These are photos of Taylor Swift talking to her new rumored boyfriend Cory Monteith, the cute kid from Glee. They were bowling. And they stood close to each other. Is this enough of a confirmation? Generally, I go on less, but there’s reason to doubt this one. LaineyGossip reports that her sources are telling her that Taylor is maybe still dating (on the downlow) John Mayer. Taylor and Mayer were rumored to be somewhat hot and heavy pre-Playboy interview, and many of us hoped that Swifty would kick his racist, sexist, homophobic douche ass to the curb. Not so much, if you’re going by Lainey.
Meanwhile, if Cory wasn’t enough cover for Swifty, she went out to lunch with her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner yesterday (photos here). Of course, her mom was there, as was his publicist and her publicist. Here’s more:

The country singer, 20, and the New Moon star, 18, were spotted having lunch together at The Farm of Beverly Hills on Wednesday afternoon.
After dining together, the Valentine’s Day stars — who broke up in December after three months of dating — took an SUV together to a nearby hotel. They were accompanied by their publicists.
Could Swift be having second thoughts about the split?
“I overthink everything, I overanalyze everything,” the star recently told Elle magazine. “I’ve had countless opportunities to do some really bad things.”
Still, Swift may have her sights on another guy. She was spotted hanging out with Glee star Cory Monteith — who told UsMagazine.com back in November that Swift was his celebrity crush, adding, “I think talent is attractive” — at Pinz Bowling Alley one day earlier.
A source told Us that she and Monteith, 27, have been “hanging out,” which included a January Grammy party and a late-night dinner in February.
The source added: “They seemed really happy.”

I feel like Swifty really wants to keep her public image of the “nice girl” intact while she’s allowing herself to be wooed by Mayer. Does she understand what a douche Mayer is? Or does she just think he’s “misunderstood”? I mean, I kind of understand why she thought Mayer was some big deal, pre-Playboy interview. She had just come off of what was probably a “beard” situation with Taylor Lautner, and the girl just wanted some attention from a guy who seemed mature. Hopefully, she and Cory Monteith will spend more time together and she’ll forget all about the douche.

I don’t believe she’s with Mayer. First, because no way her manager – or her mother – would let her. They’d tie her down, make her leave the city, wrap her in Saran Wrap – anything to keep her away from him, no matter how old she is.
And despite his penchant for ruining nice people, she’s not really his type. She’s sort of dumb, blonde and goofy, but she’s a little too good and she won’t be seen in public with him, which will ultimately make his moronic confessions sort of moot if he doesn’t have the pictures to back them up.
I think she’s probably just sort of dating here and there. I don’t think she was ever serious about Lautner. That screams Disney-type setup. There’s something about him that kind of makes my stomach feel icky. This guy from Glee seems cute though. 🙂
She’s totally with Mayer. No one was buying her “relationship” with Lautner, so her team’s moved her on to Montieth, who seems like he’d actually be into her, if it weren’t for Mayer. The photo op with Lautner was probably to (A) demonstrate their still friendly and (B) be used as a plan B

I just cannont see her with John Mayer. He is known for being a womanizer, and we all know how he likes to talk his about his sex life while Taylor Swift is very Christian and more conservative. Not exactly on the same level that the Disney stars proclaim to be, but still. Plus I think it would be weird with the age difference. I don’t see why her and Taylor Lautner aren’t just friends.
My bet is that she is with Cory. And I think they would make a cute couple. However how are we to really know. She could just be good friends with all of them.

what’s the hell is it with going out accompanied by their publicists? Even taking mom to your date with a friend seems a bit weird for 20y.o. but at least she’s mom, not employee! It’s ghoulish just like those scientology “minders” that were assigned to accompany Katie Holmes everywhere she went back in their early days with Tom.
Still dating John? Were they ever dating? I think a dinner and attending a his concert is bit of a stretch to say they are/were dating. I don’t know about dating Cory. I don’t know people can’t believe that people of the opposite sex can be friends. Besides that seems like an odd paring. A lot of Taylors (boy)friends have been teens (Taylor, Jonas, Miley, Selena). I don’t think a guy in their late 20’s and early 30’s would be interested in a girl who’s in with the Disney set.
She sure seems like such a nice young woman (although for awhile there, coverage of her was a bit over the top – understandably so, I suppose.) If she is who she appears to be, she should be able to figure out before it is too late what kind of guy Mayer is and that he isn’t good enough for her. In a perfect world, HE would fall head over heels in love with her and SHE would dump HIM!

I know that it is a hard concept for tabloids to understand that there are people in the world who have friends that may be the opposite sex. Taylor has said in interviews that she is not going to let the tabloids dictate who she is friends with or dates. She has also said that she sits back and laughs at everything that is written about her life because a lot of the junk is fabricated and blown out of proportion. Taylor looks up to John as a mentor in the music industry. She had lunch with Taylor L. with both there mom’s and publicist. Not very romantic. She went bowling with Cory and made avery public display of affection knowing camera’s were on her. I am guessing she is sending clear message she is with Cory. That is only a presumption and not a fact.
