Gisele Bundchen has a baby boy

"The Model As Muse: Embodying Fashion" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals
Gisele Bundchen has given birth to a baby boy. It’s the first child for Brazilian supermodel Gisele, 29, and her husband of a little over nine months, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, 32. Brady also has a two year old son, John Edward (nicknamed Jack), from a previous relationship to actress Bridget Moynahan. People is bringing us the news, so it’s likely to be accurate and double-checked. They don’t have the name of the baby yet, which is what I’m most interested in. Are they going to give the little one an inventive name and will it be potentially stimatizing? That’s always a question with these celebrity births.

As we covered last week, Tom learned the sex of the baby ahead of time, but Gisele chose not to know. That may have delayed their choice of names. They’re private people, though, so it’s also possible they’re trying to keep as many details to themselves as possible. We don’t even know the date of birth or weight or anything.

There’s another Brady in the bunch.

Sources tell PEOPLE that Gisele Bündchen and husband Tom Brady welcomed a baby boy. Details of the birth and the baby’s name have not been disclosed.

Bündchen, 29, and New England Patriots quarterback Brady, 32, were married in a private ceremony in February in Los Angeles. In April, they held a follow-up wedding for friends and family at Bündchen’s Costa Rican estate.

The child is the first for the Brazilian supermodel. Brady has a 2-year-old son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Brady had said earlier this month that he was aware of the baby’s gender, but that Bündchen preferred not to know.

“She’s a very intelligent woman,” he said. “I wanted to find out and she didn’t, so she said, ‘Go ahead.’ It will be a surprise for her.”

[From People]

Congratulations to Tom and Gisele on their new arrival! I doubt we’ll be seeing official photos of the baby anytime soon, considering how tight security was at their wedding. You never know, though. Parenthood really changes you and can makes you want to share your joy with the world.

    Congratulations!

    What else can one say?

Oh well, let’s just hope that the child doesn’t inherit its daddy’s non-existent personality, nor its dear mommie’s nose.

Ah, it feels so right to be nice…

Whatever. These two are so boring and lack personalities to the extent that it’s the first time I’ve read anything about them in more than 6 months, and I’m so painfully bored already.

They kind of resemble each other.

Tho, he’s a more attractive guy, I think, than she is a beautiful woman.

Her super model status appeal leaves me puzzled. I just don’t see it.

I’m glad their baby is healthy. Don’t really care much for them as a couple or anything interesting though. Love Gis’ shoes though!

    congratulations to them.
is it just me or it’s actually a good thing that they’re “boring”?
whenever we see people who*ing their babies, family and lives out there, everybody’s ready to jump and hate on them… but when 2 people try and protect what’s left of their privacy, they’re boring?
Christ, alright then…if only more celebs were this boring.

Congratulations to the new parents! He is going to be a tall kid! I bet he will be athletic too.

I think we will see a picture. They have a place in the West Village and my friend always sees Gisele walking to and from Whole Foods in the neighborhood. She seems very low key about the whole celebrity thing and probably wouldn’t make a big deal about a random picture or two.

Man, some people are joyless, aren’t they.

There is no reason to think that Jack will be treated any differently than he was before. There are a lot of non-nuclear families these days, and most of them make it work. There’s no call to hate on a baby just because you don’t like something its parent did three years ago, either…

  21. Madelyn Rose says:

Congratulations to Tom and Gisele – I cannot wait to see the new baby! They are both just gorgeous, so no doubt the baby will be gorgeous as well. I don’t think I have ever heard anyone call Tom Brady feminine looking, as one poster did above…I don’t see that at all! He is all man! Whew!

And I agree with you all that said it is refreshing to see a so-called “boring” couple. Thank God they aren’t adopting 5 kids in one year, porking Vegas show girls, shooting heroin, etc.!

  23. Rosanna says:

Have you read with Bridget the byatch said about the baby? She called him “half-sibling” of her son. Technically, she is right. However, I bet that if the “half-sibling” had been HER son (or daughter) she would have called him “sibling” instead. BM is WAY overrated.

Well, I really hope she’ll be happy as a “housewife” so she’ll retire her horse face from modelling. Kinda sick of her and her reddish/orangey skin and her 12-year-old-boy-with-implants physique ruining my magazines. :)

Now, seriously, I’ve always found her such an one trick pony. High fashion or comercial, “sexy” is her only act. And it gets old and boring. Maybe it’s because I really don’t like “models” who make entire careers out of selling underwear and “sexy”. I think it’s time for some new fresh faces, with more versatility.

I love wager on horses. It allows me to put a wager on horses from the comfort of my own home. Don’t get me wrong, I also love going to the race tracks to get the all-around experience. Forutunately for me I’ve had good lucky recently and I made money on “Mine That Bird” during last Kentucky Derby.

  29. Gwyneth says:

Gisele Bundchen is NOTHING compared to former supermodels Jean Shrimpton especially, and Maud Adams, who became a Bond girl. Shrimpton is the fairest of all the supermodels of all time. Bundchen’s face without makeup is so ordinary.
