I think the pappis are appallingly dull and terribly irritating. They are like flies round a dung heap. We dont have so much of a problem with this where I live. (Jersey in the Channel Islands) Celebrities move freely around here and no one bats an eyelid. I think James Gandolfini was incredibly well behaved under the circumstances. How rude of that photographer! When it comes to our children we would all be the same especially in this day and age.
Hats off to James from Jersey, Channel Island UK!

I would usually defend the photographers right to photograph anything they want, but James Gandolfini was doing a spot of shopping for crying out loud. What value would these pictures have been … unless, of course, you could get JG annoyed enough to give you a Thwack! and hey presto there’s a story for you

Being paid to take pictures does not make one a photographer. A professional photographer, asks their subjects for permission to shoot. These paparazzi are basically thugs that know how to point a lens, press a button and utter animal like grunts while guffawing.

I can’t condone the violence, but if you’re constantly tailed and bothered… after a while it doesn’t matter how “close” someone is, you just want to be left the hell alone.
Is it right? No, of course not… but is it really so hard to understand? Also no.
