Beyonce’s dad, Mathew Knowles, is officially the baby-daddy of love child

GRAMMY Jam - Arrivals

In a classic Maury Povich moment, DNA tests have confirmed that Mathew Knowles, the mastermind of superstar Beyonce Knowles’ career, is indeed the father of a baby boy.The child’s mother, Alexsandra Wright, a 30-something year-old costume designer from California, has claimed all along that Knowles was the daddy, and that the two had an 18-month affair. Mr. Knowles, on the other hand, has been more than a little reluctant to admit to anything.

Beyonce Knowles is officially a big sister again. A DNA test has confirmed that Mathew Knowles is the father of Alexsandra Wright’s brand new baby boy … sources tell TMZ.

With the DNA test a match, we’re told lawyers for Knowles and Wright are in the final stages of negotiating a settlement for baby Nixon’s child support.

Wright filed a paternity suit last October against Knowles — who was temporarily ordered to pay $8,200 in monthly child support.

Wright claims she had an 18-month affair with Knowles.

As far as we know, nothing’s tricky about Nixon …. so far.

[From TMZ]

The problem with Knowles fathering this child is that at the time, he was married to Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother and business partner. Sources say the love child is the reason Tina filed for divorce last December, after nearly 30 years together. There has been very little information on the status of the divorce, or the terms of any settlement. But between the two of them, both Tina and Mathew have managed to amass quite a fortune thanks to their daughter – Mathew not only created Destiny’s Child, the group that launched Beyonce’s career, but he is also her manager and founded his own record label. Tina is a co-founder of the House of Dereon fashion line. Something tells me things are going to be ugly – even though both Knowles have claimed the split was “amicable.” A love child has a way of making things…awkward.

Catherine, his appeal is that he has crocksh*ts of cash.

What is it with men, that they can’t just be honest and divorce their wives before they decide to sleep around? Do they think that it won’t end up biting them in the arse in the end?

There does seem to be a common creepiness. It probably comes from the relentless push to make your kid a star, willingness to forgo their childhood, insistence on managing their career, etc.

My heart simply goes out to Tina Knowles and her children. Even though she’s divorcing Matthew; this sort of public humiliation makes it that much harder to deal with. If he was “so unhappy”, why didn’t he go ahead and initiate a divorce? When you’re trying “to have your cake and eat it to”; the more money and notoriety attached to your persona, the riskier it becomes. How could he have been so naive? He’s almost 60 years old! Wright was looking for a way to make a “payday” and “bingo”, she hit the “jackpot”! When you’re freaking with someone you’re not married to, it’s much better to be safe than sorry!

@ meooooow – true that! And a cyber-dap to ya.

Matthew Knowles reminds me of Joe Jackson. I think Tina knew about this all along , but pulled s Hilary Clinton because she had other plans. Like establishing her own career off of Beyonce’s back. I think she would have continued on turning a blind eye had not one of his mistresses had a child with him.

And lol @ those of you who are starting a countdown. You all are too much. :-) I love it!

Here we go again, another proof that no man can be faithfull! They all cheat, all of them, and if you think your boyfriend or husband isn’t, its only because he hasn’t been caught yet!
