It’s sad that she constantly has to be the butt of jokes and that she always has to defend herself. So, she isn’t the brightest bulb in the box, but neither are some of her detractors. There are better people to make fun of and bring down for their actions than Simpson. She seems harmless and actually never seems to do anyone harm, so why pick on her? That’s like picking on a newborn kitten in some ways- Not fully developed, but cute and very benign.

Poor baby Jessica. Unfortunately, when you’re in the spotlight all the time, you’re therefore a target for the media. If you didn’t want to be constantly critiqued, then I’m sorry, you’re in the wrong profession. You knew what you were asking for when you became a star, so now that you’ve made your bed, you have to lie in it.

I don’t know if she whines so much as she is confused by the fact that she gets so much crap and really does nothing to really merit it. I think she has been treated unfairly by the press, Romo and people in general recently, particularly over the death of her beloved little pet. Heck, maybe I’d be whining a little too if my year was as crappy as hers has been.
No, she isn’t ill, poor or starving, but she has had it rougher than most celebs and it has to be hard in the public to go through all of that stuff. Yes, she chose a public career, but perhaps that was more her father’s doing than hers, and even with that, she really doesn’t deserve the hate she continually gets from people. Save it for the Polanski’s, Gosselin’s and creepy criminals of the world.

I don’t hate her, she’s not interesting enough to hate. I just don’t pity her everytime she falls down and gets a boo boo, which seems to be almost taboo here. good thing I don’t give a shit.
Bottom line is, she is a failed entertainer that has resorted to infamy and public pity parties to sustain any level of stardom. so I don’t think of her as a helpless victim. I firmly believe celebrities who become regular tabloid targets don’t get to be so marketable without taking an active part in the media circus around them. and you know she’s done her fair share of media whoring.

She’s gorgeous. She has had a rough year. I haven’t seen anything where she is “pity partying” it up - she just seems to carry on, smiling and just living her life. And it’s refreshing to see a young woman who isn’t all about being a size 0.
