I wish we could boycott soda, for no other reason than for manufacturers to use REAL SUGAR instead of HFCS (don't believe the commercials). I rarely drink soda since I've been on Weight Watchers; I'm not against anyone who drinks it regularly. Like other posters mentioned Soda is just as bad because of Aspertame. I only occasionally drink juice, and usually it's V-8 or V-8 Juice Blends. No juice sweetened with anything but the fruit it contains. I quit drinking diet soda when I discovered aspartame causes wicked migraines, which was many years ago. And one 8 ounce serving of any soda wipes out the amount of calcium in a glass of milk. Also the phosphoric acid in soda leaches calcium from the bones and all the sugar is bad for the pancreas, which is what I read in the health section of the newspaper the other day. If you breathe it in, it WILL kill you. I think if people really knew what was in their food, they might think twice about eating it. Also, high fructose corn syrup has mercury in it so it really IS poison in more than one way. And most processed foods (like chips, frozen pizza, etc) have soy in them...which is terrible for you since it causes cancer and about half of all soy crops are genetically modified. Haven't y'all noticed that kids who are raised on soy based formulas are ALWAYS sickly, with allergies, rashes, etc? It is scary shit when you research these things, I did and my diet is as natural as humanly possible, and I feel SO much better. I don't even miss junk food that often....more so now that I'm pregnant but once you stop, if you eat it, you will be SICK! It's crazy. dread pirate cuervo-
