Us Weekly: Britney Spears’ mom wants her to marry bf Jason Trawick

usweeklylovebritney
As I was saying in yesterday’s Cheeto-soaked Britney Spears post, I think Britney is looking really good and she seems healthier than ever. Us Weekly put this brand new Britney on their cover this week, but they seem to be giving all of the credit to Britney’s on-again-off-again agent boyfriend Jason Trawick. The piece is called “How Love Saved Britney” and it kind of sucks.

Here’s the thing – I think it’s perfectly possible that Britney is in love with Jason and that she’s very happy and healthy now. My problem is that I don’t really think “falling in love” had anything to do with how well she seems to be doing. I give most of the credit to her dad’s involvement, and to Britney’s own hard work. Now, I will say this – I think Jason seems like a pretty nice guy, and it probably helps her a great deal to be with a guy who isn’t just some gross user. Us Weekly is selling this relationship hard – they even have quotes from Britney’s mom, who seems hellbent on getting Jason and Britney married off.

After a rocky romance with paparazzo Adnan Ghalib and a devastating marriage to Kevin Federline, Britney Spears has found love with agent Jason Trawick — and her mother, Lynne, thinks he is The One, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue (on newsstands now).

“Lynne said, ‘He’s the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying. The kids love him, and he’s stable,'” a friend tells Us Weekly.

Trawick, 37, stood by Spears, 27, during her darkest moments (she was involuntarily committed twice to a psychiatric hospital in 2008 and lost custody of sons Sean, 4, and Jayden, 3, the year before).

“Most everyone else abandoned her, but Jason refused to be completely cut out of Britney’s life,” says a source. “He’s very protective of her.”

Besides his quick wit and ability to make her laugh in any situation, sources tell Us Trawick accepts Britney – drama and all.

“She has been honest with Jason about what she’s been through in a way that I don’t think she’s been with other people, and he always preferred to not sugarcoat the harsh reality of what happened to her,” says a pal. “He tells her when she should take responsibility for her own actions.”

For much more on Spears – including how she is still haunted by the effect her mental illness had on her boys, how she has repaired her once rocky relationship with her mother and how Trawick has already began acting as “dad” to the singer’s sons – pick up the new Us Weekly today!

[From Us Weekly]

If Britney wants to marry Jason and do the whole song and dance, then God bless. I think Britney is an old-fashioned girl who believes in getting married and all of that, so she probably does want it to some degree. My problem is that she and Jason have only been dating for about six or seven months, and they might have broken up a few times here and there. Plus, Britney might still have feelings for douchebag Adnan Ghalib. My point? She’s nowhere near ready to settle down into another marriage, and I hope her parents aren’t trying to force her into this stuff.

..and we ALL know what a GENIUS her mother is!

  2. Firestarter says:

And her mom was so good at helping her when she was younger with decisions!

  3. crash2GO2 says:

I just don’t see hot love going on between these two. She seems pretty ‘meh’ about him.

I wonder if she really is “doing so well”. She’s not acting out, that’s for certain, but she seems dead in the eyes, passionless, and not her natural goofy self. Her MTV documentary was pretty sad to me. She may be “better” but I suspect it’s more just “prescription drug sedation” . Which isn’t necessarily better…

  5. Just a Poster says:

UGH! I really hate the ole “Man comes in and saves the Woman” stories.

I wonder if Mama Spears is feeling left out. She hasn’t popped up in a long time.

After years of not caring about Britney, I’m actually rooting for her to keep it together for the sake of being a good parent to her innocent little boys. If I’m not mistaken, Jason Trawick isn’t just an agent but he is acting as *her* agent?? Well no wonder he wasn’t leaving her side – he’s a farking employee!!! While it’s true she could have developed feelings for him and vice versa, but let’s not sugarcoat it if this all began because he was working for on an official capacity as her agent. People have talked about how her entourage have been pushing her back to work. As her agent, Jason is just as guilty.

To vale: I totally agree. That MTV special was sad. You can tell that she was sooo lonely even though she has so many people around her. I really feel for Britney. All she really wants is to spend time with her boys & do what she wants. Everyone needs a little bit of control of their life. Its natural. She more than likely never has. I think people need to give her some space, shes a person too.

  8. Sigh. says:

If this is true, she needs to cut out her mom.

    She’s too chatty.
She needs to be watching the OTHER daughter, her ex’s got this one, thanks.
What’s with pushing her child into yet another questionable marriage/probable divorce?

I agree w/ the others — she should be making sure Brit can keep it together WITHOUT a male influence or court order (bf or dad), cos right now, she looks to be “white-knucklin'” it.

  9. vale says:

I agree dude. If you listen to her songs now, like Overprotected, Not a Girl not Yet a Woman, those were such cries for help. No one listened, nothing changed and she burst. Drugging her up and making her do tours isn’t the solution.

  10. n says:

if she’s lonely, this could be good.
i’d like Britney to be happy.

he’s very handsome and seems grounded.

  11. samantha says:

We’ll see how this all plays out. Her bodyfriend is no Gerard Butler in the looks department, and is the most unattractive guy I’ve seen her with IMO.

  12. BitterBetty says:

@ vale: I agree she seems lethargic and lifeless on and off stage. her once radiant smile looks painfully forced and she has the look of a caged animal.

  13. Howie says:

I think he’s totally hot, actually.

Um, is that you, Adnan Gahlib?

  15. Yae says:

She’s been trained from early childhood to be a performing machine.

If she breaks out of that she needs to be drugged into submission.

Hell, thats half of the working force in corporate America, China, and Japan.

  16. BEEBEEC says:

It’s so against her nature to marry and settle down to a decent life with family values and good health, so I am leery about this story.

  17. kimberly says:

i just hate the fact that the balloon family and octo-stupid mom are also on the cover. Those people are not celebs they’re freaky wannabe’s.

get a talent for something and maybe i’ll buy a pap mag.
