It seems like every week we do a post on some crazy outfit she’s worn. Sometimes I really appreciate her style – she’s young, she’s beautiful, she’s got a great figure, and she can pull off certain looks that other women just can’t. Maybe I’m just pissed off that I’m currently facing a foot of snowfall over the course of the next two days, but Rihanna and this outfit are really pissing me off. I get it! You’re in Miami. It’s warm enough to wear half a catsuit. Bitch, I’ve got two pairs of socks on!
Forget the Colts and Saints: Rihanna gave fans at the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam in Miami, Florida a reason to cheer Thursday night, when she took the stage in a single-shoulder, single-leg, black and white catsuit that amplified her exotic sex appeal.
The 21-year-old Barbadian beauty’s high forehead was complemented by a wild blonde hairdo, as she launched into hits such as Wait Your Turn, Disturbia and Russian Roulette. The unique look was reportedly put together by her stylists, Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi.
Monday marks the one-year anniversary of the singer’s brutal beating at the hands of her ex, R&B singer Chris Brown, who was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to 180 days of community labor as part of the plea deal he made; a restraining order against Brown orders him to keep his distance from Rihanna for five years.

Okay, it’s the anniversary. I get it. I still want her to cover up. And who is designing these outfits for her? Elie Saab did that wedding dress she wore to the Oscars. Victor & Rolf did that fug monstrosity she wore to the pre-Grammy party. So who designed a catsuit with white piping, and only one arm and one leg? Dr. Seuss?

We’re supposed to get three inches in TN. I went sledding for the first time since I was a kid last weekend. I have to admit, I’m loving the cold-we haven’t had a good winter since my high-school years.
Oh, and Rihanna’s style is crazy but she gets a pass on it…Any one that handled the stuff she went through in 2009 has permission to dress as she pleases-at least when she shows something it’s on purpose. No wardrobe malfunctions, etc.
I like it. Works for me as an effective and interesting performance costume. Oh, and she’s “Bajan” (someone from Barbados).
I like what Lainey Gossip said about her clothes. basically, you can’t judge Rihanna’s outfits based on what a regular person would wear, you just have to compare them to based on what other crazy things she wears.
Using that method, I think this outfit is ok
this girl either has the worst stylist that ever lived or the worst taste in clothing or both. she looks more ridic every time i see her.
I think she watched Lady Gaga take over the pop princess crown and sees that wacko outfits and hair get a lot more attention than just music alone. She always used to dress a little funky, but lately it’s totally crazy.

i agree with lucy…she was always edgy and cute before, but now she looks like a joann fabric’s version of lady gaga. she’s trying way too hard with the geometric stuff and it’s just…blah.

@ Mark- Thanks but I’m far from boring, as far as fashion goes, a lot of it(runway) is ridicuous and I think that it is totally unwearable. You’re right it does keep it alive, but that doesn’t mean she needs to wear something like this. She is not Cher, she cannot get away with anything.

Rihanna isn’t “getting away” with it. She’s been wearing some truly fugly clothes that detract from what used to be a beautiful face and body. Now she’s just tacky, starting at the top with that freakish orange rooster/Kate Gosselin thing and ending at her feet, which are almost always in some hideous shoes/boots. Her makeup is almost always one notch past creepy lately, sliding her ever closer to looking like Cathy, the lady from the Drew Carey show.
Even off-stage, her fashion sense is a huge suck. There’s a difference between cutting-edge fashion and just wearing ugly clothes.
I won’t even go into the horror that is the outfits she wears in her videos.
Ditto @ snowball; I’ve noticed more and more lately that, before the ‘incident’, she was cute, sexy and daring…now, she seems like a desperate caricature of herself–and it worries me. I don’t think she’s coping well at ALL. The outfits, hair and footwear are getting crazier—-who was it that said (something like), your outside reflects your inside?

Well, all Rihanna really has going for her is her looks. She can’t sing for sh*t. I mean, for all intents and purposes she is completely tone deaf. She is a gorgeous woman, and she rocks the ridiculous fashion. I think this outfit is fun and sexy. No one can pull this stuff off quite like she can! She really should just be a model and quit trying to have a singing career.

Personally, I think her fashion choices are tragic. Just as tragic as her need to try to be opposite Beyonce. Yet, I applaud her for looking different and taking risks. Too many young black starlets look completely generic with their weaves all looking the same. It’s horrid.

Listen folks, when it comes to fashion and weight everyone cannot be judged by the same standards. What is good for Rihanna may not be good for the average person to wear on a daily basis. She is an Entertainer. The wacky outfits/style is meant to entertain and for her to stand out from the rest. If everyone dressed/weighed/looked the same, life would be a fuckin bore.

I am not saying that Rihanna should be compared to Whitney Houston, but coming from an all girl group that was manipulated by her family which as a result put her front and center for everything works great doesn’t it? I’m sorry but shaking your ass and having a fan blowing my hair on stage is not great performance and that’s just what Beyonce does. She might be ‘nice’ to look at but she does not have anything that makes her stand out as a singer, actress, performer or designer. She’s just jumping on the wagon like everyone else in the business has. She’s actually like JLo but without the diva attitude.
That said Rihanna is not known to be a great singer either but she is able to pull this off and I rather see her than boring Beyonce who is always wearing hideous outfits made by her mother
