Christina Hendricks wears unfortunate trash bag dress to Oscar parties

wenn2767319

It’s no secret that I adore Christina Hendricks. I love this girl with a passion. But I have begun to loathe her style. There has only been one event where her style was perfection over this awards season, and unfortunately, it wasn’t last night. Christina and her husband were invited to the Elton John party, and this is what Christina wore. I mean, yikes. This is something that is likely hanging in Mariah Carey’s closet – only Mimi has it in pink, lavender and sparkles. And the bottom of it shines like an actual trash bag! Oh, Christina, if you continue to dress like this, you know where you’ll end up? At the Oscars!

What is going on with the 80’s prom dress revival. It needs to stop.

  2. mollyb says:

On the plus side, her hair and make-up look wonderful.

  3. EMV says:

It looks like it should have either been longer or shorter. The length is funky. Also, it should have been paired with different accesories and shoes.

  4. scotchy says:

it just seems really outdated but you are right mollyb,
    she looks fantastic.

  5. Deven says:

It’s like none of these women have ever seen beautiful, flattering clothes before. Therefore, they can’t tell the difference when they have to select good for them or bad. They’re a little like magpies picking the shiny thing.

  6. mila says:

Oh dear. Such a shame. She’s incredibly beautiful and sexy but this dress is fugly.

  7. Aviatrix says:

    Cankles anyone?

  8. Scarlet Vixen says:

I think that maybe Hollywood stylists just don’t know how to dress her shape. The Rachel Zoes of the world are used to styling human hangers. They don’t know what to do with boobs…

  9. Gwen says:

Close to perfection though.. if we could cut of the puffy whatever it is.

  10. coucou says:

OMG, why why why…she is gorgeous, man, if i were her, i’d say EXCUSE ME, no thanks, and go to Ross and find something on the sale’s rack better than this piece of shiny sh!t. Hideous, simply hideous.

  11. Alecto says:

i’m sorry but as a naturally big busted girl myself she’s got too much hanging out the top. the side boob is not attractive

  12. Linda says:

Oh, I think it’s beautiful. The girl with Quentin Tarantino is another story though. Ugh!

  13. hater from siloam springs says:

That’s actually a great dress until it turns into a muffin top around mid-thigh. She should have gone with something a little less poofy and a little more, um, classic. I guess.

  14. Mirdeb says:

Christina, looks fantastic as usual, sometimes the beauty shines from within…

  15. Maritimer says:

Just Curious, are we sure those are real? I mean no disrespect…it is just that they are so disproportionally big.

Anyhow, do agree, she does look absolutely beautiful from the hula hoop up.

It is so funny to see how different someone’s taste can be. In my opinion, some of these dresses from last night are so heinous, but these women chose them because they sincerely thought they looked great (no one sets out to look like a garbage bag).

    To each their own….

  16. Kim says:

Her boob job is HEDIOUS! I hate when ugly women get big boobs and flaunt them to cover up for their lack of beauty or talent.

  17. Chana says:

I’m fairly certain that they are real. They certainly move like real breasts and she’s a curvy gal, not a skinnie minnie. Some of us are just genetically blessed with big ta-tas without need for surgery. You can pretty much tell they are real because of the boob fat that has created a tiny pocket near her armpit. I can definitely get my breasts to look like that just by squishing them into the right tops and I usually get that “extra boob” spilling out the sides.

The dress is 80s prom. Stop this trend, please.

  18. john doe says:

Honestly with cans like that is anyone really looking at her dress?

  19. john doe says:

And her husband is the luckiest nerd in the world.

  20. Mairead says:

Did – did someone just call her ugly? 😯

But jaysis, that dress sure is!

  21. Mouse says:

Not diggin’ the dress, but she still looks gorgeous. Unfortunate dress, but hair and make up look fab!

  22. snapdragon says:

her body is amazing. that is all.

  23. Ruffian9 says:

    Kim: Um…for real?

Anyways…I think she is absolutely gorgeous…and I think you may have a point, Scarlet Vixen. Designers/stylists are size zero oriented. I don’t think they know quite what to do with such stunning curves. They need to learn, pronto. She’s beyond Hollywood beautiful.

  24. Oi says:

    Boobs not even…

  25. ThunderC*nt says:

Really? You want a real set of natural bazoongas with a better face than this, with a 5 foot 2 inch height in proportion? Just gonna start posting myself on my website more. Really! My God, please come and see ME. Whenever I post pics, the site goes nuts. Are you listening angry faced Sara from the Johny Weir post?

  26. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I like Mad Men, she’s great on it and is very beautiful. That said, would it freaking kill her to just cover up once in a while? I’m probably alone in thinking that this is getting WAAAAAAY beyond lame. I’m all for representing all kinds of women, heck I’ve got the same figure as her (except I’m much, much shorter), so you’re seeing me vent my jealousies here. I’m not a terribly prudish person, but I can’t take her ‘I didn’t know my body was different’ line seriously when she advertises it like it’s a ‘Going Out of Business’ sale.

For fun: Put down the push-up and pick up a T-shirt once in while– you know, for variety. Hmm, maybe I’m the lame one.

  27. Maritimer says:

    I see your point Mama-Bee.
I wonder, though, if she may feel like she looks a little heavier when she doesn’t show her neckline and she is all covered up? Just thinking out loud here. Maybe I am wrong but I’ve heard others with similar bodies same the same.

Queen Latifa knows how to cover up (very, very good taste in dresses), and she has big boobs & a bangin’ body as of late too.

  28. ViktoryGin says:

Yeah, the breast-ploitation is getting long in the tooth.

  29. annie says:

With a name like ThunderC*nt how could you be anything but beautiful!

  30. CB Rawks says:

Ah, I see! That’s a definite scroll-down fug. The bottom of the dress makes you do an audible “gah!!” noise.
Yes, not good for anybody. I banish that dress.

  31. Lindsay says:

I have naturally big boobs as well somewhere between Jessica and Christina and if you are too covered up it can make you look heavy in photos. At least all she is fighting is her chest, I am petite so I tend to look bigger and oddly proportioned. She could raise the neckline a bit as long as she keeps it tight right below them and cinches the waist – emphasize her beautiful hourglass figure. But it is her choice.

I do wonder how the majority of people on the internet can agree on best and worst dressed and with so many opinions still have an almost consensus and the actress and those around them think it is perfect.

ThunderC*nt – what is your site?

  32. Milan says:

Christina’s boobs are real. But a girl like her can’t pull off bombastic clothes. She’s too va va voom by herself, thus if you put a dress on her that has too much going on, it feels like a constant competition and you don’t know what to look at. With a chest like hers and those hips and that ass, she needs to go for less showy dresses and more classic cuts. she’s like an aston martin, she doesn’t need 24 inch rims, or racing stipes or more dvd players in the car, she’s perfect just as she is.

    I’m with you!
I actually like the dress and how it accentuate the curve, the off thing will be the puffy fabric, overall she looks gorgeous ^^

  34. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

My bad, I meant to say ‘not venting jealousies’. I used to be envious of height, but was a long time ago.

I entirely sympathize with those who say that a waist can be obliterated by sheer force of unfitted clothing. If I don’t find something that fits properly I tend to look like a sack of potatoes. Still, I’m more interested in her great talent than in her ‘talents’. Oh well.
