Okay, I’ve waited long enough for Star Magazine to put this week’s cover story online, and they still won’t give it me, so I’m just going to make up my own story to go with what I think (hope) the cover story is. It seems to be all about those rumors that Katie was/is undergoing “intense auditing” by the Church of Scientology in preparation for her second pregnancy. Star even chose a photo of Katie looking a bit pregnant, although that’s not hard to do. She’s been “looking pregnant” off and on for a year. I’m starting to think she’s just a really bloaty girl with bad posture.
Anyway, Star gives us some clues about the story on the over. Katie is apparently going to be getting pregnant for the second time “against her will”. Which, in my mind, means “rape.” Which shouldn’t be splashed around tabloid covers just for the sheer tabloid trash of it all, even if it is “raped psychologically by Xenu.” Star’s headlines continue: Katie’s “prenatal Scientology sessions” and “agonizing detox” and “Tom tightens the leash”. All of this sounds really scary, right? And like it could be true.
You know what this reminds me of? Rosemary’s Baby. I’ve been thinking about that film for days now, ever since it was included in the Horror montage at the Oscars. I saw it first when I was in college, and it freaked my sh-t out. I came into the film knowing basically what it was about, but the first part - which is just like a hippie-dippy 1970s relationship movie lulled me into a fake comfort, and then, BAM! SPOILER: She gets raped by the devil. Cue terror. Do you think this has ever occurred to Katie? Like, she’s just sitting around and all of a sudden she’s like, “Holy crap, I’m being psychologically raped by Xenu, and it’s like Rosemary’s Baby for the 21st century!”
Anyway, there are some new photos of Katie shopping where she looks a little pregnant (once again, she often looks like that). We don’t have access to them, but you can see them at X17. Here are a couple more where Katie looks weird:
Eh, she doesn’t look that bad here. But notice how she’s trying to keep her purse in front of her stomach.

I love a good Xenu story as much as the rest, but right now, I can’t help but feel for Katie. I am afraid that one day, she is just going to totally crack.

I think this is so sad. Katie has said she dreamed of marrying Tom Cruise when she was younger; I guess that falls under “be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.” But I bet in her dreams, she wasn’t a prisoner of Xenu and Scientology and Tom. And she certainly doesn’t look happy at the prospect of having another baby. She’s crazy-skinny; it took her a while to lose the baby weight from Suri (how nice to see some women in Hollywood have the same problem we women in the real world experience); and I just don’t think she wants to have another baby with Tom (and Xenu and the rest of the Scientologists) right now, or maybe ever.

I probably wouldn’t harp on them so much except Katie always looks so drained and exhausted and miserable. She has a lovely young daughter, a (supposedly) happy marriage to a superstar, all the money in the world and she walks around looking like it was all she could do to drag herself out of bed. She seems like she needs help.

FYI “intense auditing” and “agonizing detox” would be against anyone’s will. Most folk don’t volunteer for intense and agonizing anything.

Oh no…one clone/genetically manipulated “moonchild” is enough! It’s bad enough what poor little Suri is almost certainly going through, but I suppose they want more. Seriously though, Scientology is a satanic cult and LRH was obsessed with creating the “moonchild”, just like his idol Aleister Crowley (sp?) so there is NO WAY IN HELL that all this breeding is not for some type of cult crap. Maybe Suri isn’t enough, maybe they need a boy?
Oh, and don’t waste your time wondering why Katie goes along with any of this….she’s PROGRAMMED TO. Duh. She will never leave of her own free will, because she has no free will. It’s sad, horrifying and highly, HIGHLY disturbing what you find out when you just research this crap a little bit….and all you can do is pray for them, even though it likely won’t do any good.

She seems to be one of those people who wear their feelings on their faces. During that whirlwind romance with Tom, you could see pure unadulterated joy through her eyes. The last few years, she’s lost that spark. I really believe she didn’t fully realize what she was really getting into when she married him.

Not only this, she used to take care of her wardrobe at the beginning of their relationship, playing all fashionista but now not so much. She is not even at her pr Tom level.
She looks lost and sad most of the times. No sparking eyes.
I think she has lost her youth too young, too soon with a man who was much older and experienced than she was while she was quite fresher and more innocent.
After all she had still that teeny vibe when she met him for the very first time and dated him. She actually called it quit with her ex, met and dated Tom and got pregnant, all of those in a three months span. Then married soon after.
It’s a little too much, too quick for a young woman in her twenties who had a few relationships with men her generation, who is childless, romantic, starstruck, much more unexperienced than her 40+ years old, experienced partner who is her elder of 17 years, a star, father of teen children.
She didn’t have time to grow into that relationship to match his maturity before make it final.

The one time recently that I recall her looking happy and vibrant at was a charity thing or something. No Tom, no Suri, just her wearing a very nice dress, although her hair was a mess. But she was laughing and looking young and relatively carefree.
The rest of the time, whether she’s with Tom or Suri, she does look exhausted. I wonder if Tom even lets her take vitamins because she looks sick a lot. Any belly pooch I blame on her having to slump down when standing next to her midget husband.

Nicole viewed Tom as a man, an equal partner. She fought to keep her individuality eventhough she put her career in between during her time with Tom. They found each other during the ‘Days of Thunder’ movie and fell in love while both being young (22 and 27 years old)
Katie was selected by Tom after Scarlett Johansson said no to his proposition when looking for a young fiancee. It was right after the infamous outburst at Oprah show.
Katie views Tom more like a pygmalion and a semi God and she views Suri as an intelligent WOMAN as she was once quoted.
That’s basicly the main difference bewteen them. One is from a woman who was 22 at the time and the second one is from a child woman who was 27 and who finally got a chance to date and marry the one she dreamt about when she was a little girl because he basicly selected her like some select a home in a special magazine.

They’re ALL programmed, but you have to keep in mind that not everyone is programmed by the same people, or for the same purpose. I am not sure why they would not have used Nicole for this, except that maybe the technology to create the moonchild (ie cloning, embryo implantation, etc) was not advanced enough back when they were married, or maybe Katie was better programmed to be more compliant, and is younger? Maybe there’s a genetic component? It could be many reasons, but remember that they DID adopt children together, and usually in those circumstances (creepy satanic cult, people with loads of money to hide their sins, etc) the adopted children are abused horribly. I have no proof of Conor and Isabella being abused and am not claiming that they are, just saying that it is EXTREMELY common under these and/or similar circumstances. So perhaps the Tom/Nicole marriage was just a warm-up to the main event? It’s all speculation really

I can’t help it - I think Suri is about the cutest little girl ever (after my own 2) and the open boots - I don’t get it either. I guess if you’re only in CA or on the Riviera it doesn’t make a diff but in the midwest they would be useless. It’s either raining or snowing or muddy.

Thanks nnn and whaaaatcha Say for the helpful info on Nic vs. Katie. I hadn’t thought about Nicole’s position in life at the time she met that Thing. Nicole’s maturity and somewhat equal status made all the difference. Just like a woman who is equal in financial and star power terms would never consent to be with Charlie Sheen, same thing applies to this robot. I wish Nicole would tell all, I would love to know about her kids with Tom. In an interview she hinted that there was a back-story regarding Bella’s adoption and she said that someday that story would be told or something like that.
Will you please elaborate on adopted kids being abused in situations like that? Do you mean people in cults adopt kids so that they can abuse them? I am interested in this, partly because this whole scientology freakness is fascinating.

I have another question. Does being a scientologist gets these people parts in movies or something? If this really is a cult like I read about and everyone says what benefit do these people gain from it? Or are they so brainwashed that even they don’t know? I mean Tom is a vociferous defender of it and so are other celebrities?

No matter what people think of him, them and scientology- Tom has 2 DAUGHTERS and the one thing that even THIS site cant accuse him of is not loving his kids completely and equally. These stories never go away- why don’t the tabs and those MORONS who believe everything they say remember that and wonder how Bella or Suri would feel if they saw this?

As for Katie looking sad -if people constantly said your husband was abusive-your child a brat - your marriage a contract and had people taking photos of you EVERYWHERE you went how happy would you be to see a camera? -
I’m so tired of all these “poor katie” stories. She’s a grown woman who made a choice. They’ve been together for nearly 5 years now, and don’t appear to be splitting anytime soon. Why can’t people just leave them alone? I understand that Scientology is a scary cult in many peoples’ eyes, but there are tons of Scientologists in hollywood. Why don’t you here these kind of stories about any of the other Sci stars? Jenna Elfman just had a second child. Was that “against her will”? It’s obvious that people just don’t like Tom, so put out stories like this are really crossingthe line.

@TG - I believe they’re told that being a Sciento (and giving them all their $) will make everything in their lives perfect, including their careers. The kind of sad/funny thing is, a lot of the people who have been long time members seem unhappy in their own lives and have a lot of issues. Which I guess is how they ended up there in the first place. Few of them seem to have flourishing careers. Katie’s was going along fine until she got involved with Tom, and since then it’s kind of been a dud. I think he always expected he’d turn her into an A-list leading lady by his sheer presence alone, but sorry Tommy, it ain’t happening.

Maya- I think people have a right not to like him. And Tom is a very visible person in the scientology and seems to be very high up and powerful so him choosing a robobride and kids might be more significant than two ordinary Hollywood scientologists. If I am not that important of a member of some cult they aren’t going to bother with me. Also, because some of the other scientologists are lesser known the paps and celebrity journalists don’t follow them so we don’t know what they are up to, maybe nothing, I don’t know. Just because someone isn’t being gossiped about doesn’t mean they aren’t up to shenanigans. I remember reading an interview with Leah Remini about her horribly bratty 3 or 5 year old (I can’t remember) who demanded to sleep in her parents bed and demanded multiple bottles of milk every night. She even admitted that you treat the child like a grown up and you don’t say no to them and that was why she was having those problems. This was in one of those weekly celeb mags.

Marion - what makes you an expert on how bella and suri feel? How do we know if he treats them equally? I don’t see enough pictures of of his older daughter to make that judgement. Unless you know them intimately you don’t know any more than we do. And if you do know them initmatley, you would probably be fiercely loyal, so of course you would defend him. We are arm chair speculators. And we have a right to our opinion as do you.

Actuelly Marion, Tom’s respect for women was questionned at least on TWO occasions.
Once when he had an affair with Nicole and went into a very public accusation of Mimi, his first wife as not being able to procreate implying that they had to call it quits mainly because of that twenty years ago.
And the second time around when he had the affair with Peneloppe Cruz and dumped Nicole soon after and refused to see her at the hospital as she supposdly misscarriaged their child saying that he didn’t beleived she was pregnant of their child and that she knew why they were getting a divorce and that he had no intention to meet her at the hospital though Nicole was publicly asking for him to see her.

TG, I never said that people don’t have the right to dislike Tom. I was simply pointing out that the tabs know people dislike him so they put out negative stories, because that’s what people want to hear. That’s how tabloids work, and I ususally don’t even comment on these stories. I just fealt that it was disgusting and innapropriate for Star to use this particular headline.
About other scientology stars not being followed: Well Kirstie Alley is actually featured on the cover tabs quite often, but you don’t hear these kinds of stories about her. Also, John Travolta and Kelly Preston are pretty big stars. If something like this was going on in their lives, I think it would be newsworthy. I do remember hearing stories about John being afraid that the church will release his secrets if he leaves, but we’ve certaintly never heard anything about John or Kelly being abused like Katie supposedly is. I just don’t understand why Katie would be treated so much worse than all these other Scientology stars. If anything, I would think that being such a high-profile star would mean that she would get better treatment. After all, imagine what would happen if she were talk to a reporter and tell them that she was being abused. The backlash that COS would get would be huge. -
Tom Cruise is the most famous $cientologist - he has gone out of his way to proselytize for the cult and has used his celebrity to raise its profile. And he has also chosen to discuss this “religion” when he is promoting his films. He had a very public courtship with Katie Holmes and courted the media attention during her pregnancy and the birth of the child.

Tom Cruise deserves whatever speculation the tabs can come up with. He set the rules when he publicly (on national television) speculated about Brooke Shields’ mental illness (or lack thereof), even though he didn’t have the slightest idea what he was babbling about.
IMO, if you’re going to publicly speculate about other people’s private medical/mental conditions that you know nothing about, then you give free rein to others to do the same about you.

She’s a big girl with A LOT of money and in most pics I see of them together they look happy. If she wanted to leave Tom she would. I don’t like Tom as an actor all that much but I don’t see the point in pulling in to pieces because of his religion.

I understand your point, but if you look at what Benny says about Tom going off on Brooke Shields and women in general regarding Postpartem depression. We have every right to cricize him. He has no respect for women and only apologized to Brooke because the media gave him hell. And if you see the numerous pics of Katie before she hooked up with this guy you will see a drastic, dramatic and downride bizarre change in her looks and none of it good.

I think the difference with Tom/Katie vs. other CoS couples is that the entire world watched Katie go from a seemingly happy and confident young woman into this Stepford wife who seemed to abandon her religion, her friends, and reportedly even her family for a while.

maybe “against her will” means tom made her stop taking birth control (if she was taking it), or only wants to have sex when she is fertile. tom probably just keeps telling her that he wants another baby, and then stomps his feet and whines.

I don’t feel sorry for her. Marrying Cruise made her a superstar…at least in the press and probably in her own mind. She’s just your run-of-the-mill so-so actress who ‘lucked out’ landing a big celebrity. She always looks miserable in photos, but she’s not a slave or chattel. If you’re not happy, Katie, develop some guts and get out of there. If you choose to stay for whatever reason, well, no sympathy from me.

Oh, wow, I feel so sorry for Katie Holmes, trapped in a multimillion dollar mansion with all the designer clothes she could ever want. Meanwhile, I’m stuck in a cockroach infested low-income apartment complex surrounded by drug dealers and just hoping not to get shot in the middle of the night. Here’s an idea: if Tom wants a woman who will do what he wants when he wants it, he should just drop Katie and marry me-I’m quiet, easy to please, and for that kind of money, would be willing to believe whatever he told me to. Plus, with the right amount of cosmetic work, I could look at LEAST as good as she does!
