalet without hustling for money.

    • JT says:

I don’t think it’s about Harry being the underdog though. I think it’s just that Harry has the better personality. I saw some old clips and read stories about people discussing Harry and they basically describe him as walking charisma. He must be very charming in person, otherwise he would have never been able to build the connections that he has. On the other hand, when is William not clenching? He just seems so unpleasant and awkward at times. I don’t think he knows how to relax and go with the flow.

    • swaz says:

In 2011 she said she loved Harry and would love to marry him

    • Anne says:

When listing all of William’s good qualities ($), including the millions and kingship he’s set to inherit, don’t forget that jaw-clenching thing he does. It’s a winner. /s

  14. Norman Bates' Mother says:

Her house is soooo gorgeous and cozy! People who do these kinds of things or AD house presentations are all so rich that in theory, all their places should be house goals but they rarely do it for me. Her house though is the prettiest I’ve ever seen. So normal, yet so stylish and doesn’t look like either nouveau-riche, rococo nightmare, modern art gallery or like someone on acid designed it. Or whatever Kim Kardashian’s house is…

  15. WithTheAmerican says:

God her house. So beautiful. And that voice. No tuners needed. Amazing!

    • Miss V says:

      All of the above!!!

      • Rise & Shine says:

Agree with you both! Her house is lovely and actually looks like a real home. (Only in our home the kitchen would be more cluttered 🙂 but very beautiful and homey too. And yes, she is so talented as well! Beautiful voice and great songwriter. I really like and admire her.

  16. RaquelS says:

LOVE her!! And why wouldn’t she chose Harry? H&M are the personification of class.

  17. Paloma says:

She and her house look so gorgeous

  18. JMoney says:

Interestingly, no British media outlet has really picked up on Adele choosing Harry including the DailyFail (whereas American media has). Oh the Daily Fail did a whole detailed article on Adele’s 73 questions and purposely omitted Adele choosing Harry over William which I found illuminating (no mention in the comments either). Same with Leo DiCaprio promoting the same environmental cause(s) as Harry that was also zero mention in any British media. I think the British media (cough William) are aware that W&K are not as popular as they thought they are and are legit worried. So now any good press/support H&M get will be blatantly ignored by the British media whereas before they would at least mention it to at least get a rise/hate engagement out of their readers. Now they’re just ignoring b/c they’re worried.

    • goofpuff says:

They’re pretty much banking that nobody would actually go and, I don’t know, watch Adele’s video if they’re actually an Adele fan.

  19. L4Frimaire says:

I enjoyed her on this. The Harry/William thing was a big deal but it’s always interesting to get a snippet of these megastars personality and how they relate to the public. Her life seems super busy but she’s chatty. Also I like her house.

  20. MA says:

Adele also supported the Hubb Kitchen women with Meghan and Harry

  21. Rise & Shine says:

I so did not agree with all of her answers (Spice Girls over Beatles, and ugh to the chewed gum, what’s even happening here 🙂 but I kind of just like her and think she is definitely talented. Her home impressed me because it does seem like an actual home. It’s lovely and seems comfortable too. Again, not exactly like I would pick, but lovely all the same. Good luck to her, and I look forward to her new music.
