Here’s Sarah Jessica Parker looking SO MUCH better than she did at the Oscars. Honestly, I do like SJP’s style, but she’s so much better in business-cocktail-wear than evening wear. Look at how pretty and fresh she looks! And compare that to her Wrath of God appearance at the Oscars (photo below). Anyway, here is SJP going solo last night at a bash for… wait for it… Bravo’s “Real Houswives”. Honestly, I think the party was for Bravo programming in general, but there were a lot of ‘Housewives’ there, and SJP should be totally above that sh-t. Is she trying to sell something to Bravo? Like, a television show or something? Why the downmarket appearance?
And why was she alone?!? Oh right, because Matthew Broderick rarely makes public appearances with his wife, and when he does, he looks totally uninterested in each other. Like at the Oscars. There’s some interesting gossip about them at the Oscars, actually. In Touch Weekly reported that “Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were barely speaking at the Oscars, used separate dressing rooms and arrived and left separately.” Oh, that a good one, gossip-wise, isn’t it? And it goes along with a blind item I read yesterday:
There was a well-known entertainment pair at the Academy Awards who sat together, occasionally holding and laughing together. What a nice couple! Not. They actually can’t stand each other and haven’t lived together in months. However, as one of Hollywood’s perceived stable couples, they are not yet ready to explain to the world that their long-time (by Hollywood standards) relationship is over. Certainly not in such a public setting. And if one of them had showed up solo, or with another escort, it would have brought up too many questions. So it was easier just to go together, pretend that everything’s great, and to go their separate ways after the big event… each to a new boyfriend.

It could be them. My initial thought was “Melanie Griffith and Antonia Banderas” but I think SJP and Broderick might be a better fit. We’ll see.
Lastly, SJP and her Sex and the City girls are going to be honored at this year’s Showest with the “Best Ensemble” award. That’s right, at some point this year (I don’t feel like looking it up) we’re going to be inundated with SATC crap for the sequel film. New stills were just released, and Agent Bedhead has them, in all of their sketchy hilarity. Agent Bedhead theorized, “I gotta wonder whether the makeup artist really didn’t like Sarah Jessica Parker all that much because she’s resembling a cadaver.” Bedhead, try this word on for size- “Corpsey”. And I totally agree.

It seems like this couple has been ‘off’ for quite some time. If this is true, I hope they didn’t have those twin babies to salvage their marriage. That’s an awful lot of responsibility for children.
I don’t care for her, and I certainly don’t see him as attractive. Meh, that’s my opinion, so be it!

They have been plagued by these false stories for their entire marraige, which has been almost 13 years now. If there was any real proof, it would have come out already. I think the tabloids are just pissed that they haven’t gotten it right in over a decade, so they will keep pushing it. Also, Just beacuse Matthew is a theatre geek does not mean that he is gay……yes he’s a lil fem but that does not equal gay….some guys are just like that, doesn’t mean he hates the vag

I dunno, I want to think of them as happy but years and years and years ago I became convinced he was gay because he wore clogs. NO STRAIGHT MEN IN AMERICA wear clogs unless they are working in a kitchen or a hospital!

I wish she would stop lining the insides of her eyes. This makes Taylor Momsen look edgy, but once you’re older and everything, including your eyes, is shrinking, it makes the windows to your soul look like blackened little slits.
I get so aggravated with these clutching-at-youth women (see also: Nicole K., Meg R.) who are doing everything to distract us from their extraordinary natural charm, talent and attractiveness.
All that botox, starving, injecting nonsense doesn’t make you look young, it makes you look desperate and insecure. You’re amazing, stop messing with a good thing!

Hasn’t SJP always attended award shows alone. He never went with her when SATC was HUGE and winning her awards. She was always alone. Making excuses for him not attending with her.
I just assumed he only showed up for the Oscars because he was part of the tribute for the late great John Hughes.

I have always enjoyed the work of both these actors. However, maintaining a healthy balanced relationship for as many years is challenging for anyone, let alone people who live under the microscope of celebrity. I would not be surprised if there is a facade that they maintain, for whatever reason. If it is their choice, they are the ones that have to live with it, not us. Leave them be.

These sham marriages and relationships are getting to be a bit tiresome!! Marriages of convience is certainly not news in show biz circles. So many in the entertainment industry should be nominated and receiving awards for who can put on the best acting performance that they are happy, in love and life is just grand !!

SJP had her line promoted on project runway when it was on Bravo and was a special judge/guest for the show, so I am guessing thats why they invited her and she came.

Ally – I love your rant and completely agree with you. I am not opposed to getting things done to make yourself look better, but sometimes it is just too much. I think growing old gracefully is something in which to look forward and not backward.

Broderick was always a poser and insecure in his self-identity. Remember the pastel suits and bow ties? Maybe since he’s on that ancestry show, on tomorrow
tonight, he’ll get a sense of himself. I missed last week’s because I was on here and Dlisted cracking up over the Jen Aniston Perfume contest. My faves which didn’t make it wasEau Va Rated…the smell of mediocrity and baby oil.

But I can’t wait to catch a repeat of SJP on that Who Do You Think You Are? show. I don’t know if they mentioned it but it was discovered through testing that the grain stored to make bread had a hallicigan (mold) in it that led to the witch trials. It’s funny to think that “it’s over” unless a couple is all over one another! My husband and I have been together 20+ years. Sometimes we go to parties together, sometimes we go alone, sometimes I meet him there, sometimes he’ll meet me, sometimes we’ll be attending the same function and not see one another all evening. For goodness sake! We’re all real people with real lives- even those who seem to be living out our fantasies.

Go to http://www.accesshollywood.com and watch the video of these two being interviewed by Billy Bush. There is NO way these two are not together. Neither one is that good of an actor that they could pull it off.
Besides, the bs about them not living together is ridiculous. There are daily pics of both of them coming and going from home in the West Village. There was just a pic last week of her leaving the house and Matthew at the door saying goodbye. She also flew down to Shreeveport to be with him for 1 night when he made an appearance there for a movie promotion. That was just a few weeks ago. If anything, I’d say they are more together than they’ve ever been.. -
I’ve actually always thought that Matthew Broderick was in the closet. That blind item probably IS about them.

I was at closing night of his play in December. SJP was there, she had just come back from Morocco filming SATC. She sat alone behind friends and was the first one on her feet applauding at the end. They made definite eye contact and beamed at each other. Far from all the gossip.

SJP and Jennifer Aniston should do a movie together and be sisters in the film as they have very similar features and look quite alike. That top pic of SJP reminds me so much of JA, its spooky. The two of them together in a film might be a hit too…

Matthew is eccentric but not gay. He is very old fashioned and comes across as a soft, almost effeminate guy, but that doesn’t make him gay. These marriage rumors have been around for years. Makes no sense for them to have gone through so much to have those babies and then turn around and break up. If anything, the twins seem more a reinforcement of their union. I have never seen them in public so much since SJP came back from filming SATC2.

When I recently saw the SATC movie…all I could think of was that these women were just too old to be believable any more! Then, the second movie started filming…and poor Sarah Jessica was whining that she wasn’t bonding with her babies…because she was away doing the movie! OMG…stay home and raise your children. Keep an eye on your cheating husband! And for goodness sake…eat a sandwich once in a while…it won’t kill you!

SJP is producing a new show for Bravo that follows the Project Runway/Top Chef/Shear Genius model focusing on visual artists in competition.

I know she is not a classic beauty, but I think she takes care of herself well, has a killer body, and is very attractive in her own way.
Also, I give her MAJOR props for never giving into the pressure and getting plastic surgery. Even without it, her talent has made her one of the richest women in Hollywood.
All of those look-a-like Barbies running around LA (yes, I am looking at you Heidi Montauge) should learn from this woman.
