Jessica is the -worst- type of woman for a man to get hooked up with.

I don’t know how many guys are absolutely sick of their girlfriends or exes who bemoaned their boyfriends not being better “entertainers”.

Men have hobbies and a diverse range of interests, and when a woman’s hobby is her boyfriend, it tends to aggravate and smother the significant other.

Boyfriends are not parents or social convenors, don’t depend on them to be perpetually entertaining you.

I’m ashamed to confess that I remember this, but I recall an interview (cited here, I think) after the Mayer break-up, as she started dating Romo, where she said it was a relief to be with someone who wasn’t pressuring her to be smarter all the time. So I guess what she means here is someone less intellectual than John Mayer, which is setting the bar quite low, obvs.
