It has helped save my sanity more than once. I felt contempt for Jess until the dog happened; I have a cat I got for my birthday 2 weeks before Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, MS; she was one of the only things I had left after and she's always on "her" pillow beside me during those troubled times, and good ones. I feel genuinely bad now for laughing at Jess cuz I know how upset I'd be if it were me. She DOES seem like she'd be fun to go out drinking with. If she'd focused more on her marriage to Nick than her career, she wouldn't be in the position she's in today, wanting desperately for someone to love her and to have children. I hope she stops bending herself around whatever man comes along and remembers what she wants; maybe then she'll get it.
