The Go Naked Then Wear fur PETA campaigns have crossed over from somewhat tastefully nude-but-with-a-purpose Ads to Playboy spreads. No one takes these Ads seriously anymore. And why is this lady nude anyway (even if she has a lovely figure), this is about adopting animals not wearing fur.

The first thing I thought when I saw this ad is she looks like she’s stepping on those poor dogs heads.
Second…well…Frankly she’s pissed off the Catholic Church. And remember back in LA years ago when they were all, “Let the gangs battle it out and kill eachother off?”
Well I’d like the Catholic Church to do that with PETA. Deathmatch: On. I dislike both institutions. I’d like to see a long bloody battle where they both call out eachother on how messed up they are:
“You touch alter boys” (Church)
“You exploited the Halucaust” (Peta)
“You tortured people for no reason and burned women alive” (Church)
“You euthanize a ton of pets, and while opposing animal testing, you’re leaders use animal derived medication” (Peta)
Oh please. Let the fireworks begin. Oh let them tear eachother’s eyes out.

I love animals and try to donate as often as possible to my local shelter and the ASPCA, but I will never give a dime to PETA. They’re all about attention and controversy, not the cause.

Yeah….my first reaction was… sacreligious? And I don’t care for organized religion. PETA has long been jumping on the Trash, attention-seeking bandwagon and as an on-again-off veg, I duck my head with most things having to do with them. As a Christian I am offended and I’m usually not offended by much. I am a very open person but to cover her parts with a cross?! I’m sorry but any religious symbol should not be used in this manner. Can I adopt the animals that PETA deems unadoptable and are in line to be euthanized? Because I totally will.
For my speech class 3 years ago my topic was animal rights, which quickly turned into a “how crazy PETA is” speech. But, while researching local adoption agencies, I did adopt my Chico baby! He is so the love of my life, and even got to go to class for my last speech.

If she had some clothes on, I would LOVE this ad because as a Christian animal rights activist, I would adore an ad that reminds people who profess to be Christian of the divine mandate for good stewardship.

Pope Bennie is probably kicking around the idea of EXCOMMUNICATION about now. Ms. Krupa should have used better judgment. If she wanted to pose nude for PETA that’s her business; however, the use of Christian symbolism offends the most liberal of Christians regardless of her good intentions. Freedom of artistic expression is a wonderful thing but in this case it was not tempered with “spiritual wisdom”.

Nudity works for the whole idea of not wearing fur… it’s still absurd, sure. It’s not like anyone is facing a decision between fur and nakedness, truly. But nudity=animal adoption? I have a sneaky feeling that if I showed up at the shelter naked they wouldn’t just hand over a pet. They’d probably call the authorities.
The cross is downright offensive, and they knew it would be. I mean, the folks driving the PETA campaigns are nuts, but they’re not actually brain dead. They knew.
