Rihanna of course sounded like a strangled frog as usual, shakira had like a million backup dancers doing the left overs from the 'single-ladies' choreographer. Suprisingly enough though lady gaga had the best performance. who knew she could sing so well? also, why didn't the fcc get at rihanna's outfit? one wrong move and something would have slid right out of place and onto our tv screens alicia & j.lo were good for a few laughs. So I watched the whole thing, stopping on a few performances and other chunks, in about ten minutes. So, sans boring crap parts, what I gleaned was: Rhianna's got a killer ass, loved the stripes, Nicole is pretty, gaga is bizarre yet right on the money with the performance, Kate's dress was a bad choice, Taylor Swift was gracious, and Michael Jackson still won't really go away. How many more awards shows is Janet going to lipsynch to? I'm really just tired of her. I would love it if she would go away and make another, different, record and stop it with the fake singing. Gaga makes a fair portion of the others look like hacks. She can belt it like a damn steamroller.
