Tina Fey’s “Snooki poof” hair: cute or hideous?

You know I love some Tina Fey. She’s smart, she’s funny, she’s sassy, and she’s not full of herself. But sometimes I hate the way she’s styled. Part of thinks that Tina just does what she’s told, that she trusts people who f-ck her up, style-wise. Another part of me think Tina just has really bad taste in fashion and styling, and that’s why she ends up looking like this. This is Tina on the red carpet for the New York premiere of Date Night, which comes out this week. What the hell is going on with her hair? HuffPo calls this hair “the Snooki Poof” after that Jersey Shore girl. Whatever it’s called, it needs to stop.

While on the red carpet, People caught up with Tina about her ideal double date:

Though her ideal date night is eating at a cool restaurant and singing karaoke with her husband, Tina Fey would also love to spend a night out by going on a double date with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

“The first thing that I would do is make it very clear [to Pitt and Jolie] that there is no wife swapping,” Fey kiddingly told PEOPLE at Tuesday’s New York premiere of her new film Date Night. “I would lay that down at home before we even left the house.”

Once the rules were set, what would Fey, 39, and her composer husband Jeff Richmond, 49, have in store for the night’s activities? Forget dinner and a movie, the 30 Rock star would plan a competitive but friendly game of bowling.

“We would go bowling because I feel like I have bigger, stronger arms than Angelina,” said the SNL veteran. “I think I might be able to bowl better than her.”

As for Fey’s daughter Alice, the 4-year-old is already busy going on dates herself with other boys – as in play dates.

“She’s good with the boys,” says the proud mom. “She plays nicely with both the girls and boys, but she can start dating in 50 years!”

[From People]

Is Tina saying she doesn’t want to f-ck Brad Pitt? Because A) He doesn’t do that, he just talks and nuzzles like a little girl, and B) Tina is terrified of the beard of doom.

Did everyone see Tina and Steve on Oprah yesterday? They were both a little boring, especially him. I have no problem with Steve being a really nice guy, but Jeez, is he a boring interview. But I did love that Tina asked Oprah about Jamie Foxx – that was funny.

Oh, guess who else was at the premiere? Hugh Jackman! He must want a guest part on 30 Rock. If I was an actor, I would kill to be on that show.

Not Cute, Very Hideous- but maybe intentionally hilarious? She could be getting tired of Sarah Palin, and is now looking to take on the idiocy that is JerseyShore???

Just trying to be hopeful because I love Miss Fey!

  2. NancyMan says:

    Yeah, That’s a Dealbreaker!

    Tina, Shut it down!

  3. Sumodo1 says:

    It’s hilarious hair.

  4. Jeri says:

uh… I thought it was pretty obvious she was saying “she’s married” but open to a “double date.” You can make it about an attraction or a “not interested” about Pitt if you want but it sounded clear to me.

  5. Sarah says:

    Hair fail.

  6. Brooke says:

Please don’t automatically associate the pompadour, which is a tasteful, becoming and classic hairstyle, with whatever poorly conceived creation that Jersey rat wears. I think Tina looks cute here (and other agencies have more flattering pictures). I often wear a pompadour myself and am frequently complimented on it; never been confused with walking refuse.

  7. LolaBella says:

Ms. Fey gets a pass from me on the atrocious hair.

    Just.This.Once.

Hugh Jackman is gorgeous in that pic!
    Totally swoon-worthy. Le Sigh.

  8. Leticia says:

I wonder what Tina Fey would say if she saw someone else wearing this hairstyle. I doubt she would be forgiving.

  9. Ron says:

Hair miss….but I like that she tries different things. She looked great today on Regis and Kelly.

  10. Gwen says:

She looks like an adult Bristol Palin. Fail!

  11. anon says:

meh i don’t think it’s THAT bad. a bit dated but it’s fine.

  12. gg says:

It’s spelled “pouf”, it’s in the wrong spot, and it looks bad anywhere you put it.

  13. Aitch says:

Too bad Bristol Palin wears her hair like this every time I see her and I associate her with it. ahhh, Tina Fey must have karma with the Sarah Palin family!

  14. Samantha says:

I like it, Snookie didn’t invent that look so screw her. Tina looks good with it.

  15. Cinderella says:

Tina can do no wrong in my book, so I’m going to say she did it on purpose.

  16. archiepelago says:

Tina has an 80’s feel and this hair is her default ‘sexy minx’ . Seen it before on 30 Rock and in Baby Mama, just never so poofalicious.

  17. kuhaw says:

this hairstyle has been around los angeles since at least 2004 when I was living there. ITS NOT A SNOOKIE CREATION. stop giving her credit.

  18. Aviatrix says:

Uh yeah…Snooki wears hers further back on her head like right in the very center of her head. Other people have worn this for a while now and I don’t think she looks bad at all. She actually looks younger and it’s clean and fresh looking. I wear mine like that sometimes and am also prone to pulling the rest back in a sleek ponytail.

  19. Rianna says:

This hairstyle is not flattering to anyone. It is beehive-ish. Ugh.

  20. GatsbyGal says:

Wow does she ever look stupid.

  21. Melanie says:

I love that she said she would like to bowl against Angelina Jolie because “my arms are bigger” and she could beat her. Funny!

  22. Emily says:

I like the hair. I’m actually wearing my hair like that now (it needs a wash but is too short to put in a ponytail), just that my pouf isn’t that high. I think it depends on your face shape if you can pull it off or not. And that Snooki bitch did NOT invent it, it’s been around for years now.

  23. Kim says:

The funny thing is she wasnt trying to be funny or like Snooki – her hair was styled that way & just looks like the poof.

  24. Fifthpocket says:

Tina Fey? More like Rachel Dratch!

  25. I Choose Me says:

Hearing a lot about Mr. Foxx these days. I don’t care if he’s gay/bi or whatev but first he was linked to Kirstie and now Oprah? Talk about unlikely pairings.

  26. Kittypants says:

Never mind the hair, there are more important matters to attend to! *points at Hugh Jackman* phwoar…

  27. Chessie says:

Not my favorite style on her, but props for trying something different.

  28. late night wigs says:

I think it’s cute! I’ve always wanted to be able to wear my hair like this, but it looks weird on me 🙁
