Well well well. Turns out ‘lil ‘ol Carrie Prejean didn’t drop her lawsuit against the Miss California Pageant just because they had a good case in their countersuit. They also had some serious dirt on the former beauty queen: a sex tape. In fact when they showed her the tape she instantly said she’d drop the suit. She’s walking away with nothing, though the pageant is paying a hundred grand towards her lawyers and publicist. TMZ confirms that the tape definitely exists – they were shown it several months ago. However they decided not to post it because it was so graphic. Which makes me wonder: what must be on that tape for it to be too much for TMZ?
Carrie Prejean demanded more than a million dollars during her settlement negotiations with Miss California USA Pageant officials — that is, until the lawyer for the Pageant showed Carrie an XXX home video of her handiwork.
The video the lawyer showed Carrie is extremely graphic and has never been released publicly. We know that, because TMZ obtained the video months ago but decided not to post it because it was so racy. Let’s just say, Carrie has a promising solo career.
We’re told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to jettison her demand and essentially walk away with nothing. As we first reported, the Pageant is paying around $100,000 to her lawyers and publicist — a fraction of her bills. She pockets nothing in the settlement.

So the video is probably of just Carrie, from TMZ’s little “promising solo career” quip. But it could be with someone else and she just spends a lot of time on herself. Someone else was probably taping, if nothing else. But I have a hard time thinking of anything she could do on her own that would be so shocking TMZ would pass on posting the tape – or at least screen caps or something. That just seems right up their alley. I have never, ever so greatly hoped a semi-celebrity sex tape would be released. Crossing fingers.
So I guess Miss Morality really is just Miss Bigot. I doubt marriage between two men or two women is an immoral sin but making a dirty sex tape is a-OK. And I have to give fair credit here – Celebitchy pointed out earlier today that the pageant could have something on Carrie. She’s so self-righteous, it’s hard to believe she’d drop her lawsuit for anything. Unless the tape is out of this world, I’m a little surprised it caused her to back down. I thought her sanctimony would make her see it through ‘till the bitter end.
I cannot wait to hear her statement. I’m going to relish her logic and justifications – they’ll be good for a laugh.

Hmm I always wonder if people remember what she actually answered. Many in the media act as though she said she wanted to lynch all gays. I believe she said she doesn’t personally support gay marriage, but it’s ok that others do and that’s why we live in a democracy. You know, vote as we see fit.
A lot of famous figures don’t believe in gay marriage, like President Obama for example. It’s her right to believe as she wants, though I suppose it’s everyone’s right on here to criticize her for it. -

I agree with you totally that the POTUS is, in my opinion, wrong on his position regarding the DOMA. I certainly, much like you, hope that the POTUS decides to accept that marriage isn’t about a man and a woman, but about adults who would like to commit themselves to each other in a legal and binding way, as well as in a spiritual way, should they so desire. Marriage isn’t about being gay or straight.
Thank you so much for being an advocate for gay marriage, it is nice to see. I wish more people were like you so that politicians wouldn’t be so scared of supporting this issue.

(I don’t think it’s any of the government’s business either; it’s weird to me to think that they can decide if anyone, gay or straight, can get married or not.)

crash - assuming she didnt give/sell this tape to someone, then she might in fact have the law on her side and possibly a valid extortion claim against the pageant for using the tape as leverage - but, in order to sue on that theory, she’d have to admit the tape exists - this way, the lawsuit goes away, there is probably a confidential agreement, and she gets to deny the tape exists, which she needs to be able to do in order to continue getting paid speaking engagements. even if the law is on her side, if she cant deny the tape exists and her whole shtick is being miss “values”, she’s, well, screwed. i think its a probably a matter of time until the tape comes out anyway, so probably a lose-lose for carrie. altho, yeah, she might lose the political speaking engagements, but the reality show producers will take her.

Where is there a moral failing in filming a video of yourself in the nude in private and for private use and how does that make someone against gay marriage a hypocrite? I respect your opinion, but I have done the same thing with my wife and we go to church every Sunday. I just do not see the connection. Now, if she was with a woman, or it was found that she had dabbled in homosexuality, then I would understand the point of most of this rhetoric. If she were to have an epiphany and changed her position would you celebrate her new found inclusiveness or would she still be a hypocrite. Well spoken though, I must say.

The only reason for Carrie to drop the suit is to protect herself and family from the media. Just by making such a personal video in the first place illustrates a person with a lot of confidence that will take her far in life. I feel sorry for Carrie. We have all done things in our past we are not proud of, most of us never filmed it though. It was stupid f her to do this, then knowingly go on the moral trail to be a “leader”. Had she thought it would be a problem (I don’t see how she could have thought it wouldn’t)she should have been up front about it. Many people have repented from past indiscretions, or sins, and have lived clean, whole lives.

Seems like this must have been a tape from some time ago. We all mature and realize the wrong thinking, wrong acting we’ve done in the past. Give her a break - we all are going to stand before God one day. Just because someone sins does not make them ineligible to point out sinful behavior that can bring people to ruin.

I had the pleasure of watching part of “Milk” last night. it’s funny (actually, more sad…) to think that people used to be afraid that gay teachers were teaching kids to “be gay”. thankfully, people have opened their minds and realized how stupid and far-fetched that claim was. I can only hope that in the near future people will think that the claim of gay marriage threatening the institution of marriage is just as stupid.

Why is it that people thrive off of other people’s pain, especially when they are pretty, popular, or famous. Turn some of that hatred into positive energy and do something good with it. As for how Carrie answered “the question”, she gave the best answer she could have gave, the honest one. There is enough dishonesty in the world, don’t complain when some one answers a questions truthfully and you trash her because she doesn’t answer it to fit your life style. Heterosexuality is a choice just as Homosexuality is. If she would of answered it the opposite way you wouldn’t see the Heterosexual community in an uproar. Everyone is entitled to live their lives the way they choose, like it or not. That’s our country and that is the “American Way”. Being able to do, be and say what you want, that’s what makes our country what it is. You can’t have it both ways.
