Anyone can have depression. He needs to stop. He put down her work, and then goes and leaks her phone call to him because he is money hungry, probably for his own drug habbit. To the person that said Lindsay still calls out to her dad, of course she does. A child will always long for the love of their parent, at least most. You want their approval. My dad is an asshole, nothing compared to this guy. But it hurts me that I practically have to beg him to have a relationship with him. Now this douche is saying horrible things about his daughter to get some money and blaming everything on others. Take a look at yourself. He needs to look at how he has nothing to do with her, and how stabs her in the back. I feel really bad for Lindsay, she just needs someone to care for her. I've always felt that Michael Lohan was more interested in media attention for its own sake. He obviously sees himself as a "media dad," hence his affinity for Jon Gosselin. When Lindsay first started dating Samantha Ronson, Michael Lohan was against it and had to issue several statements to the press about his disgust for homosexuals. Maybe he thought he was helping to save his daughter at that point as well from what he considered to be an unholy lifestyle. It's beyond me why he thinks Lindsay should live her life according to his new-found morality since he was off committing crimes, doing drugs and having affairs during the majority of her childhood. In any case, I think most would agree that the public shaming about being a lesbian wasn't an effective technique since the relationship lasted more than two years. Now his concern for his daughter again takes the form of increasingly sensational press releases. I can't wait until his bag of tricks is finally empty and he's forced to deal with the situation as a human instead of as a media personality. Lindsay is on a downward spiral but Michael seems determined to usher her ever more quickly to rock bottom. He has to play a part in the drama. I'm certainly willing to consider that he's doing it out of a misguided sense of "love," but I think this sentiment is heavily adulterated with Michael Lohan's own self-interest and need for control. It seems like he wants his own show.
