Prince Andrew is ‘fuming’ with Charles & William for stopping his comeback

Prince Andrew didn’t attend Royal Ascot last week. It was notable because he loves Royal Ascot and he always attends, but his non-attendance came on the heels of his last-minute withdrawal from Garter Day. It’s clear that Andrew believes he should be allowed to launch a comeback and the Queen agrees, but then Charles steps in and tells him “absolutely not.” The Mail reported that Andrew’s decision to skip Ascot was made “without fuss,” meaning Charles likely said “and don’t you even f–king think about going to Ascot.” Speaking of the tense situation between brothers, Andrew is apparently going to throw a massive tantrum at Balmoral this summer if and when he and Charles are in Scotland at the same time.

Angry Prince Andrew is refusing to socialise with Charles and William for blocking his public comeback. And his fury is throwing into turmoil the Royal Family’s summer get-together at Balmoral. There are fears he simply won’t attend, or will and cause friction with his older brother and nephew.

Sources say he planned to go to Royal Ascot but pulled out because he was so angry with their order to keep out of sight at public events. The Sun told last week how Charles and William stopped Andrew, 62, from attending parts of the Knights of the Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle. He did appear at the investiture and private lunch. He was pulled from Ascot plans after the Queen agreed he could face a backlash.

A source said: “Andrew is desperate to rebuild his life and wants his titles back. But he is fuming with Charles and William for stopping his plans. He doesn’t want to talk to them. Battle lines have been drawn and this has put a cloud over Balmoral in the summer.”

[From The Sun]

The word that keeps cropping up in these Andrew stories is “deluded.” As in, Charles is letting people know that Andrew’s fantasy of somehow reclaiming his titles and successfully launching a comeback is “deluded.” If Andrew doesn’t go to Balmoral this summer, it will be because Charles managed to successfully block him from Scotland. But I doubt that will happen – Andrew is always invited as the Queen’s guest, and last year he even brought Fergie too.

Meanwhile, there’s a good chance that Andrew is going to be sued by yet another one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims. A 28-year-old woman named Caroline Kaufman claims that Andrew was in Epstein’s new York mansion the night Epstein raped her when she was a teen. Kaufman’s lawyer Spencer Kuvin is letting it be known that he’s actively looking to serve Andrew with a subpoena.

Anger is never the primary emotion, Drew. You’re probably scared that you will be cut off, but traipsing about with child sexual predators and abusers eventually has its consequences, especially when you have been accused of abuse yourself and Mumsy has had to settle it for you. Probably best to shut your mouth and be grateful you aren’t in prison, which is very likely where you belong.

  2. ChillinginDC says:

    Yikes! Another accuser?

Also Andrew is deluded as anything. Charles has more sense. You can’t just bully the public into letting you run around again Andrew with your titles and patronages. Not after your brother and nephew pushed Harry out. It makes them look bad. And honestly that’s why Andrew will never be allowed to be out and about.

    • Mrs Robinson says:

This all feels like a veiled threat to me—as in look, I’m a loose cannon who can make headlines weekly. Either support me through the rest of my life or I’m going to draw this out in the press — or worse go back to my shady dealings (and/or bring those to light and all of you as well).
It’s a really bad look for this family that he has them in his pocket.

  3. Smart&Messy says:

We all knew Virginia was not the last one to come forward. His role in Epstein’s empire is going to (rightfully) haunt him for the rest of his life. Good!

    • Emme says:

Hmmm…. Kind of wonder now that Andrew has left the stable door wide open after the horse bolted by paying off his first accuser, and lo! a second accuser has appeared, if there are to be a steady stream of accuser year in, year out. Going to cost you, mummy!

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Smart&Messy, for some reason it seems that I remember that Virginia had a victim/witness for the lawsuit against PA. If I’m remembering correctly, this may be that person. If she was willing to testify before, then she’s probably prepared to take this to trial.

  4. Alexandria says:

What are you gonna do about it Andrew? Sell some secrets?

  5. equality says:

Charles and Will didn’t block him from attending the garter thing; public opinion did. If it had been them, his name wouldn’t have been printed on the program and his attendance wouldn’t have been announced.

    • ChillinginDC says:

Thank you. Even Scobie and I forget who else said his name were on programs.

      • ML says:

Exactly. Worse, he still attended outside of the public eye, there’s just no public visual record of it. Somehow C and W are getting way more credit than they deserve.

    • WallOfFire says:

They absolutely don’t think there is anything wrong with what Andrew did. If anything they are irritated that Virginia fought for justice and they couldn’t bully and smear her they way they did Meghan.

  6. CC says:

Better start clipping coupons for antiperspirant, Andy, the gravy train’s coming to a stop.
(It would be so funny if people started a campaign of sending sticks of antiperspirant to Andrew’s residence.)

  7. Amy T says:

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, Andy. Or, in your case, be an entitled predator in semi-public and get thrown into the closet to hang out with the rest of the family skeletons. The rest of the family hears you banging on the door, but they’re just going to keep ignoring it.

  8. Jais says:

Wait, Andrew is refusing to socialize with William or Charles bc he’s mad at them? Ummm, I don’t think they mind, bro.

  9. Lizzie Bathory says:

Andrew refusing to socialize with them? To paraphrase Elizabeth Bennet, “It is truly a very cruel deprivation. I hardly know how Charles shall bear the loss of Andrew’s company.”

  10. Ceej says:

Ha! At this person in his camp and the journalist who are coming up with such delights as “there are fears he simply won’t attend” (if by fears, they mean rejoicing by Charles that he doesn’t have to deal with that negative PR) and “he doesn’t want to talk to them” – ha again! What a delightful win for Charles! Who does Prince Andrew think he’s punishing with his sulk?

I do enjoy the constant reinforcement that old rich colonial white men deal with everything by throwing a toddler tantrum. how tragically pathetic.

  11. tuille says:

I’d like to see Andrew shunned by all his toff friends sued by everyone to whom he & Ferg owe money. Complete, undeniable public shaming is what he & his enabling mother deserve.

  12. Jane Wilson says:

If he manages to live the rest of his life in seclusion and obscurity, he’ll be a lucky, lucky man.
Also safer from public ridicule (or worse) once his mother isn’t there to protect him.
And he might want to consider his daughters; surely the shame and humiliation they’re already living with is enough to last a lifetime.

  13. Brassy Rebel says:

    Geez, Andy, read the room.

    • HeatherC says:

He doesn’t believe the room exists until he enters it and everyone bows to him.

  14. Tessa says:

I think Charles gets the credit. William seems to get too much of it of late.

  15. Deering24 says:

Criminy–this guy is nothing but evil, arrogant, utterly soulless entitlement. A hungry ghost, per Japanese folklore.

  16. jferber says:

I’d love Andrew to release some tea, really nasty stuff, to scare William and Charles into treating him better. Andrew should fight for this. He’s a blood prince, after all. Start a war, Andrew. It’s your right!

  17. Deanne says:

He really is an entitled turd, isn’t he? Deluded doesn’t come close to describing him.

  18. Mslove says:

I’m sure Randy Andy is fuming about many things, but this article is trying to make Chuck & Bill look good. The fact that Randy Andy still gets to participate in private is ridiculous, and shows the RF for who they really are.

  19. Manning says:

Where is Virginia and her tell-all interviews now that the Jubbly is all wrapped? I thought she had an NDA until after the Jubbly out of respect for the Queen, but everything seems quiet. Maybe Andy’s more pronounced exile these last few weeks is further preparation for the PR death blow when Virginia finally talks. I sure hope so.

  20. RoRo says:

“Andrew is always invited as the Queen’s guest, and last year he even brought Fergie too.” — YEAH, as well as his three (VV expensive) vehicles he had transported there too. What a stain.

  21. HeatherC says:

I think Charles and William are being unreasonable. It’s not like Andrew married a black woman after all.

  22. K says:

His comeback?? He didn’t release a crappy album or have a movie bomb!! He sexually assaulted girls. You shouldn’t be able to come back from that.

  23. Wendy says:

Andrew must be seeing his future flash before him – now that Charles is more and more in charge and his mummy less able to push for him, it must be looking bleak. Accept reality Andrew and get ready for a quiet life tucked out of sight with no mummy to protect you.

  24. Julia K says:

A lawyer was discussing this ( on one of the many news channels) and all they want from him is if he recalls seeing this person in the mansion on the day she was assaulted. Doesn’t sound like there is any more to it than that.

  25. Back Pain says:

Prince Pedo needs to sit down

  26. jferber says:

When Mummy dies, I believe Andrew will receive a much larger chunk than anyone else bc Mummy is so worried about her baby and how he will fare when she is gone. So she’s feathered his nest with many, many millions (does anyone truly know how much she owns?) But he wants what’s not in her power to give him: respect, representation and equality to the rest of the working family because he is a blood prince, the second son of the queen. To him, that relationship is supreme and should cancel anything else he has done or been in his life that is criminal and reprehensible. To me, that is an alien world. That mindset would also cancel out William’s laziness because he is the first son of a soon-to-be king. Again, not what you do that matters, but who you are. This is the basis of so much injustice in this world.
