A woman like Megan is shining bright but reminds me of other starlets who have burned bright and then burnned out. I hope she doesn't wind up as an overdose on the floor of some hotel room. Look at Melanie Sinclair, the talented gymnast from UF. She was the one of very few gymnasts to score a perfect 10 on bars. She was recently arrested and charged with posession of stolen property. She let her boyfriend store stolen goods in her dorm room. So she has lost her spot on the team, (and any chance to the Olympics), has to pay back her scholarships, and will face mandatory jail time for possession and aiding and abeting. Such a loss. And I thought, What *is* it with Megan Fox? Why have I seen *nothing* but negative buzz on her for months now? And what are they carping about this time? I've never seen the Transformers movies, it's not my kind of thing. And I hadn't even really read anything about Megan before today, but I do stop and take notice of headlines about her ever since she jumped off a magazine cover and landed splat on my eye maybe a year ago, inducing a double-take "Whoa, who is THAT???" kind of reaction. She's VERY striking. I am in media myself in a minor way, and I'm sensitive to spin and trends. I actually think maybe she does need us to defend her. :) She is taking so much heat these days you would think she had left four puppies and a human infant in a closed car on a 100-degree day in SoCal. Being a bad girl can do wonders for your career (e.g. Madonna and a slew of others), but Megan's image seems to be just plain bad nowadays, maybe bad enough to make her star fall. And it seems to be based on nothing but words, mostly words out of context. So yeah, it's all pretty silly, and you know, folks... maybe Megan doesn't want to be your ideal.
