Boy, I love being an LDS (Mormon) woman. It's like our "cult" is still the modern-day equivalent to the medieval fears and superstitions of witches. Come on people get out of the “dark ages” and get educated...and not by someone's aunt's friend that was a Mormon & she said...kind of thing. I'm neither subservient nor anti-"gay" – haha, if you only knew me! – no, not my family or those I go to church with either. Yes, I wear those funny underwear - no diff in theory than my Muslim or Jewish friends...just like attending our respective temples or mosques. It’s a sign of devotion…not of some weird, brain-washing, bow-down-to-my husband kind of gimmick. Lay aside the misinformation and go party with your LDS friends…green jello salad and funeral potatoes aren’t all that bad haha!

All religions are fairytales.

Just as it annoys me when theists misuse the term "theory" as in "Evolution is JUST a theory," yeah, like gravity is just a theory, it also annoys me when people on my "team" misuse the term cult. Please do some research before calling all religions cults. Sure they are all bat-guano crazy but not all of them are cults by the technical definition of the term.

The LDS (Mormon) Church is the same worldwide also.
The rule about sex is abstinence until marriage, and whoever said anal and oral don't count is totally wrong.

The garment is supposed to be worn at all times except when swimming or working out (because it'd get it all sweaty and that isn't respectful), but when swimming we are to wear one-piece swimsuits that don't show cleavage, and when working out we're supposed to wear knee-length shorts and shirts with sleeves. Jess had it right - we are not to show our upper thighs, shoulders, or midriffs since those are parts of our bodies that the garment covers (which is basically what is covered by a cap-sleeved shirt and knee-length shorts). Before you are endowed and can wear the garment, you are still supposed to dress in clothes that would cover you if you were wearing it. That's how we define modesty (as far as covering up is concerned).

Mormon undergarments are supposed to be warn underneath everything. Why? So they can protect the wearer from fire and other such hazards, of course. Oh, and while women can wear shorts and sleeveless shirts, MARRIED women can only wear shorts/skirts that go down to their knees and shirts that don't bare too much of their arms.

Those women in the calender were most likely ex-communicated. So much for "taking a stand" although I don't know how much of a stand they took taking semi-nude photos for a calendar. The Mormon church allows no female bishops and not many women go on missions, only men. I'd work on the other stuff first before taking photos for a calendar.

Happy that sexuality doesnt have to be imbibed with shame and thought of as a sin, when we were created just as we are including sexuality.
It can be misused, yes; and objectifying any person for your own sexual desires is not respectful or healthy for either person, but- we are sexual and shouldnt label a part of ourselves as inherently evil.
If shame is the only thing that can make people behave more respectfully, then that really is a shame LOL but then it spoils the beauty and innocence of sexuality as an expression of love and acceptance, not condemnation or fear.
if its given and recieved truly out of love, then it is only good.

The Catholic Church is really the only one who is UNIVERSAL in their behavior and practices. I have been all over ( the U.S.) and have interacted with all different belief systems. No One Commenting in this post is Wrong..No One.. Every region has it's own system and guidelines depending upon the church itself. If you are a devout follower of a specific sect and you move from Miami, FL to Seattle, WA, you will most likely not attend a service after deciding none of them are right for you. You'd be hard up in finding one that matches what you're looking for.
In my opinion, whatever the reason for these hotties might be, they look great. Kuddos all over the place.

Camille Paglia disapproves.

bros and Cinderella - right?!

Edited to add: As a young athlete in Kansas, the boyfriend was invited to join a few YSA meetings . . . a frightening ordeal by all accounts, but then again he could have ended up with one of these "hot" and "naughty" hypocrites. A bittersweet scenario. ;)
