Lady, there are TONS of 44-year-olds who look fantastic without having to go to those extremes. Soundsl like you’re just a masochist to me… I’m sorry, but what a stupid approach to eating. How’bout you cut out the vodka and eat a sandwich or something?

A shot of vodka has about 100 calories (all hard alcohol does, depending on the proof), a glass of wine has about 120, there’s not exactly massive caloric savings there.

Vodka is not “diet”. Calories are calories. Whether you eat 500 calories worth of french fries or drink 500 calories worth of vodka, your body still has to get rid of it the same way.

Besides that, why the hell would she force herself to drink something she didn’t like ?

Vodka is not fattening at all. I think drinking in general may bloat you, but there is no fat or carbs in vodka. It’s pretty low calorie, per serving.

She’s hardly “perfectly toned”. Eating less can actually slow down the metabolism, and all alcohol is empty calories. She’s an idiot

I agree with whoever said she must have only followed the one-meal-a-day-diet after the birth of her son. If that’s all she ate now, she’d be MUCH thinner, and I don’t think “thin” when I see Liz Hurley. I think she actually looks pretty good — kind of curvy and womanly. No doubt she still diets, because it’s rare to meet a female celeb who doesn’t, but she doesn’t look like someone who survives on 4 or 500 cals a day.

Of course Elizabeth Hurley is going to be obsessed about her looks–a model’s career depends on being thin.

I think it’s a very smart move for Elizabeth to be seeking out an alternative career for herself. She’s in her mid-40s so her days as a model/actress are numbered, if not already over.
