In an Esquire interview early last year, George Clooney claimed he was joking when he said in a January, 2007 Oprah appearance with Julia Roberts that he’d had his eyes done. Fast forward to late 2009, and Clooney’s old joke might have become reality. Star Magazine, not known for their credibility, speculates that Clooney has had extensive work around the eyes along with injectable fillers. I buy the part about the Restylane/fillers as you can see that the lines in his face aren’t as deep. It’s hard to tell if he had an eye lift, although I’m not an expert. He did get a lot of work done to his teeth last year, so plastic surgery is definitely a possibility. It looks subtle enough if he did have something done. As Kaiser pointed out a couple of weeks ago, there’s something different about him.
“His crow’s feet are also less pronounced, so he may have had Botox,” Michigan cosmetic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn tells Star. And George, 48, didn’t stop there! “The bags under his eyes are definitely reduced, and the exces skin on his upper lids is gone,” says Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Richard Fleming…
Dr. Fleming notes that George’s smile lines have disappeared, indicated he’s used a filler like Juvederm.

I’ve been starting at high resolution photos of George Clooney’s face and he does look like he has less wrinkles, but the difference isn’t that dramatic. I’m still voting for the Restylane option instead of the full eye lift surgery, but his eyes seem to have changed shape somehow. Again, it’s very subtle and well done and you can’t blame him for wanting some touch ups here and there. Clooney, 48, recently quipped that people think he’s 60 so he might be feeling a little insecure as he ages. His new “piece” (as Kaiser puts it), Elisabetta Canalis, is just 31. Clooney has to keep up for a while until he trades her in for the next non-threatening woman who will fawn all over him.

I know I go on and on about it but he probably had a different shaped cheek implant inserted in the gumline because the bags are still under the eyes but the shape of the eyes has changed from underneath. The give away is the nasofabial or whatever line running from the nose to the corners of the mouth. That too has been altered. Cheek implants are used to lift the middle of the face. So many people have them. They are more common than breast implants and come in lots of sizes and variations.

Sorry, but I think he’s also had a mini facelift. His face looks a tad tighter.
Btw, love the part about the “next non-threatening woman.” I used to really dig Clooney, but the fact that he won’t get within a hundred miles of a real woman is starting to get on my nerves. Can you be a liberal and a misogynist who exists before the women’s movement ever happened? Yes, I think Clooney proves that you can.

@TwinkleToes Dig it, Twink. That site rocks. All I know is anybody who touches a face that HAD cheek, jaw implants can FEEL them. I worked in retail for a big cosmetics company and the saddest case I saw, the cheek inplants drifted up towards the eyes and created a ridge, almost puppet-face like De-Wight on Atlanta Ho-Fest. You can feel the screws. ICK!

Im going with fillers in the deep wrinkles, a good peel…and a new hair cut. A good haircut can make your face appear different.
I dont know about the implants…ive followed clooney for along time and I think he looks mostly the same.

Also the comparison is two different profile sides so it makes it hard to tell if there is any “real” work done. I know my face isn’t perfectly symetical. Not all of us are Kevin Costner

But we know why Clooney doesn’t respect women…because he’s still in the closet, and why would you respect a woman that you BOUGHT to be your beard? He’s not interested in women, period, so why would he bother to get to know any of them? Besides, they just want the money and fame associated with being “George Clooney’s girlfriend”. They don’t care about him, he’s not interested in them, it would probably make anyone cynical and screwed up when it comes to women….
And yes, he looks different. More weaselly, because he’s always looked like a weasel to me. I’ve never found him attractive and I wouldn’t be his beard because i couldn’t stand to listen to his liberal blathering. Hope he pays those women well!

I myself am liberally moderate and while I agree there are always bad apples in every party, the entire conservative movement is now being represented by openly racist, sexist fear mongers who only like America when they are in charge of it.

He still looks like he has “dead eyes” to me. I think the different hairstyles inthe pictures may make it seem to some that he’s had something done.
Either way he doesn’t have much to worry about. A lot of people aren’t into him because of his looks, they just like the fact that he’s rich and he lives a pretty care-free lifestyle.

The bad ones I felt had screws. I seem to remember on Dr. 90210, one of the docs took out, I believe, a Dremel-type drill, to put in the screws. Hell, my bladder sling was put in with screws. Which fell out too soon, through my vi-jay-jay and onto the shower floor.

I honestly don’t know why so many people are insistent he’s gay. Just because he’s not married and has a lot of girlfriends? See Jack Nicholson. No one’s ever accused him of being gay, have they? Some people are just not interested in marriage and long term relationships. Personally, I’m one of them – commitment gives me hives.

He had some serious face work done not too long ago. He looked horrible, but it looks like it’s settling in now. His false teeth are too big, too. Maybe that’s why he’s been in Italy – to let all the plastic surgery settle.
In some ways, he is so gross. But he is intelligent. And he’s a good actor and director. Personally, though, yuck. I don’t even know how he gets any women to date him. It’s like pure prostitution. Doing it for money with the gross old guy.

Perhaps the real reason he doesn’t want real women is because he is in essence an actor. I’ve said this quite a few times, that a real woman, decent woman, wouldn’t have him. A lot of actors aren’t married to scientists, doctors, veterinarians and the like because the women they meet and usually date are the type that don’t have anything better to do than drop everything, go for them, either get them down the aisle or a fat check after they are dumped.
Women in normal jobs can’t stay out all night partying, go to a premiere on whim, jet set to Russia to hang around on a film set. Furthermore, in his job, Clooney only meets waitresses, bartenders, and aspiring models/actresses as a matter of course.
He’s not mixing in circles where he would run into the women we talk about, that we think he should be with. Women we think would be ‘worthy’ of him are actually women who wouldn’t have him. I don’t think a ‘real woman’ would want him because he isn’t a good bet. Smart, decent women aren’t stupid enough to throw their lives away for him. Such women are meeting and becoming attached to men from their circles.
In those circles, Clooney has nothing to offer, he can’t compete. He’s the male version of a slutty starlet who aims for a business tycoon. It isn’t going to happen. Men like him are good for flings, not serious romances by women who are serious about love and have self respect.

That cheek implant page is interesting. Although the details are a bit gorey.
Clooney looks decidedly more attractive to me in the earlier photos. There are so many things a person can do to their face these days that it’s hard to pinpoint specifics, especially if the work is good.
I always figured that when you hear persistent rumors that someone is gay, it’s because they’ve slept with people of the same sex. While no one’s going to issue a press release about it, word always gets around.
