Quick little story: My mom and I often gossip about random celebrities, and I’m consistently surprised at which ones interest her. So she called me last Friday and asked me breathlessly, “What is happening between Kourtney Kardashian and That Douche?” Apparently, she heard on the radio or something that Scott Disick and Kourtney had called it quits or were about to call it quits, so just wanted a confirmation from me. I honestly didn’t have one. True, there was a lot of negative stuff about Scott and Kourtney last week – including an In Touch Weekly cover story about Scott being “the boyfriend from hell” and an interview Scott did in which he tried to defend himself while gently disrespecting Kourtney’s mom. When I told my mom that nothing had been confirmed, my mom muttered, “I hope Khloe smacks him again.” Yes. My mom watches the Kardashian shows.

Anyway, I’d love it if Kourtney and Scott broke up, just because, you know, they’re going to at some point, so why not now? Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’s happening any time soon. Kourtney and Scott made a public outing in Las Vegas over the weekend (photos above and below), and Kourtney is still talking about how Scott is her “partner.” Barf.

With one smooch (and then another and another) in Vegas on Friday, Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Scott Disick put to rest rumors of the couple’s demise.

The pair have been under fire since reports surfaced that Disick, the father of Kardashian’s 9-week-old son, Mason, had been unfaithful. The rumors, Kardashian said, couldn’t be further from the truth.

When asked if she is laughing off the rumors, she told PEOPLE exclusively, “Yes, of course. You can’t take it too seriously.”

“Scott is my partner and we do everything together,” Kardashian said before entering Las Vegas’s Jet Nightclub.

And if they are in any kind of turmoil, you wouldn’t know it from their visit to the club, which was hosting a fashion show by Dash, the clothing store she owns with her sisters. After strolling in hand in hand and kissing for reporters, the couple headed to a VIP table. There, they were spotted smooching throughout the night while Disick continually touched Kardashian’s leg.

While in Vegas, Kardashian and Disick left Mason in the care of her family, but that didn’t stop the doting mother from keeping tabs on her son via her cell phone and picture messaging.

“I’m like, ‘What is he doing? What is he wearing? Send me pictures,’ ” she said. “I’ve only left him to go to dinner twice.”

My mom thinks Kourtney should dump him and raise the Mason Dixon as a single mother, with help from her family. My mom has it all figured out, doesn’t she? I can’t believe she cares so much, but she was telling me how Khloe is her favorite of (her words) “those skanky little girls.” I was so amazed.

By the way, regarding the whole Scott Disick-as-Patrick-Bateman thing. It’s really strong in these photos, isn’t it? The dead eyes, the pinstripe-on-pinstripe men’s fashions (gag) and the whole “I’m a yuppie serial killer” vibe. He’s so disgusting. I honestly can’t even stand to look at his face for more than a few seconds. Regarding Kourtney… she looks cute, but she’s wearing way too much makeup.
