I hate to say it, but I think Kristen Stewart might have been one of the best dressed women at the BAFTAs. I know, I know, she gives off the snotty, bratty, Gwyneth Paltrow-vibe. But the girl still rocks the frocks, and I loved this simple strapless cocktail dress that is both appropriate for the occasion and for Kristen’s young age.
Carey Mulligan is one of my worst dressed, just because she did the exact opposite of Kristen. Carey aged herself terribly with this disaster, and Carey hasn’t yet learned that however beautiful the detailing of this dress was, it gets totally lost on a red carpet, and in photographs. Instead, it just looks matronly and dull, and not unlike an IKEA shower curtain.
Let’s move on to one of the hot guys, shall we? Here’s Jonathan Rhys Meyers… mmm. He came with his girlfriend Reena (dammit!) and this was one of the few non-crazy-eyed photo I found of him. He looks good, doesn’t he?
And here’s Clive Owen. Sigh… I don’t really have anything to say other than “Thank you Jesus.”
Just because it’s funny, let’s have Robert Pattinson next, right after Clive Owen. Sparkles McVadge-Hater was working a new hair style last night, which leaves me cold. I guess he’s trying to grow out his hair, maybe? Or was this little-boy/wet-look hair always lurking around? He looks about 12 years old:
I don’t get Kate Winslet’s dress at all. It looks very cheap to me, and I’m so disappointed. She rocked the red carpets last awards season, and it’s like she’s trying too hard this year to be non-descript.
Speaking of non-descript, Claire Danes. God, I hate this nude/beige/pale silver movement in fashion. Those colors wash out 90% of women, and Claire is not one of the lucky 10% who look fabulous in that color.
Here’s Colin Firth with his wife Livia. She looks thrilled, right? Buck up, Livia! You’re married to one of the most fabulous men on earth!
I didn’t even recognize Guy Pierce at first. He looks good, though. Sigh… I love him. One of the most talented and underrated actors ever. His shaved head looks awesome!
Saoirse Ronan is such a pretty little thing. I kind of think this dress is too much for her, but she’s so pretty, I’ll forgive it.
Prince William is looking very James Bond in his tux. And despite the recent controversy over whether or not he’s dying his hair, he looks pretty good.
Okay, I’m done! I’m sure I forgot a bunch of people (like British star David Morrissey, who is yum), but those are all the big names. Not so great fashion, but lots of good-looking men!

That’s it! I’m convinced. Kate Winslet has had something done to her face. Every pic I’ve seen of her in the past week, she looks “refreshed”.
I think it’s injectables and botox. Something with her cheekbones and eyes for sure.

re: Pattinson…yeah, the hair looks like he didn’t have time to style it – like he just jumped out of the shower. but what REALLY needs work on him? the EYEBROWS! they need some serious grooming. meh, I’d still hit it.
re: Kristen Stewart…I don’t get the Paltrow-goopy-snotty vibe from her. what I think it is is a combo of her smoking up (I’ve heard she likes the MaryJane) and insecurity.
I think it’s more of a “I feel like I’m WAY out of my element” rather than “I’m SO above this crap”. The way she’s standing says it all.
I hate the way Kristen Stewart poses. It makes her arms look flabby and chunky and makes her body look boxy and square.

And I LOVE Carey Mulligan’s dress, but I think her hair cut & colour need to go. She appears ill-proportioned above the neck.
Kristen’s dress is so boring IMHO. If she is going to habitually forgo accessories, at least pick an interesting hairstyle or dress shape. Jeez.

I liked Carey Mulligan’s dress, but it would look better on someone curvier. plus the pixie cut REALLY looks bad in blonde. And is that really Claire Danes? Yeesh.

It made her looke like a sausage, the upper part of her body especially her arms appear fett. The hair dirty and not for Red Carpet. She must have hit the bong before going there.

Kate is almost completely unrecognisable. I think it is something far more drastic than injectables – she used to have a very strong romanesque nose and now – she looks like everyone else. She injected something into her lips as well (slightly ducky) and her eyes are very slanted. And I hate her peach hair colour. Bitchy enough? I think I am ragging on her so much because I used to think she was gorgeous and unique.

I think the Kate picture might be because of a camera angle and her cocking her eyebrow at someone. If you look at her with Colin Firth in the ‘winners and losers’ BAFTA post, she looks much more like herself-nose and all.

I think that Kate Winslet was just toning it down so as not to take away the focus from the nominees; this is their moment not hers. Also, I think she’s had a really great facial not Botox or work done. Her skin looks rejuvenated to me.
I like Carey Mulligan’s dress. It would have been better if it was not split down the front though; the piece underneath is totally distracting. It would have been a much better esthetic if the dress was a simple gown.
Also, the too blonde hair is totally wrong on her.
Kristen Stewart looks like she was rolled in ace bandages and sprinkled with glitter from Micheals crafts.
I watched it on TV and both Carey Mulliagan and Claire Danes looked amazing when they were presenting, their dresses looked beautiful and flowing as they were walking across the stage, but they look so different in these photographs.

I love Kristen but that was not one of her better outfits. She looked like a deer in headlights most of the night poor thing. A bit out of her league and i think she knew it. She was very gracious and humble accepting her award anyway.

Kristen Stewart always looks like she’s a poster child for Prozac or Zoloft. No expression. Perhaps she’s uncomfortable at these events, but it’s her bread and butter. Maybe she’s a sweet girl, but she always looks as miserable at cat s**t. Also, as far as Robert looking like a 12 year old, he doesn’t. He looks his age. He’s up and coming and in the end, will have a great career.
K-Stew looks very uncomfortable. I don’t get a snotty vibe from her, more that she is very uncomfortable with the whole celeb thing. She will have to get used to it if she wants to stay in the entertainment business.
Cary M looked awful. I hate the dress and I hate the hair, although the new colour looks better than the boring brown.
John RM looks hot there. So does my crush Clive Owen. God I love that man. I was watching him in The International the other night and he looked absolutely gorgeous. I noticed his hair was dyed for that role too, so see people, Brad Pitt isn’t the only male actor to dye his hair for a role.

rob is hot…it doesn’t matter if his hair is wet, dry or whatever…he’s hot. The beauty of it is that he has no idea that he is.
