Demi Moore twitters Kenya trip; posts photos feeding orphaned baby elephants

Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher have been in Kenya on an African wildlife excursion – and having quite the adorable time, from the looks of it. My absolute favorite thing about celebrity tweeters is when they give us access to their private photos. And these are some especially great ones. How adorable are those little elephants? They’re cute in that way that also breaks my heart, because they’re also orphaned elephants. Makes me think of Dumbo and when his mom cradles him in her trunk. Oh I just broke my own heart at that memory. Anyhoo, Ashton and Demi were feeding elephants at the Samburu National Reserve near Kenya, and Demi put the pictures up on her Twitter account.

Judging by their photos, Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher are as at home on the plains of Africa as they are in Hollywood.

The gorgeous couple was recently seen feeding orphan elephants during a vacation at the Samburu National Reserve near Kenya.

Demi Moore tweeted about the experience and posted photos for her twitter followers.

“All I can say is WOW! These orphan elephants are amazing,” Demi tweeted.

While there, Ashton also got up close and personal with the exotic wildlife and even pitched in to help the local people.

“Spent the day digging a well and watering goats with the warriors and bead girls of the Samburu. Humbling experience,” he tweeted.

I googled the Samburu National Reserve and it has hippos, buffalo, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, lions, Kirk’s Dik-dik (a small antelope), Impalas (not the cars), giraffes, zebras, crocodiles – the works. It sounds like an amazing trip. Ashton is fairly involved with several charitable organizations – one of his big ones is Malaria No More, which provides malaria nets for Africans. World Malaria Day was yesterday – maybe that was part of Ashton’s reason for going? His Twitter wasn’t really specific, and I’m betting it was probably just a vacation, but perhaps he combined the two. Either way, it looks like an amazing experience.

There was a time I liked both Demi and Ashton (sorta kinda not really). But after all the tired self-absorbed (I agree) antics of the past few years, I can’t stand them individually or collectively. Asses.
I’m glad his show tanked and I’m glad she looks like his mother (despite the plastic surgery lies … err … denials).

The elephants skin looks younger than hers.

While is really is quite cute, I begin to wonder if it wasn’t simply for the photo op. Would like to think they were sincere though. One can only hope!

That is SO sweet. I’m a huge animallover (who doesn’t love a “baby” anything?) and these pics just got to me : )

    Baby elephants are just adorable.

I’m glad that there is a place where orphaned “wild” animals can find a place of sanctuary.
