‘Eclipse’ trailer: Needs More Sparkles

Finally, the full trailer for Eclipse is out! And it’s kind of meh. Needs more Sparkles, in my opinion. But it’s good, I guess. It leaves you hungry, wanting more. The Twihards will have a field day. This is also the first time we get to see Bryce Dallas Howard, who replaced Rachelle Lefevre as one of the bad vampires. And there’s lots of Jacob, who apparently, like, never wears a shirt. Here’s People’s summary, with a SPOILER at the top:

When fans last left Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) at the conclusion of New Moon, the dreamy vamp had popped the question to his stunned mortal beloved, leaving Twi-hards to wonder if she’d accept.

Well, the wait is over: The first trailer for Eclipse – the third film in The Twilight Saga – was officially unveiled Wednesday morning, providing a much-hungered-for first look at what’s in store for the supernatural couple. Plus, the clip gives viewers a first look at the new Rachel: Bryce Dallas Howard in a fierce set of red curls!

Eclipse is due to hit theaters June 30, but for fan-pires lusting for an immediate quench to their thirst, pick up New Moon on DVD March 20 or check out Pattinson’s latest film, Remember Me, in theaters Friday.

[From People Magazine]

LaineyGossip claimed that Twihards were going to be seeing Remember Me in droves, all to support Sparkles in every non-Cullen adventure. Which is the kind of epic, fanatical fan base most studios dream of. I can only imagine that this “meh” trailer will be watched obsessively about a bajillion times today. And tomorrow. And the next day…

Um, how about reading the book and finding out. You can’t be a true Twit (I like Twit better that Twi-hard) without having read the books 100 times.

God, I wish this whole craze would move on already. Especially the fact that there’s people older than in their teens that are into this.

I too, am not a teenager (and haven’t been one for some time!) I love a good love story especially one which involves the struggle of, “is this the best choice for me?”, and the answer is no. But there’s still that “love” thing confusing the sit. I love, love, love the Twilight series, read the books and cannot wait to see the next movie!! And that is my business, not anyone elses!!

  6. Squirtle says:

    OOOH I CAN’T WAIT! I’m not a teen either…I’m so excited!

  7. Aitch says:

Bryce looks excellent. The “Triangle” just looks meh… I agree but the stills up there are super HOT!

  8. Confuzzle says:

Harlequin romance book cheese on the big screen. No wonder so many housewives lap this rubbish up.

  9. vocality says:

I want this movie to just disappear, accompanied with the CGI sparkles to make it more ~dramatic~

    Oh, and the books too.

  10. MymaJane says:

I tried watching “New Moon” yesterday and it was so horrible I couldn’t finish it. I only managed to get through the first one because my friends and I were drinking gin and tonics.

The books are absolute rubbish. Or I should say “book” because I only got through a few chapters of the first one before I threw it against the wall in frustration. Lady needs to learn how to write.

    Rob is not attractive.

  12. rtms says:

Bryce looks terriable and not at all scary. Only the wig is bad, lol.

  13. Kim says:

OMG! I have never seen any of the movies or read the books and this trailer just shows Im not missing anything. These 2, esp. the girl, are the 2 worst actors ever! She is absolutely painful to watch!

  14. Emily says:

I think I’m going insane, because the other day, I actually considered sitting down to watch these movies. In my defence, I was thinking they’d make awesome drinking games (provided you somehow don’t get alcohol poisoning), but I’m still not sure I could live with myself.
