‘Succession’ Season 4 trailer is here, let’s see what these rich idiots are up to

Succession Season 3 ended on a thrilling cliffhanger. Logan Roy had made a backroom deal with Lukas Matsson, played by Alex Skarsgard. Logan was able to make the deal, effectively cutting out all of his kids, by making a separate deal with his ex-wife. Shiv’s husband Tom (played by Matthew Macfayden) had screwed her over by informing on her to her dad. The season ended with the Roy children (minus Connor) all slumped over, cut out of the business, outplayed and outmatched by their father. It was glorious. So what will happen in Season 4 now that – at long last – the Roy kids are on the same page? What happens when Kendall, Roman and Shiv work together to destroy Logan? Well…

What I appreciate is that Connor and Gerri are trying to talk some sense into the idiots. Connor knows it will end badly, because it always ends badly. Gerri is trying to do what she’s always done: advise Roman to proceed with caution, because he’s not going to win in a battle with his father. We can also see that Tom and Shiv’s marriage is on the rocks (hahaha GOOD) and that Connor and Willow finally go through with the wedding after he proposed last season. I love these big dumb rich idiots so much.

Anyway, Succession Season 4 starts on March 26! GET HYPED!

Yes best news! Thanks for covering this!

    • Yup, Me says:

Same here. Thanks for covering this so I can note the dates (the last couple seasons I didn’t know it had come back until well into the season).

I love this show. And I also hope they go down in a private plane crash at the end of the series.

  2. Saba says:

Is season 4 actually season of Cousin Greg? I cannot wait.

  3. Driver8 says:

I am so excited!!! Definitely need to re-watch last season. This show was a slow burn for me, but now I’m obsessed!

    • SAS says:

I didn’t watch for so long because I thought it looked slow… I was 100% sold by the excruciating family therapy episode towards the end of season 1! I absolutely died a million deaths.

  4. SAS says:

Aahhhhhh so hyped!! I’m a new convert (only watched for the first time a couple of months ago) and so excited there’s two more seasons I can watch along with in real time.

I sold it as Game of Thrones crossed with Fleabag to my work friend who totally jumped on board thank god so I have someone to obsess with. Can’t believe how much I adore these assholes!

  5. OldLady says:

it’s like Israel Palestine Greg, but harder; and much more important.

    I am hyped.

    • MaryContrary says:

I legit just spit out my coffee laughing at that. Their scenes are the best. Cannot wait!!

    • Zazzoo says:

The Greg- Tomlette is the best dynamic of any show ever.

    • Lurker25 says:

OMG I cackled out loud, so loud, at that!! The delivery was… Just perfect.

I dip in and out with this show. (I know! Not the right way to watch etc). I just don’t have the patience for musical chair alliances and the same patterns over and over. But the acting, the one-liners, the cringe…

Sigh. I just talked myself into watching again.

  6. HeyKay says:

    I enjoyed S1-2. It’s well done.

  7. Twin Falls says:

    Finally!

  8. TIFFANY says:

Tom should be hated, but I just can’t. I mean…amazing. I just have respect for his game. You knew it was coming when Shiv took the honesty thing too far in the bedroom, but it was still shocking.

Matthew McFadden could possibly repeat if the trailer is a indicator.

  9. SpankyB says:

I tried a few episodes of this show and couldn’t get into it. But, I had just come off of binging the remake of Dynasty (which I loved!) so maybe my head was still with the Carringtons. I’ll give it another go, everyone I talk to loves it.

  10. Dara says:

Can’t wait!! After I realized there really is no hero in this story, only villains, I was hooked. I can alternately despise, cheer for, admire, pity or loathe any and all of these twisted, broken creatures at any given moment.

During S1, I wanted to so badly to root for Shiv, but she quickly revealed herself as just as power hungry and Machiavellian as the rest. She initially seemed smarter than her brothers, but she flew too close to the sun. Her attempt to out maneuver Geri was worst mistake she’ll ever make. Geri is smarter than all of them combined.

      • Dara says:

Right? Shiv is just so very bad at all the intrigue and doesn’t even realize it. Geri kicks ass without even trying very hard.

Holly Hunter’s character nailed it when she told Logan exactly what she thought of his kids. Kendall has all the tools but doesn’t know how to use them, Shiv isn’t as smart as she thinks she is, and Roman could be great but has a very long way to go.

  11. Elon's Sink says:

There isn’t a single likable character in this show and I’m rooting for no one. I LOVE it!!!! Can’t wait for it to be back!

    • Saba says:

Yes!!! Movies and TV are often forced to have ‘likeable characters’. Nonsense.

This is a show about awful people with all the privilege and power in the world. It’s quite entertaining to watch them destroy each other for it.

It’s a nice change from bad things happening to good people.

  12. The Voice says:

I love/hate this show. They’re all so terrible and who I root for keeps changing. Sometimes I feel really dumb when I watch it bc a lot will have been said but I have no f’ing clue what just happened! Yet I keep coming back for more.

  13. Lucy2 says:

    Can’t wait!
