Kacey Musgraves’s Nashville home is full of white walls, plants & framed blunts

There are certain Architectural Digest celebrity home-tour videos which I can watch repeatedly, like some kind of interior-design ASMR. The two best ones are Dakota Johnson showing off her woodsy Hollywood Hills home and Liv Tyler showing off her gorgeous New York townhouse. I do love to see how rich celebrities decorate, especially when it’s a woman who has bought her own house and decorated it the way she likes. So I went into Kacey Musgraves’ AD video hoping for the best, and hoping to see a lot of her personality. This is her AD tour of her Nashville home:

I appreciate that the spaces are feminine, soothing and clean. But I just couldn’t live with all of that white, cream and blush everywhere, especially given that she has dogs! I feel like this kind of monochromatic (especially with the all-white rooms) can often look too sterile and lacking in personality, even if it’s not “jarring” or too busy. I like that she has books and tchotchkes and collections, hate that her books are color-coordinated. Oh, and I do love all of her plants. So few celebrities have plants in their homes!

Kacey also tells a story about Willie Nelson – when they were on tour together in 2014, he “rolled this huge fatty and we all sat around and smoked it with him, and then he said, ‘Save the rest for another time,’ and I did.” She saved half a blunt a framed it and now it’s in her art room.

Those stone coffee tables with the sharp edges look like death traps.

Exactly what I thought! My daughter and I are both klutzes. I guarantee we would be hospitalized the second day we had those things.

Her bedroom is an absolute dream room to me! So pretty.

Unfortunately, I’ve heard some really awful things about her from friends who live in Nashville. Takes the fun out of this a bit for me :/

      Do tell!
      What have you heard?!?

    • YOKOOHNO says:

Noooo Colby, what did you hear?? (If you’re ok sharing.) I’ve really enjoyed her music since golden hour and am a fan of her laid back weed+country vibe so this is sad to hear!

      • Colby says:

I know me too! I was so bummed. But its ok! You can still like her music. Some people are just jerks. She’s not out here assaulting people or anything

Yikes! I know everyone has different taste, but living in a pink room is my idea of hell.

    • Erin says:

Yeah, on some of those Reddit subs that ask if you’ve ever run/dealt with a celebrity irl, I’ve read that she she’s not a nice person.

    • AnnaKist says:

Come on, Colby. You cannot make a statement like that and then leave us hanging. Spill!

    • Ally says:

everything on deux moi says she is truly the woooooorst. parks in handicap parking spots, super rude to receptionists and wait staff & all the stuff you just don’t want to see from famous people.

    • Colby says:

sorry yall I thought it was fairly common knowledge?! LOL my bad! Didnt mean to leave anyone hanging

Shes (allegedly) just kinda awful and rude, especially to restaurant staff, retail workers, etc. Actually, a lot of things Ive heard are echoed in Deuxmoi or Revealmoi if you want to take a gander there.

Man, why do people pull this crap on workers? I have never been able to make sense of that particularly odious punching-down. Do they think it will get them better service? Is it a way to reassure themselves they’ve put that “low class” work/status behind them? Does it help assuage their (probably endless) insecurities? Whatever they think, being snobby creeps won’t help them do squat. 😠😠

The dog stole the spotlight on that cover.

I love it. You can tell she actually lives in her house and decorated it herself. I was surprised she doesn’t have a grand piano.
