He took two marginally .... and I mean MARGINALLY talented daughters and made millions. I can't abide the guy (or his daughters) but he has managed to make them relevant even though they don't do anything well other than sell tabloids. Now if you want to analyze his abilities as a father, that's a whole other kettle of fish ... sure, he's made millions, but at what cost to his kids and their personal lives? Way to go, Joe. I don't think they're failures, they've both had SOME success in the entertainment industry. However, I never thought either had the talent to back up their level of fame. Rather than letting them naturally gain popularity, make albums, etc, he pushed both of them for more and more fame (and probably cost Jess her marriage) with all the reality shows and endorsements and everything, and overexposure turns people off. If anyone's the failure, it's him - he's a lousy manager and should have put their careers in the hands of professionals, and just been happy being their dad. One of the things that really lowers Joe in my estimation is that he has encouraged his daughters at such young ages to reconstruct themselves into some plastic Hollywood ideal.
