First off: Love the stockings.

Second: The girl is 16 and does dress mature for her age but she’s at an age where most girls would love to experiment with their own style. So far I haven’t read any reports about her being stoned or sloppy drunk or about her banging the entire defensive line so let her experiment with her style.

She has something that many others in her situation do not: a sense of personal style.

As the mother of a now 25 year old daughter, I was so over-protective of her that it stunted her maturity and ability to make decisions for herself. If I had known that playing around with her wardrobe or wearing makeup was as bad as it would get, I would have been thrilled for her to do it.

Ms. Momsen will, no doubt, be a stunning young woman and all the experimentation will soon give way to maturity.

As for “bratty”, give the girl a hand. At 16, she’s doing what comes naturally.

Peach, I am with you! I was bratty and always tried to dress slutily when I was her age (despite my strict parents and wholesome upbringing!). My argument against my parents when I was that age was why does it matter how I look? I am not doing drugs, I am doing my homework and get good grades, what will change if I just dress differently? Personally, I hate her style, clothes and make-up but seriously, clothes don’t make a train-wreck, behaviour does.

When a 16-year-old is so desperate for a screw that she has to advertise for it like a common hooker, something is horribly wrong. I was initially going to wonder out loud if she was raised by wolves, but it occurred to me that wolves carry themselves with far more dignity than this little joke of a person.

To all of you saying that young girls watch Gossip girl… Trust me watch it and how Taylor dresses will be the least of your worries! The show is not for really young girls, everyone that I know that watches it is well over 20 years old.
