  1. Weekends Off says:

Dog killer. That’s all I’ll ever see him as. A jerk who abuses and murders innocent animals for fun. I wish nothing good for him at all.

  2. Weekends Off says:

” “I just want people to really get to know me as an individual,” Vick told the Times. “What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I’ve made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it’s not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up.”

    Insert puking sounds here.
    I don’t see him as a human.

  3. Katyusha says:

What he did wasn’t a mistake. A mistake is sleeping with someone when you’re drunk, or maybe buying a $300 pair of shoes that don’t fit properly and you can’t return.

  4. lucy says:

Gross. I’m an Eagles fan and very disappointed in them for hiring him, and now ever more annoyed that he’s getting a reality show. I have no interest in seeing “who he really is” or whatever garbage he’s claiming. What he did was not a one time thing, not an accident, not something that got beyond his control. It was a conscious choice to not only allow but participate in all of that.

  5. georgiagrl says:

This man did 2 years in Leavenworth, which is the hardest core of ferderal prisions . He has paid his debt back to society and has a right to rehab his reputation as a human being. Y’all have the right to not watch or give him a second chance, but damn, he’s paid a heavy price, personally and professionally for what he did. I wish him the best and for him to find peace.I’m not a BET fan and won’t watch for that reason alone, but he’s as worthy as any other nobody on these stupid reality shows.

  6. Weekends Off says:

” but damn, he’s paid a heavy price, personally and professionally for what he did.”

Not as high of a price as those innocent animals he murdered paid. They paid a high price, he just did time. Not enough if you ask me.

  7. the original kate says:

yeah yeah, he paid his debt to society, everyone needs a second chance, blah blah blah. he’s a dogkiller who is only sorry he got caught.

  8. Lindsay says:

Yuck – to the Micheal Vick thing although for him probably is more for money, not because he cares what others think of him. This is just an end run around the large majority of his football paycheck going to an animal charity. Plus of people start to like him or no longer immediately think of animal torture maybe his sponsors will come back.

Paying your debt to society doesn’t undo what happened. Thanks to a high power team of defense lawyers the price he paid was greatly reduced in terms of prison time. Crimes like this follow celebrities all their life, without really savvy PR. Even other criminals that reputation and the convection stays on their record, its much worse if you are a sex offender. I hope he genuinely wants to rehabilitate his life and help right some of the wrongs – but a reality show isn’t the way to do it. But gerorgiagrl you right that compared to other reality show stars he fits in and probably isn’t the very bottom of the barrel.

The Kate thing would be kind of cute and funny if it was someone else.

  9. Icecat says:

Yes he paid his debt to society, but why in the heck does he get to make more money with his own reality show. It makes me sick. Hey, I know, lets give this guy, a CONVICTED FELON, his own show so he can make more money….
In my opinion he gave up is right to be in the NFL or on a reality show when he chose to kill innocent dogs.

  10. Praise St. Angie! says:

“Not as high of a price as those innocent animals he murdered paid.”

Weekends Off, you took the words right off of my keyboard. EXACTLY.

sorry, Vick, we don’t need to get to know you as an individual. we already know who you are. and it sickens most of us.

(and Kate, I agree, he’s only sorry because he got caught. If he hadn’t, it’s very likely he’d still be doing what he was doing.)

  11. Sudini says:

Ya Weekends Off – everything you just said! And kudos to everyone else with the exception of those who think he’s “done his time”. Anyone who can possibly excuse this piece of garbage for the pain and suffering he caused needs to really think about it.

He hasn’t done his time or paid anything back to society.

If he’s going to pay it back, he needs to begin by heading a public campaign to end dog fighting and animal abuse in general. THAT’s what his new show should be about. Not how he can redeem his own self image. He hasn’t learned a thing unfortunately.

  12. Squirtle says:

@georgiagrl: You know that Michael Vick didn’t just kill dogs, he tortured them too! Now the surviving dogs have to live out the rest of their lives traumatized all for Vick’s sick sense of entertainment and greed for money. Dogs that were rescued from his property that have been so badly abused they may never fully recover, and I doubt they will ever forget. Like Georgia a pit bull that had every single tooth pulled out of her mouth and Lucas whose face is completely covered with scars! You really think two years makes up for all the suffering of these animals and the amount of time that goes into rehabilitating them?

  13. oh my says:

hmmm paid a heavy price and is not only right back on easy street but is set up for both sports hero and “why won’t people just give him a chance?” victim status.

As a Hokie alum and Philly girl turned former Iggles fan, I’m pretty disgusted

  14. Someone says:

The thing is, there are people who have done LESS than him (like get caught with drugs once or stolen a car) who don’t get second chances. We brand them felons and criminals for life and yet this guy who kill defenseless animals and abused other (like another poster said, they never recover from that, trust me) gets paid millions of dollars again all because he can throw a ball. Where are the reality tv show deals and million dollar contracts for real reformed criminals who don’t get second chances? Where is their chance to get back their reputation?

  15. vegan4animals says:

such a sick, pathetic piece of scum..going on tv now to try to redeem himself…Ain’t gonna happen in my “hood”.

  16. Angelica says:

That’s one way to champion boundaries.

I never pictured him as the human breech.

Way to throw himself into it!

  17. Vermithrax says:

Wow… I hope Joe Francis seriously gets tooled to epic proportions. What a raging jackass.

  18. Thanks to your post I dont look like an idiot. I had an argument with my friend and this shows I was right. Thanks!
